Work Text:
They’re exhausted, tired beyond words. Orym’s entire body aches, but he still has enough energy to clutch onto Dorian’s hand and keep him close.
Dorian leans against him, using his blade to help keep himself up without putting too much of his weight on Orym himself. He breathes heavily, eyes closed. Orym is careful as he presses himself close into Dorian’s body, wrapping his arm around the bard’s waist to hold him tight.
“Dorian.” Orym mutters, trying to get his attention. “Hey.”
Dorian’s eyes open, bright blue meeting Orym’s gaze as a slow smile spreads across his face. “Hey,” he returns, a quiet and breathless chuckle leaving him.
Orym flashes him a grin as Dorian leans down, bumping their foreheads together. “I really want to kiss you right now.”
Another breathless laugh leaves Dorian as he leans in, pressing his mouth against Orym’s in a slow, passionate kiss.
After all the battles they’ve faced, after nearly losing each other and their friends, they’ve saved the world. They’re alive, and the world is safe, and Orym is kissing Dorian as if it might still be their very last.
