Work Text:

‎Luke is extremely competitive, no matter what the topic is. Whether it's acting or games, he never likes to lose. But then...

‎"Come on, just give it up for your Nong here."

‎Luke watched as Mick said that coquettishly, smiling with crinkled eyes and those signature bunny teeth showing. Luke shook his head before giving in—changing his answer on purpose just to be wrong.

‎They were guesting on a show to promote their series Boys In Love, and right then, they were playing a game. Mick’s team was behind in points, and if Luke didn’t let it slide, they would have definitely lost. But Luke didn’t think twice—he just gave in to the younger's request.

‎He’s said it before... Mick doesn’t even need to beg. Whatever he asks, Luke is always ready to give. Mick never has to repeat himself—if he has a favor or a request, Luke will do it right away.

‎Like that time during a variety show taping when Mick casually muttered, "I’m craving milk tea..." without even looking at Luke. Ten minutes later, Luke had vanished from set.

‎Everyone thought he’d just stepped out to take a call—until he came back holding Mick’s exact order: matcha, 50% sugar, extra pearls. The staff burst into laughter, someone jokingly asked if Luke had Mick’s cravings memorized, and Luke just shrugged.

Isn't it obvious?

‎Then there was the time Mick had a cold but still insisted on attending dance practice for an upcoming event. Luke didn’t argue—not at first. He knew better than to try and stop Mick once he’d set his mind on something.

‎But halfway through the session, Luke quietly pulled Mick aside, handed him a towel and a warm water bottle, and said, "You’re sitting the next one out."

‎Mick opened his mouth to protest, but before a single syllable came out, Luke leaned in and whispered, "Don’t make me carry you home."

‎Mick huffed, lower lip jutting out in a pout Luke pretended not to love, and slumped onto the bench by the wall. He made a show of looking annoyed—arms crossed and his legs swinging—but the moment Luke sat beside him and gently draped the towel over his shoulders, Mick leaned into him without thinking.

‎Luke gently brushed Mick's hair and kissed the top of his head, whispering, "Sorry. I just care about you, Nong. I don’t want your sickness to get any worse."

‎Luke stayed beside him for the rest of the practice, always checking if he needed anything.

‎There was also the disagreement they had over a scene interpretation. Luke—normally unshakeable in his creative instincts—sighed once and gave in the moment Mick said, "I trust your vision, but can we try it my way just once?" They shot it Mick’s way. It made the final cut.

‎And during an interview, the host asked the classic question: "Who’s more likely to give in during an argument?"

‎Before either could speak, Mick leaned in, rested his head on Luke’s shoulder, and smiled like he already knew the answer.

‎Luke chuckled and said, "It’s me. Of course, it’s me. Just look at him."

‎Luke—stubborn, meticulous, and competitive with everything and everyone—softens instantly when it comes to Mick. His need to be right loses to his need to see Mick smile.

‎Luke folds. Every. Single. Damn. Time.
