“Hey Ino!” Sakura called out to her friend with a huge grin plastered across her face. She was wearing her lime green full sleeved shirt and her white jeans with a cute red headband and some pastel sandals but was wearing her huge maroon colored winter jacket on top. Ino couldn't help but smile back and waved, “Yo Sakura! Ready for our hangout?”
Ino was just wearing her loose brown full sleeved turtleneck and a pair of blue jeans and white shoes with her huge dark blue winter jacket on top. Since it was winter they both had the idea to wear some nice warm clothes until it was spring again which wasn’t in a few months. They both decided to have a hangout since there weren’t any upcoming missions for them and thought, why not go to Ichikaru ramen that is ironically Naruto’s favorite ramen restaurant?
“Of course! I’ve been bored all week! It’s nice to get out and get some fresh air!” she exclaimed happily, “So, should ve head off?”
Ino replied, “Of course!”
Both of them linked their arms together and began chatting all the way till they arrived at Ichiraku and settled down and ordered their usual meals. Ino sighed happily, hanging out with Sakura was a dream. She was perfect in any way, with her short cherry pink lockes cascading up to her shoulders with her beautiful emerald green eyes shining so bright, and her wide smile that shone so bright it could rival the sun’s brightness!
She couldn’t blame Naruto for falling in love with her!
Despite their constant bickering and nagging, oh and their infamous rivalry let’s not forget that, Ino still cherished Sakura just like she did ever since she met her on that day! She planned to confess to her some day when she no longer was a coward but only when she gathered the guts to do that then she would see.
Soon, their meals had been given and the two said, “Itadakimasu!” and immediately began chowing down their ramen noodles, channeling their hunger into every slurp.
While they ate, they also talked. Sakura initiated first, “So, anything new or exciting lately?” Ino shook her head and replied casually, “Nope! Same old same old! You?”
Sakura swallowed some miso soup and sighed, “No, just like you said. Everything is still the same!” Ino lamented, “I know right? And missions don’t count either.”
She slurped her noodles and said, “It’s like a daily routine for us at this point!”
“Indeed!” Ino bit into a pork in small nibbles and turned her head to continue or conversation with Sakura, initiating another question when she noticed the pinkette’s eyes wander to something, or rather someone!
“Sasuke-kun! He’s back!” whispered Sakura as her cheeks turned red and her eyes bright up at his appearance.
Ino’s eyes widened and her breath stopped, ‘Sasuke-kun is back…?’
Ino was shocked because why the hell is Sasuke suddenly back in Kohona all of a sudden?? Wasn’t he on his redemption journey or something? Why is he here?
She saw Sasuke’s eye widened slightly at Sakura and let out a small smile, and that was enough confirmation for Sakura to head over to him, abandoning her ramen. Ino watched her rush over to the ravenette and engulf him in a hug completely forgetting about her hangout with Ino.
And all Ino could do was grit her teeth, slam the money down, and leave, she also abandoned her ramen causing the ramen guy to call out for her in surprise but she could care less about that right now especially when she had paid for both her and Sakura’s meal.
And especially when she was engulfed in rage and jealousy towards Sasuke she wanted nothing more than to punch the guy’s face! Ironically Ino once had a huge infatuation with Sasuke himself just like every single girl did, and just like her best friend Sakura did.
But Ino knew better than to hang onto to that childish crush on a man who gave zero fucks about her so like the mature girl she was, she moved on. And seemingly so did every other girl, except for Sakura. No matter how much the man rejected her, even when he left the village, betrayed them, tried to kill them all including her for some reason, a reason Ino will never understand, Sakura still hanged onto Sasuke like a leech!
Ironically so did Naruto but he had his own good reasons, but Sakura…Ino knows she doesn’t stand a chance against the Uchiha for he had effortlessly captured Sakura’s heart with no effort whatsoever! And it pissed Ino off to no end because why does Sasuke get all of Sakura’s time, love, and care when all he did was hurt her endlessly?!
Why did Sakura have to fall in love with Sasuke?!
It just wasn’t fair! Ino would’ve done anything for Sakura, she loved Sakura no matter how much of a bitch she could be! She would’ve given Sakura all the love in the world, she would’ve supported her and given her lots and lots of encouragement!!
So why Sasuke…? Just why…?
Is it because she was a girl? If she were a man, would Sakura love her then?
No, that’s not it, she would never be Sakura’s type, for her love for Sasuke would never wither, no matter what happens.
And that’s what breaks Ino the most, she doesn’t where she is heading so she redirects her route and just stomps all the way to her house, slams the door loudly, and heads straight to her bed sobbing that the love of her life would never be her’s.
