Starscream tried to escape the inquisitive gaze of the big fembot.
Soundwave, as usual, was busy with his reports, Skywarp and Thundercracker must have been with the rest of the Decepticon army discussing what trouble Starscream made this time to upset Megatron.
“Starscream...”
The aforementioned felt his gears stop for a nanosecond as he heard Megatron's voice, he knew what question the former gladiator would say, which made the seeker irritated.
“Who was that fembot?”
Starscream frowned as he remembered the disastrous reunion he had with Skyfire.
“I told you, she was my old lab partner and-”
“Don't lie to me!” Megatron's voice rose. "Tell me the truth Starscream! Before I shoot!"
The second in command raised his servos, in an attempt to calm his teacher, as he saw Megatron's cannon was poised to fire.
“Wait Megatron, I'm telling you the truth, Skyfire and I were lab partners at Iacon, we were best friends.” Starscream dodged the plasma shot, he grunted as he felt the irritating sensation of heat on his right wing, the shot grazed his sensitive wing. "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?"
Megatron rose from his throne, revealing his imposing chassis, his large black painted lips curved showing his dangerous fangs, his optics with a piercing gaze he observed his second in command, he knew that his acting only confused the seeker more, but he needed an answer without raising suspicion.
“There are reports that Skyfire was in favor of the Autobots, he joined them once she came out of her ice prison, but I found out that my second in command went to see her on the sly, you communicated with that shuttle behind my back and who knows why you did it, I want answer and to know why Skyfire is more important than...”
Starscream raised an eyebrow, Megatron bit down on his gloss as he realized his words.
Starscream closed his optics, he was not at all comfortable discussing these topics with anyone else, especially their annoying, but attractive leader.
“Skyfire was lost a long time ago, I no longer remember when Vorns have passed since I lost her, I missed her, I wanted to know if she was okay, I wanted to see her safe and sound, I wanted to see her one more time.” Starscream's voice was heard, distinct, soft, pleasant and.... Caring. Megatron clenched his teeth when he noticed Starscream's loving behavior towards this Skyfire, Starscream was supposed to behave like that with her, not with another one. "Skyfire means a lot to me."
“She means more to you than our cause?” Megatron approached dangerously to Starscream, who became uncomfortable when he noticed the closeness of both chassis. “I don't mean anything to you anymore Starscream?”
The discomfort turned into confusion, Starscream thought about what words to say, because he had a feeling that if he said something that would upset Megatron, he might end up in the medical wing for a long time.
"Megatron, you know I'm loyal to the cause, but I don't understand, after all the damage we've done to each other, why are you questioning me? Is it because of Skyfire?"
“Loyal to the cause, but not to me, your master.”
“You haven't answered my question. ”exclaimed the already irritated seeker. “Answer what your damn problem is, you old scrap.”
Megatron's servo grabbed Starscream's face, which forced him to keep his eyes on the great leader.
“I DON'T OWE YOU ANY ANSWERS! YOU BELONG TO ME AND I WON'T LET AN AUTOBOT TAKE YOU AWAY FROM M-”
The words stopped, Megatron watched the seeker, who had his optics on her, his expression showing what he feared.
He realized Megatron's feelings for him.
“Oh...”
The dynamic between the two could change, or so Megatron wanted to believe.
Starscream pulled the servo away from his face, Megatron watched as his second in command left the room, no argument, not even a snide remark, he left her alone.
Alone.
“Stupid Starscream.”
Starscream walked down the endless hallway of the Nemesis.
A strange feeling settled in his spark. It wasn't anger, it wasn't even fear, it was confusion, but it was different, it was confusion at this revelation, what this meant in the dynamic between him and Megatron.
Love?
Was it possible that Megatron felt this way about him?
Is Megatron really in love with him? Or is this a new twisted ploy to manipulate him?
Whatever it is, things would be very different from now on.
