Chapter Text

Eagleland, 200X:

In the small town of Onett, a young boy by the name of Ness was sitting at the dinner table with his mother and sister. It had been a few years since he and his friends Paula, Jeff, and Poo had saved the world from the alien invasion of Giygas and his forces, and they had spent those years keeping in touch with each other as they grew up. Ever since Giygas was defeated, there was still one matter of whatever happened to his next door neighbor Porky Minch, who was last seen by them fleeing through time from the Devil's Machine as he and his friends fought off Giygas.

Just then there was a knock at the front door, to which Ness went over and opened to see Porky's younger brother, Picky Minch, standing in front of the doorway looking as if he had seen a ghost.

Picky: Hey Ness. I know this is pretty weird to say, but I saw something weird near the meteor that fell a few years ago.

Ness: The meteor Buzz Buzz arrived from? What did it look like?

Picky: I'm not sure, but the police are setting up blockades like last time. 

Ness: If that's the case, I should probably check it out. I gotta Grab a few things first.

After grabbing a baseball bat and a yo-yo, Ness and Picky set off to the hilltop that had started the original journey, making their way past police barricades until they reached the top of the hill.

Once Ness and Picky made it to the hilltop, there was a spacecraft next to the meteorite, and standing in front of a meteorite was a blue colored Mook holding a guitar, a Mr.Saturn wearing a cowboy hat, a Starman with a crack on its chest, and a pair of aliens that Ness didn't know what they were supposed to be. One wore clothing that was similar to his clothes, while the other didn't wear a single piece of clothing.

Mook: So this is where Zarbol landed to find the first chosen human.

Mr. Saturn: It appears so. His ship is in the crater, Zoom.

Starman: At least he was still able to tell the chosen human what to do.

Ness: Excuse me, but what is going on here? 

The aliens turned around to see Ness and Picky, with Picky a little bit worried at the sight of the aliens. The aliens seemed to look at Ness with a sense of awe.

Ness: I don't understand what's going on, so could I at least start with names? I'm a bit wary about the Starman, though.

Mook: I can understand, since Giygas' forces have caused you trouble. My name is Alinivar, the Mr. Saturn is Col. Saturn, Larice is the Starman, and the two Geegs are Niiue and Giegue. We were with Zarbol as we tried to find the apple of enlightenment. Call us the Applechasers.

Picky: Okay, but what brought you all here?

Alinivar: Well, it's kind of a long story, but its mostly because we also need your help.

Col. Saturn: Boing! It also gave a chance to see what happened to Zarbol. 

Ness's face scrunched up at the mention of Zarbol, or Buzz Buzz as Ness knew him as, since he was killed by Porky and Picky's mom with a swat because she thought Buzz Buzz was a dung beetle.

Ness: He's... dead. I'm sorry you had to hear that. 

Picky: My mom thought your friend was a dung beetle, and she's scared of insects.

Alinivar: Oh no. Was he at least able to give his explanation?

Ness: Yes, he even helped me unlock PSI to help stop Giygas. 

Giegue tensed up when Ness mentioned Giygas, and there was a brief silence due to how awkward it was until Ness decided to change the subject.

Ness: So what did you need my help with?

Picky: Am I going to be involved? I don't want to end up missing like my brother.

Alinivar: Greyface, or Porky, is basically using time travel to build an army to take over the world.

Ness: That explains the letter I had gotten when I came back home after we stopped Giygas. Looks like I need to make a few phone calls to my friends.

Picky: I should probably head back home. Porky's clearly lost his mind.  

Ness: Yeah, we should be heading back. How are you all going to not be noticed by others?

Larice: We have disguises in our ship, so give us a moment.

The aliens went back into the spaceship, and a few minutes later they were in human disguises. Niiue then pressed a button that 

Ness: Pretty good disguises. 

With that, Ness, Picky, and the Applechasers went down the hilltop to bring Picky back to his house, where his and Porky's parents were waiting for him.

Lardna: What in Sam Hill is going on out there? 

Aloysius: You better have a good reason to be outside, young man. You remember what happened to your older brother.

Giegue: (Oh great, they're insufferable.)

Niiue: (Something I have to agree with.)

Lardna: Picky Minch, you will go to your room right now! Don't come back out until tomorow morning!

Picky then went upstairs to his room, and his parents looked at Ness and the disguised Applechasers.

Aloysius: I'm sorry my son troubled you. Ever since Porky disappeared, He's been trying to search for him all over town. If you ever find him, bring him back home. He's going to get the punishment of a lifetime!

Ness: I'll... let you know if I find him.

Ness and the Applechasers then went back to Ness's house, where his mother and sister were waiting for him and noticed the Applechasers.

Ness's mother: Ness, who are these people? 

The Applechasers then explained their predicament involving Porky's return and his plan to take over the world to both ness's mother and Tracy.

Tracy: So if Porky wants to take over the world, does that mean Ness is going to stop him?

Larice: Yes, along with the rest of the chosen four. We also believe the original chosen four could also have a hand in stopping Porky.

Ness's Mother: Well, I suggest that you start tomorrow. Wouldn't want to start another adventure tired, now won't we?

Ness: Yes mom, I'll also try to call the others.

And with that, Ness went to his room to have a full night's sleep in preparation for the adventure as the Applechasers went back to their spaceship.

Meanwhile, Niiue and Giegue were in the same room when Niiue noticed Giegue having a nervous look on his face.

Niiue: What's the matter? you've been nervous since we arrived on earth.

Giegue: I can still feel the presence of my insanity on this planet. I'm scared of becoming Giygas again, and I don't know what to do.

Niiue: Well, it's probably a small sliver of influence. Giygas is gone forever, and we both are separate from his evil.

Giegue: Another thing that worries me is seeing Ninten, considering how we met while I was trying to invade this planet.

Niiue: If we were able to forgive you, what's to say Ninten can't too?

Giegue: ...I guess that would mean I can start forgiving myself.

And so Ness, along with the Applechasers, had a long night's rest because it was now the start of a new adventure that would Reunite Ness and his friends along with a group that were the first Chosen four to save Earth.

Chapter Text

After waking up and having a nice breakfast, Ness began to make a phone call as the Applechasers were in the living room in their disguises.

Niiue: Who are you trying to call?

Ness: I'm going to call Paula. If Porky's really going to try and take over the world, we're gonna need all the help we can get.

Alinivar: Do you think that she'll be willing to help?

Ness: Yes, I do. Just don't know how She'll react to everything at the moment. The same probably goes for Jeff and Poo. 

Ness began to dial Paula's phone number, and after ringing a bit Paula picked up.

Paula: Hello?

Ness: Hi Paula.

Paula: Ness? It's been a while since we last spoke.

Ness: Yeah, It has been a while. Anyway, there's something that happened last night and we need to tell Jeff and Poo about it.

Paula: So, what's the problem? 

Ness then began to explain the events that happened the previous night, from the aliens that arrived to help them, to the fact of Porky trying to take over the world and that they needed to call Jeff and Poo.

Paula: If Porky wants to take over the world, he's gonna have to get through us. I'll contact Jeff and Poo with my telepathy, while you and the Applechasers can meet up with me in Twoson.

Ness: Alright. See you in Twoson, Paula.

Ness then hung up the phone, packed a few things, told the Applechasers about Paula and his plan, and they all left Ness's house to head to Twoson.

The city of Onett had changed a bit since the Chosen Four had Defeated Giygas, some old buildings had gotten renovated, Ness was known as a local hero, and the town was still alive as it was in 199X.

Alinivar: This place has changed since we came here.

Ness: Wait, When did you come here? Because Buzz Buzz said he came from the future.

Larice: We didn't come to Onett, we came to earth while we were on our journey.

Alinivar: We did have to time travel a couple of time.

Ness: Well, thankfully there's no influence causing the animals and people to act crazy.

Giegue: Good.

Ness and the Applechasers explored around Onett, only to see that there was a small fight breaking out between a few remaining members of the Sharks gang and a group of soldiers wearing pig masks.

Niiue: What the...?

Shark member: Keep out of our city, Pork pie!

Pigmask: Never. The one called our king is in command of these troops.

Ness: Looks like a group fight. I thought the Sharks disbanded after I beat Frank Fly.

One of the Pigmask's noticed Ness and announced it to the rest of the pigmasks that were fighting the Shark members.

Pigmask: He's here! The enemy of our king is here!

Shark: Hey! Lay off of Ness, your fight is with us.

Pigmask: He is the enemy to our king! He must be brought to him!

Ness: Porky.

Niiue: Most likely.

Ness: Well, I'm going to stop your king.

Pigmask: Try it, you weakling!

And then began the fight between Ness and the Pigmask troops, with Ness using a combination of his bat and PSI abilities to gain the upper hand and win the battle, leaving the Pigmask troops to 

Pigmask: This isn't over. Our king will make this world ours, mark my words. You and your friends won't win.

The Pigmask troopers then ran off to who-knows-where  as Ness checked on the Sharks member.

Ness: Who were those guys?

Shark member: I don't know. All they talked about was their king, whoever he is. I'm heading back to the arcade, that's where the remains of us Sharks are.

Ness: Okay, good luck.

And with that, Ness and the Applechasers began to trek over to Twoson while fighting off any Pigmask troopers on the way until they had arrived to Twoson, which thankfully wasn't being attacked by the Pigmask Army.

When they arrived in Twoson, the town was the same as it was When he first arrived in 199X, albeit with Burglin Park having some extra things for sale. Ness and the Applechasers went through Twoson until they were at the Polestar Preschool, where Paula was standing in front of until she noticed Ness and the Applechasers.

Paula: Good to see you made it. 

Ness: Sorry if we were late, there were these weird guys dressed like Stormtroopers in pig masks.

Paula: Do you think they were with Porky?

Ness: I am sure. They called me their king's enemy. Guess his ego was changed from all that time travel.

Paula: Probably. I only met him when he was with that creepy Happy Happyism cult Carpainter Kidnapped me for.

Paula then noticed the Applechasers, and was able to see through their human disguises with her telepathy.

Paula: Are you the Applechasers that Ness met last night?

Alinivar: Yes, we are. You must be Paula. 

Paula: I am, but what's this thing about Porky wanting to take over the world?

Niiue explained their history with Porky and about his plan to take over the world with his Pigmask army, with Ness telling about his fight with the Pigmask troopers in Onett.

Paula: Good thing I called Jeff and Poo. They should be coming in a couple minutes.

Just as Paula said it, a Sky runner landed safely in the road, along with a flash of light coming from nowhere. The Sky runner opened up to reveal Jeff piloting it, and Poo appeared from the flash of light.

Ness: Good to see we're all here, now how do we stop Porky?

Niiue: Well, he's most likely in a place that he'll want to be hidden from while his army does his dirty work.

Jeff: Sound's like something out of Giygas's rulebook. He's probably hiding somewhere in time.

Alinivar: We've been trailing him for a while, and he's currently stuck in this year.

Jeff: That made things easier for us. The only issue would be where he is.

Suddenly there was the sound of marching coming closer to the Chosen Four and Applechasers, and when they turned there was a small army of Pigmask troopers aiming their weapons at them. A blue colored Pigmask trooper was leading the front of the line and gave his announcement to the group.

Pigmask captain: All of you are coming with us. We will bring you to the presence of our king.

Ness: In your dreams. Where's Porky?

Pigmask Captain: As if we would tell you where our king is. He lives in a place you won't be able to find. Now Come with us!

Paula: Absolutely not! We'll stop your king, and he will not take over the world.

The Pigmask Troopers raised their weapons at the group because of their defiance.

Pigmask Capitan: Soldiers! Prepare to Fire on my command! One...Two...Three!

Thankfully, A series of psychic thunderbolts struck the entire Pigmask army before they could fire, and the chosen four turned to see Gigue with his arm outstretched and his hand open.

Giegue: If anyone want's to mess with them, you mess with me first! 

Giegue then stared down the troopers with a serious expression, and one by one they began to flee from Twoson because of them being scared of Gigue's PSI . After the Troopers all had fled, the Chosen four and the Apple chasers noticed that one of the Pigmask troops left a map in their hurry.

Ness: Wonder what this map is of.

The map was shown to be of the entirety of Eagleland, with markings of towns that were most likely going to be invaded by the Pigmask army, but one thing that stood out was the symbol of a crown labeled south of a town called Ellay and east of a mountain called Mt. Itoi. The revelation of where Porky was caused Giegue to space out due to remembering when he fought Ninten and his friends.

Ness: Guess Porky's army needed to remember where their boss was, but now they're going to deal with all of us.

Paula: Looks like he's hiding in North Eagleland. Mt. Itoi is the tallest mountain in the country. 

Jeff: We could make it to the town by taking the bus here in Twoson.

The Chosen four and Applechasers then went to the Twoson bus station and asked the Bus driver if the bus goes to Ellay. Unfortunately, the Twoson bus didn't have any routes to Ellay, which put an unfortunate pause on both group's journey. Because of this hampering, it seemed like they were out of luck, but thankfully they saw the familiar tour bus of the Runaway Five next to the Chaos Theater.

Paula: Maybe we could ask the Runaway Five for help. I mean, they helped us out in Treed and Fourside.

Jeff:  That sounds like a good idea. 

Both groups went to the Chaos Theatre, where the Runaway Five had finished doing a show and were about to hit the road for their next show until they were approached by both groups.

Ness: Hey guys, we need your help going somewhere.

Lucky: Where's it to, kids? 

Paula: It's at Ellay, in North Eagleland. Do you think that you'll be able to make it there?

Gorgeous: Sure we can make it to Ellay, we're doing a show in the town closest to Ellay.

Larice: And where is that?

Lucky: Youngtown. To reach Ellay, you're going to have to go through a swamp. We can drop you all off at Youngtown and you can head to Ellay from there.

Ness: That sounds good to me. 

Alinivar: You think we can all fit?

Lucky: Of course. This baby was refurbished from an old tour bus, it can fit a whole clown car's worth of people.

Niiue: One step closer to our goal.

And so, Both the chosen four and the Applechasers got into the Runaway Five's Bus and hit the road to Youngtown, where they were going to continue the fight against Porky and his Pigmask army and stop them from taking over the world while Giegue would have to confront his sordid past when he, the rest of the Applechasers, and the Chosen four meet the original Chosen four, Ninten, Ana, Lloyd, and Teddy.
