Unfinished Oneshots (Annyeongz mostly)

Summary:

I have a LOT of unfinished drafts (some are barely drafts, rather ideas) for oneshots. So instead of letting them collect dust, I’ve decided just to put them out there.

If you find any interesting, please let me know in the comments to motivate me to finish them!!

Notes:

Happy pride month😛

Expect MANY errors because they’re just drafts.

Chapter 1: Marriage Isn't Something to Joke About

Summary:

Minju and Chaewon are throwing an engagement party, inviting many friends, both close and less close. Their good friend Yujin, and Minju’s workmate Wonyoung, seem to be hiding something though.

Notes:

I was kind of confused where I was going with this. It was really messy, so idk if I’ll pick it back up.

Chapter Text

Chaewon likes parties. Minju likes what Chaewon likes. So, they throw a party.

A party to celebrate one of the biggest milestones of their lives. Marriage was always set in stone for them. The moment they started dating in senior year of high school, it seemed they both mutually agreed that sometime in the future they would make it official-official. They would get married.

What better way to celebrate the time they had been so patiently awaiting, than with a big ass party. All of their closest friends and even friends who they weren't the closest with would be invited. And to relive their youth (as marriage always seemed like an old person concept) their parents wouldn't be coming. Call them immature, but you can't blame them for wanting to feel young again. Not that they're old.

"You guys really went all out on this party." Ryujin said, her jaw agape, as she wandered through the decorated house in amazement. Her eyes twinkled, partially from her fascination and partially from all light that reflected off all the shiny things. Their house was closer to a mansion than a humble flat. Shiny marble and golden coloured decorations occupied every surface.

Minju took the celebration to brag about all their beautiful and extremely expensive furniture. Besides it wasn't as though anything tragic would happen, to the point something would break. Everyone invited were adults after all.

Ryujin, Yeji and Lia had arrived a few hours before the allocated time, as they were the party planners of the group. Ryujin and Lia liked throwing parties, so one could say they were experienced. And Yeji was just good at planning things out.

They finished an hour before the guests were planned to arrived, so they chatted on the big couches of the movie room.

"Imagine getting married." Lia teased as she plopped back down on the couch, now with a bowl of chips in hand. Yeji reached for one, but was suddenly slapped away by a very defensive Lia.

"You're so immature, this is why you're not married." Chaewon snapped back, but it was obvious she was just kidding as well. Lia put a hand on her chest, clutching her pearls, with false offence. She scoffed before she stuffed another handful of chips into her mouth.

"Us three are very happy with our not-engaged statuses." Ryujin added, sneakily snaking an arm around Yeji's shoulders.

"You have a not-engaged status because you've been married, asshole." Minju smacked the back of her friend's head as she passed her. Yeji scowled, mumbling something along the lines of "don't hit her".

"Well I'm single and happy." Lia suddenly defended, feeling singled out for being the only one nowhere close to being married, let alone in a relationship. "I bet $30 that Yujin and Yena are both single too."

"How immat-" Chaewon started to say again before Ryujin interrupted.

"I bet your ass their in relationship ships Choi!" Ryujin yelled out, standing up and slamming the table in one swift motion.

Yeji looked up at Ryujin in disbelief, as she shook her head with disapproval. "We need to work on your betting issue... Oh, speak of the devil."

"And she may appear." Yena finished the saying, walking in. Lia had a twinkle in her eye, seeing that the girl was alone. Ryujin, on the other hand, had regret swirling in the pit of her stomach. That was until Yena fully stepped into the room, with her arm occupied with another.

She wasn't alone.

"Shut up." Lia spat, placing $30 into the open palm of Ryujin. The rest of the girls payed no mind to the deal, and instead focused on the couple making their way.

Yena sat down into the free couch, dragging her partner to sit next to her. "This is Yuri, Yuri this is Ryujin, Yeji, Lia, Minju and Chaewon." As she said each of their names she pointed to the face respectively, and Yuri was just about caught up with everyone.

"OH! You two are the ones getting married, right? Congratulations." Yuri kindly smiled at the couple, who were smiling back. Yuri seemed nice. A great addition to the group. They all wondered why she would decide to date Yena, of all the people in the world.

Yeji was about to say something, probably an icebreaker question like where she's from, what she does or what was her opinion on the political-economic state of the world. But she was rudely interrupted by the front door slamming open, and an equally loud voice booming through the house. "What is up party people!"

Yuri looked very concerned and confused, mostly scared though. She looked to Yena for confirmation that they weren't being robbed. "And that's An Yujin." Yena sighed, turning her body to the door of the movie room. If she had a penny every time Yujin entered that way, she would probably have 20 pennies.

"How do we like my outfit?" Typical of Yujin to make sure she looks good before interacting with anyone else. They all knew she loved them very dearly, it just happened that she loved herself that much more. As she walked in, she had a little strut in her movement. She was wearing a black top that was cropped to right below her belly button. It was sleeveless, and would've definitely caused her friends to tease her. But its scandalousness was canceled out by the ankle-length skirt she had on. She had cut her bangs for the occasion, as they always said they liked her with bangs, and her hair was slightly ragged.

"Very nice, Yujinnie." Yeji said, two thumbs up for effect. That seemed to be a satisfactory answer for Yujin, as she stopped with her little fashion show and happily made her way over to the couple. She wrapped her arms around Minju and Chaewon and squeezed tight. Chaewon shivered when a cold piece of metal on Yujin's hand grazed her also exposed shoulder.

"AGH! I am so happy for you two!" She exclaimed, but it came out muffled as her cheeks were squished. She had placed her head in between the two Kim's, making her look like a pufferfish.

"Are they just going to let her do that?" Yuri asked, but it wasn't with the intention of judgement towards her behaviour. She just had never seen anyone have so much patience. Even with kids, she can't help but be restless. So having a taller than average woman squish you must be exhausting.

Yena shrugged, indifferent to Yujin's overwhelming PDA. "She's the youngest, so her smothering is normal." She looked back to Yujin's direction, only to smile at the girl's antics. She was holding Chaewon's hand in her right and Minju's hand in her left, comparing their rings. The two shared a judgmental look, like mothers who were being bothered by their 5 year old. "We treat her like a baby, and it seems like she's really taken up that role."

"When is the party going to start, I need to plan when I'm going to leave." Yujin explained, squeezing her friend's hands to punctuate her question. The two sighed, Chaewon rolled her eyes, while Minju concentrated on the question at hand.

"It starts soon, and it'll probably die down by 8:30." Minju explained, pulling the younger down to sit in between her and Chaewon. Chaewon wasn't the happiest at the lesbian prevention pillow (Yujin) that was now separating them. "Please don't sleep later than 10pm, we're taking you out for breakfast tomorrow."

"Really?" Chaewon and Yujin questioned together, staring at each other for reassurance. Neither of them questioned further when the door swung open and another loud voice echoed through the house.

"And there are the guests." Minju coughed as she stood up and headed towards the front door. She waved a hand, motioning for Chaewon to follow closely behind. Which the girl did, as she really just did everything Minju asked of her.

"MINJU? CHAEWON? THE PARTY HAS ARRIVED!" Yelled out the voice, which was a lot deeper than anticipated. A man walked through the front door with a group of other guys following closely behind. It was Lee Know and co.

"Minho! Great to see you!" Minju exclaimed as she basically rushed into the dude, knocking him back a bit. Chaewon stood behind, an embarrassed smile on her face. Lee Know looked at her in recognition, and Chaewon just mouthed a sorry back. Minju stepped back, spreading her arms to welcome her guests. "Come right in!"

"Chris, please don't tell me there is a body in that duffle bag." Chaewon frowned as the guy pulled in a big grey bag that was dragging on the floor.

Bang Chan rolled his eyes and continued to pull the bag through the entrance, "Nope, just a massive speaker and karaoke set."

Lia and Ryujin joined the two girls in welcoming everyone as they noticed they were preoccupied. Ryujin looked past Changbin and Jeongin to find two others waiting to get through.

Lia finally got past Jeongin, and she wore a confused smile as she says: "Oh? Hyunjin I didn't see you there!"

Hyunjin eyes widened with confusion, "How? I'm the tallest out of all of us." He genuinely asked.

"No, not you Boy Hyunjin." Ryujin clarified as she directed a pointed look behind him, "She meant Girl Hyunjin."

Hyunjin's eyes widened more, somehow and he turns around to find Hyunjin standing basically right behind him."MY CLONE IS HERE?"

"Not your clone asswad." Hyunjin makes a point of this by flicking his forehead. The two start bickering, blocking the doorway from anyone wanting to enter of exit.

"Wonyoung! Nice to see you again!" Chaewon interrupted the two Hyunjin's, in favour of welcoming the incoming guests again. She held out her hand, which Wonyoung hesitantly took, and pulled the taller girl into a hug, "I'm so glad you could make it."

Wonyoung huffed, half of it in a laughing way and the other part in a "I can't breathe" way. When Chaewon let her go, Wonyoung placed a hand behind her own neck in a nervous way. "Honestly, I kind of feel like I'm intruding... You said this party was for close friends."

Chaewon's eyes widened with sympathy, she suddenly felt like she has the need to explain,"You are a close friend, don't worry." She reassured the younger girl.

Wonyoung looked down for a moment and up again, a wide smile on her face. "Thank you again, for inviting me I mean." She politely squeezed past Chaewon and when she looked into the rest of the house, a familiar face came into view. "Yujin?"

"Wonyoung?" Yujin questioned aloud after hearing the familiar voice. She turned to the direction she thought she heard her name be called, and behold, a Jang Wonyoung was walking towards her. "WONYOUNG! Omg I didn't know you were coming, I am so sorry! I would've driven you if I knew."

"I mean, I did say I was going to a coworker's engagement party today." Wonyoung clarified as she nudged the older girl with her shoulder. While the whole conversation goes down, Yena, Lia and Ryujin all watched the two interact. Ryujin and Lia exchanged a weary glance. Ryujin was skeptical about whether the two were dating or not, and Lia was skeptical about whether she was about to lose another $30 or not.

Yujin's face scrunched up as she processed what the younger girl just said. "Okay, way to make me seem like the forgetful one." She shook her head as she took Wonyoung's hand and led her to the main room where the party would be taking place.

"You are the forgetful one." Wonyoung once again countered as she squeezed Yujin's hand, a piece of metal wrapped around her finger causing goosebumps to rise. "I'm the one who makes sure you don't forget. Come on, Yujin, we established this."

"Soooo... are you going to give me that second $30 or what?" Ryujin asked in a smug way as she made her way to Lia. Lia shook her head firmly and did not move her hands to fish out money from her wallet. Ryujin frowned as she realised she wasn't getting her money.

"Yujin didn't say anything yet, just because they seem like they're dating doesn't mean they are."

"Yujin, can you get me a drink, please?" Wonyoung asked as she settled deeper into the massive couch. Yujin got up immediately, taking the others by surprise.

"Pink lemonade?"

"You know it." Wonyoung chirped as she directed her attention back to the amazing karaoke duet that is being performed. Yujin happily made her way to the kitchen, only to find Chaewon and Minju already there with an expectant look on their faces.

"So, how do you know Wonyoung?"

"Oh! Didn't I tell you guys yet... damn I really am the forgetful one."

"Get to the point Yuj."

"Right. We-"

Yujin held her arm out, reaching for Wonyoung's hair. She swiftly ran her fingers through it, adjusting its position. This caught the attention of the girl, who went almost rigid. Yujin smiled slightly at this, finding it quite cute. Wonyoung turned around and once she registered who just touched her, her shoulders released from their raised position. "Yujin, you scared me."

"YOU TWO ARE MARRIED?"

"yeah."

"AND YOU DIDNT TELL US?"

"I guess not." "But it's not that big of a deal, we eloped like a week ago."

"I actually haven't told any of my friend yet, if that makes you feel any better."

"It does, actually."

"NO! How long have you two been dating and why haven't we known about this!"

"I told you I was seeing someone."

"Okay?..."

"It was Wonyoung."

"So I really am the only single person in the group."

"Okay, we aren't actually married."

"WHAT!"

"HUH?"

"But we are dating... soooo, double surprise?"

"Still the most single person in our friend group."

"You should've see the look on your faces."

"Why didn't you tell us?"

"Because we didn't want to overshadow your big party."

"We could've done like a double celebration or something!"

"We just didn't want to steal your deserved spotlight." "You've been waiting for this since high school, we've been dating for two months."

"You know what? I actually remember having the conversation where Yujin revealed she was dating someone."

"Give me those thirty dollars Lia."
