Work Text:
She was obviously upset while talking to him about something, but he couldn't focus on what his mother was saying, he understood the words but all his energy could focus on was to avoid her gaze like a gulity dog. He tried to keep calm and give her his full attention but his legs started to feel wobbly. His gaze darted beetwen her leg, clothing pattern, hand, the drink in her hand, back to her legs then feet, the holes on her crocs. He tried to listen and preparing to look up into her eyes, while still thinking about the color tone of her footwear. He glanced up nervously, looking at her face, feeling his body getting warmer, hot from his forehead, legs started trembling again, and he muttered out: "sorry". But that didn't satisfy her. He thought about a lot of things while she kept getting angrier at him and raising her tone higher. He felt his vision getting blurry, he thought about God, and how much he waited, prayed to him to calm his mother down, or make her send him into his father's room already. He gulped, feeling his forehead getting hotter, and watched her hand move, seeing like an overlapping motion from how blurry his vision got by the tears. while she talked, he blurted out an another "sorry" beetwen his hiccups, breaking her sentence.
