Chapter Text
Some people are morning people. Natalie Scatorccio is not. In fact, when the sun hits her eyes through the short, broken window in the room, she winces. As she pulls the covers over her head she groans unconsciously, trying her best not to make too loud of a noise. She’ll be forced out of bed the moment she speaks too loud. Her walls are too thin, half the things in her room are too dirty, and too many clothes are strewn about the room. She’ll have to clean today. She let out a louder groan, earning a reprimand from her mother in the other room. Fine, she thought. She’ll get up. As she pulls the blanket back below her chest, a small twinge in her heart tells her to look to the right. Photos of her soccer team fill the small cork board in her room, and she cant help but stare at the dark hair of her favorite player. At least she would get to see Lottie today.
Lottie was slightly more of a morning person, though not by much. Her room was large, lonely, empty. All negative descriptors, aside from “lavish”. Her room was not her favorite place in any way. It was so, so boring. She had woken up early, as usual, but by the time she stopped staring at the ceiling it was a pretty regular time. Her silky covers and nightgown felt like molasses, drowning her in gross comfort. It took a lot of effort to get up. Dragging on her expensive slippers, she hesitated to move further. She checked her phone, only having about 30 minutes to get ready. That was doable. As she entered her password, she waited excitedly for the next screen. A photo of her soccer team was waiting for her, and with it came a treat. she stood up and stretched, suddenly excited. Today, she would see Natalie.
