Summary:

Saw a prompt that was "How would other characters describe this character?" (https://www.tumblr.com/powered-by-imagination/787503751415103488/character-question-of-the-day-67) and got inspired to write a paragraph for each one, almost as if they're being interviewed about their thoughts on each other.

Kept separate from the miscellaneous writing dump set in case I choose to do it for more characters.

Work Text:

“The lass can be a bit of work sometimes.” Anabel answered, leaning back in her seat and letting out a breath that blew her messy pink bangs up a bit, “She almost gave me a heart attack back when we met; considering how badly bodged her bike’s booster was. But nowadays, ah consider her a close acquaintance. The publicity she brings to my workshop is part of that ah’ll admit, but there’s gotta be something else about her that makes meh take time off work with her and the others; and ah don’t think its because we’re both friends with Amanda?”

“She’s become one of my best friends over the years.” Brandon said with a confident smile, “Me and Malcom already worked well together, and she slotted into our team like a glove. She can be a menace sometimes, but I honestly kinda love that about her.” He made a small chuckle, “Makes the three of us kinda like a family sometimes, the two husbands and their chaotic ally.” He couldn’t help but laugh a bit.

The tiniest hint of a smile crossed Charlotte’s face in response to the question, with her taking a sip of her coffee. “Knuxina can be an absolute pain in the ass sometimes, but she’s a great friend at the end of the day.” She answered, setting her mug back down, “She’s loyal, and I value that about her, even if I don’t agree with what she, Brandon and Malcom do to make a living. Though, I do wish she’d take better care of herself, she’s stubborn to an alarming fault…”

Despite her emotionless status, it almost looked like GENESIS managed to frown in response, “Subject Gemini is an impossible anomaly.” The android responded, “No fully organic organism should be able to accomplish what she has done. Yet she continues to function, despite the world’s efforts to wear her down…”

A simple “Hrmph…” escaped from Glitchina, as the AI folded her arms, her wings folding inwards. “She is the reason for my continued existence. An impossibility, bolstered by Destiny’s gift. And yet… I can’t help but feel a sense of… Respect. She is the only one truly able to match my level of destructive potential. Which will make the day where I finally kill her all the more satisfying, especially because it will finally mark the day I can destroy myself…”

Jake put his hands together under his chin, his elbows resting on the table, “I don’t know what to think of Ms. Gemini. I wouldn’t consider her to be anything special; IF I hadn’t witnessed her doppelgänger first hand.” He said, “The way she leapt straight in to protect me and the other girl was surprising, if a little shocking. And yet…” He sighed a bit, “I can’t help but wonder if she’s indirectly cursed us all…”

Katie’s knuckle whitened a bit in response to the question, a hint of barely restrained anger flashing over her face. “She ruined everything I worked toward.” She spat, “She bested GENESIS, what was supposed to be my magnum opus… She cost me my good graces with Zoey,  caused me to lose everything… I hate that girl, and one day… One day… I’ll get her…” She growled, “I’ll get her, dissect her and see exactly what makes her such a science defying freak of nature…”

“I’m proud of her.” Kingsley answered, “She may not have followed the path of her old man, but she made a name for herself out there. She’s done some bad things I will admit, but she’s still my daughter; and she’s saved the world, twice. Of course I can’t help but be proud of her after that.”

“I always looked up to her.” Knuxy smiled, “Despite there only being a three year gap between us, she’s my big sister, and the coolest person I’ve ever known.” He said, “I know that she sometimes feels the need to put on a brave face, but I can’t help but love the softer side I know she can display sometimes. And thanks to all the friends she made in the city, I met the love of my life.” He happily sighed, looking at the ring on his finger with a sense of pride.

“Knuxina Gemini is a destructive criminal.” Lindsay answered with a deep frown, “And yet, so many people come to her defense despite being fully aware of that fact.” She said, an obvious tone of frustration present in her voice, “I don’t get how she managed to manipulate so many into believing that she is some heroic force. One day, I’ll be able to put her away for good, and Eclipse City will be better off for it…”

The alien’s expression was hard to judge, what with her lack of a mouth and almost permanently narrowed eyes. “The Wildcard is… Intriguing.” Luna eventually admitted, “In the thousand years I’ve been on this planet, watching your species evolve, none have reached the level of potential that she displays. And yet, despite that potential, she displays the same level of emotions as the rest of you, and is willing to hold herself back in all but the most dire of circumstances… I fail to understand why she squanders her potential like that…”

“I wasn’t sure about her at first.” Malcom said, “Back then, she was just a friend of Brandon’s, we didn’t even know she had a criminal record until she got caught, and he decided that we should pay her bail and recruit her.” He said, leaning back in his seat and folding his arms, “But she proved herself, she filled in the gaps in our cooperation, and I think me and him became closer because of her.” He admitted with a smile, “At this point, I think I can say that I trust Knuxina with my life.”

"Knuxina's my homie dawg." Mandy said with a flick of her wrist and an enthusiastic grin, "She gets shit done, doesn't shy away from anything that challenges her. Total. Girlboss." She put her hands behind her head and her feet up on the table, despite the protests, "The Webs were ride or die, and I know she can rock that motto too."

“She seems, like, super cool!” Nikki answered, “I, like, rilly wanna meet her some day! But Rel’s always suuuuuper busy, and I don’t think she’s too hot on Knuckina, dunno why.” The catgirl shrugged, seemingly about to continue speaking before getting distracted by a loose thread of carpet.

“Gemini… Frustrates me.” Phara admitted after a pause, her usual unimpressed frown on her face as she finally looked away from the roof, “Her presence doesn’t irritate me like Restic’s does, but I still find myself questioning why Woodall decided to partner up with such… Annoyingly peppy fools.” She sighed, “But it seems to be working out for them, and she at least looks to respect my boys’ work.”

“I’d like her more if she’d gone with the winning team.” Raine said with a slight hum, “She’s got style and guts, I mean considering she goes up against Zenni all the time, but she went with Anabel of all people? Even after Zenni offered her my services? That’s just… SO lame!” Raine rolled their eyes a bit, “I can’t wait to see the day she gets humbled honestly, not violently of course! I just wanna see Zenni leave her in the dust, thanks to me.”

“I don’t have much knowledge of Ms. Gemini I’ll be perfectly honest.” Randa admitted, “I only really knew her in passing back when she was child, she was… Loud, but she at least didn’t get in the way whenever I’d make a delivery to Crescentfall, so there’s that. From what I understand, she lives a hectic life, and that is not something I would want any part of.”

“She’s a Gemini.” Rel said with an air of annoyance, “I was biased against her even before the near world ending incidents she was a part of.” She sighed, “Things were so simple a few years back, and now we’re dealing with rogue robots, attempted uprisings and everything in-between, all of which go back to her. With all of that, and the fact that I already dislike the inefficiency of her bloodline’s work ethic, can you really blame me for wanting nothing to do with her?”

A smile crossed Samantha’s lips in response to the question, with her giving a nod and a wave of her hand before writing into her notebook, resting open on the table. “She’s someone I know I can depend on, one of the few people I know that I can TRUST.” She wrote, “And I respect her drive. Once she’s decided to do something, she’s seeing it through to the end. That’s dedication that I can get behind.” She lazily dropped her pen before reclining in her seat again.

“She’s my daughter, and I’ve never been as proud of someone as I have of her.” Tabitha answered, “In a way, Knuxina did what I did, she spread her wings and found where she belonged, doing what she knew was right for her. And I’m thankful that she hasn’t forgotten us, that she still believed in our trust enough to come back to us when she needed our aid.”

Terra twirled a lock of her hair around her finger, biting her lip slightly. “I was scared of her at first.” She admitted, “Considering how much she looks like Glitchina… But she’s the reason I’m still alive. She saved me that day, and has been by my side ever since; it might have been guilt at first, but… Eventually that changed.”
She managed a smile, her hand leaving her hair and resting on the table. “She introduced me to the others, and they’ve all become the most important people in my life in one way or another. And now… Well, I guess she’s my sister in law at this point.” She looked at the ring on her finger, her smile growing as she did.

“She utterly infuriates me.” Vanessa said, “That girl has so much potential, she could claim so much power. But she just doesn’t, she just doesn’t have any ambition. She waits for things to come to her, or for someone to sic her on their enemies, rather than going out and seeking ways to grab the bull of glory by the horns.” They sighed a bit, folding their arms in frustration as they muttered under their breath, “Hrmph. Ella es una idiota.”

“We have a complicated relationship.” Zenni answered, one leg crossed over the other as she lent dangerously far back in her seat, “On the track, we have this fierce rivalry, considering she did kinda steal my whole thing of being the best racer in the country; that’s what the public see, although a bit more toned down in some ways, exaggerated in others.” She shrugged a bit, “But outta the races? I respect her, she’s a great challenge, and she’s making me work harder. I’ll beat her one day, just you wait.” She added with a smirk.

“That valley girl has gotten in my way more times than I can count…” Zoey said, elbows rested on the table and her hands underneath her chin, “No matter what adjustments I make, no matter what backup plans I prepare. She breaks each and every one of them.” She briefly closed her eyes, taking a breath, “It took me a while to understand it, but it eventually clicked. She’s an agent of chaos; by its very nature, you cannot plan for chaos. Yet it doesn’t stop me from trying, eventually the chaos becomes a constant, and a constant CAN be planned around. Her days are limited, I will make sure of it…”

Knuxina herself stayed quiet for awhile before finally answering, “There are points where I wonder sometimes how things would be without me. If I never existed.” She said, a hint of melancholy to her tone as she looked down at the table, at her folded hands, “Ace wouldn’t exist if I didn’t, so the Colony Incident wouldn’t have happened, but I don’t think that’d stop anything else. Luna was here long before I was, Zoey and Katie would make GENESIS regardless of me being around. And I don’t know how the others would be without me in their lives.” She looked back up, a small smile on her face, “I’m glad I’m here, and I’m glad I have them; friends, rivals, even enemies.”
“They’re what make my life worth it.”
