Chapter Text

The day Chuuya Nakahara died was also the day a part of Dazai died. Only filling the empty void he always had with sorrow, guilt, and regret. The memories that he had shared with the man turned into a reminder of what he could've probably prevented, but he didn't. He watched him leave, and get himself killed. Oh, how it hurts now that Dazai learned how to visit the graveyard every now and then.

"Chuuya." He muttered his 'friend's' name like a tender song, staring at his grave; his expression etched in grief.
"I learned how to love again, but it wouldn't be the person you'd expect," Dazai spoke, now sitting on the green grass, right beside the tombstone.

"But technically, I didn't just learned to love—I only realized it was." Dazai now muttered lowly, his voice aching trying to prevent a tear from dropping.

"It's just someone I really hate with my life, but also trust with my life—I guess you were indeed right, I might have been an obsessive teen for that slug." He spoke, as his gaze fixated on the skies and clouds.

"But, I can't even properly tell you how much I loved you, Chuuya," Dazai added, not noticing the tears that dropped like raindrops.

"I'm sorry, Chuuya." He muttered in a low, hushed voice, breaking his tranquil demeanor, as he stood up, wiping away his tears.

"Dazai-san?" A voice called out to him—a familiar one.

"Yes?" Dazai responded, regaining his usual composure of being an asshole.

"Uh... Sir Fukuzawa is calling you to his office, he said he needs to talk to you." Atsushi replied calmly, tilting his head as he slightly observed Dazai more than usual. Something about him wasn't right until he looked at the tombstone—Chuuya Nakahara, the gravity manipulator who succumbed to his ability.
He heard Dazai-san was close to Chuuya, even a rumor has it, in the Port Mafia, Dazai liked Chuuya romantically.

"...Nevermind, take your time Dazai-san," Atsushi muttered, turning around, and was about to leave.

"No, no, I'm coming, I'm just taking a visit here." Dazai suddenly spoke, approaching Atsushi. Meanwhile, the weretiger nodded quietly and began walking side by side.

The two reached the Agency, expecting nothing special, but to their surprise—the office was turned into a battlefield. Yosano is healing Tanizaki, and Kunikida is trying to defend himself from someone—someone very akin to a certain ability user. That person could even be his doppelganger, the only difference being that the man wore more red than he was known for—How is Chuuya Nakahara alive? But most importantly, why was he attacking? Dazai's mind raced as he simply stood there and watched, frozen in place. Maybe it was an ability, an illusion on why he's alive? No, that can't be it—That Chuuya he sees before his eyes is real, very real. Meanwhile, Chuuya whom knocked out Kunikida, swiftly turned around seeing that son of a bitch of a bastard standing on the doorway.

"...You bastard." He muttered lowly his voice filled with anger.

"Chuuya..?" Dazai replied, looking at him, still not believing what he was seeing at the moment, chibi alive? That itself made him smile, but that smile faltered as he realized that Chuuya looked prepared, for something...

"DAZAI! WATCH OU—" Yosano shouted, but was interrupted by the ginger throwing a sharp pencil at her with his ability, lightly scratching her cheek.

"Girl, shut the fuck up don't get in my way," Chuuya spoke, his voice cold as ice, sending shivers down Dazai's and Yosano's spine. As he slowly approached the bandaged man. Atsushi, like he would do, prepared to fight, but Dazai stopped him, only saying one word, "Don't." Atsushi, obedient as a dog (despite being a cat), obeyed Dazai, hoping that he'd fixed this, and was forced to watch him approach the maddened ginger.

As the two men approach each other, Atsushi and the others could only watch; they knew Dazai wouldn't want them to be hurt, nor intervene with this. One was filled with grief, the other twisted in anger—what could go wrong?
