Douman is someone pampered and loved

Summary:

Douman looks angrily at the cat, who took his appearance and becomes jealous and angry that Suzaku tells him "acchan to that stupid and manipulative cat "

Work Text:

Suzaku, the Vermilion God, protector of the South, never expected to see a cat transforming into someone who looked exactly like his lover.

The good(?) humanoid-cat pounced on him.

"Acchan, did you turn into a feline?" he asked carefully, but the cat seemed more focused on nibbling and licking his face.

"I didn't expect a cat to look exactly like Acchan," he thought while cooking something for his new guest.

Suzaku realized that this feline wasn’t his fiancé, but it had his face and looked just like Douman; clearly, he wasn’t going to kick it out.

"This is weird," exclaimed Douman, staring at the hybrid sitting on Suzaku’s lap.

"That’s enough," he said, getting up and trying to pull his boyfriend away from the cat, but all he got in return was a scratch on the hand.

"Acchan-nyan, don’t do that," said Suzaku, stroking the cat’s chin as it purred happily.

"Acchan!" Douman repeated. That was the last straw — how could the god dare call the cat the same name he always used for him? "Get out of my house!"

Suzaku was now on the ground outside, and quickly the humanoid-cat landed on top of him.

"Acchan!" Suzaku called out to his boyfriend, but he closed the door.

Douman took some drinks from the fridge.

"Acchan-nyan," he growled angrily. "I’m the only, the only Acchan for you," he huffed. "Why would you give the nickname you always use on me... to a cat?" He downed the drink in one go.

Douman pressed his lips together, staring at the closed door, while his fingers tapped impatiently on the table.

Finally, he leaned against the wall, his gaze distant, questioning his own feelings.

He was jealous of that cat.

Could that feline be a youkai who turned into him? What if it seduced Suzaku and that idiot actually preferred it?

With that thought, Douman hit his head against the wall.

"Acchan, hello," said the god as he came through the door — weird, he usually came through the window.

"Suzaku!" He hugged him, making them slam against the door. Suzaku noticed the smell of alcohol.

"Is Acchan drunk?"

Douman nodded. "I’m the only Acchan for you," he murmured.

"Yes, he is. Acchan is the only one." Suzaku’s cheeks were rosy, and his eyes were heart-shaped as he bathed Douman. "Acchan is the only one," he repeated while scrubbing him to wash off the smell of alcohol.

Douman let himself be pampered, purring on Suzaku’s neck as he buttoned his shirt.

"Hehehe, Acchan, that tickles," the god giggled.

Acchan is like a cat, the god thought, amused, but he would never, ever say it out loud — for his own safety. Douman would kill him.

The cat, now no longer humanoid, was running on all fours through the street.

"Sorry, but Acchan is the only one I want." That’s what the god had said. His transformation into Douman had done nothing; but no matter! He’d surely succeed next time! The god only had eyes for that foolish human! I’m better than him, no doubt!

"Aww, but you’re such a cute kitty," said Ranmaru with a mischievous smile.

The cat looked up and saw a human with wings.

A Karasu Tengu youkai? His face looked just like...

"I love you so much," he said tenderly. After saying that, he picked the cat up.

Don’t touch me, the cat growled internally, but Ranmaru only heard the meow — and a voice, as if someone was whispering in his ear.

Ranmaru’s adorable smile made the cat snuggle into his arms, pleased and happy.

His face looks exactly like that god’s, thought the cat.

"What’s your name?" Ranmaru asked.

"Acchan!!"

"My name’s Ranmaru." He’d never use that god’s name.

Also the name that beautiful human gave him is perfect.

"Acchan! The same thing happened with that crow," said Suzaku while giving Douman medicine for his hangover.

"Oh, that cute crow — I wonder what happened to him?"

"Acchan!" said Suzaku, hugging Douman. "Look at me."

"Why would I? And let go — I’ll spill the tea," Douman frowned. "At least I didn’t call him Suzaku!" he snapped, still annoyed.

"Acchan, forgive me — for me, there’s only one Acchan, and that’s you!!"

"Oh, yeah?" Douman replied. Suzaku was glad — at least he got Douman to look at him and blush.

Acchan is adorable!!

"Acchan is the only one." Suzaku kissed Douman on the cheek, who then slightly turned his head to offer the other cheek.

Suzaku kissed the other cheek. "Yes, he is. Acchan, I love you."

Douman placed his cup on the little table beside them.

"Acchan."

Slowly, Douman lay down on the couch.

"I’m the only one!!" he said, hugging Suzaku.

"You are!!"
