*after Roman left in putting others first/ S V. S Redux*
Roman left the living room devastated, could it really be he wasn't Thomas's hero anymore?...did Thomas..did Patton really take Deceit's side over his? after frowning on him for taking Dee's side in the past?! it wasn't fair! wasn't right!...but apart of Roman couldn't fully blame them,
he hadn't been the best hero lately. and as much as it hurt, a part of him already knew Thomas didn't view him as highly anymore.
Roman went to the kitchen for a some water to help clear his head. and there on the kitchen counter sat the minds favorite emo, Virgil.
Virge looked at the Prince, both surprised to see the other. "hey...Princey.." he said a bit awkwardly, looking at Roman he could easily read his face, although Roman
wasn't really attempting to hide his sadness. "h-hello Virgil"
Virgil was tempted to ask straight up what the hell happened but decided that probably wouldn't be the best idea, so he came up with
something else "you busy dude?" he asked "no...?" Roman replied, slightly confused on where this was going.
Virgil hopped off the counter and looked down at the shorted side "wanna hang out?" Princey was a bit surprised, the two of them
don't typically hang out one on one...but despite him being a bit nervous about it he really didn't want to be alone "sure"
the two sides headed to Patton's living room, a calming spot in the mind that although is called Patton's is more of a mutual spot for them all. the two sat on the couch
"uh..wanna play a video game? not much out here but um...theres..frogger i guess?" Roman had that look on his face that made it clear Virgil said something wrong
"O-OR NOT!...uhh...movie?" Roman sighed and nodded his head, it was a simple response, and any other side it'd be normal, but Roman loves his own voice and yaps as much as possible to hear it.
"Disney?" another silent nod that made Virgil's anxeity spike a bit
"what one do you want to watch?" "any's fine" Roman said back in a distant tone
Virgil grabbed the remote...despite him not being that into it he new what movie would make Princey feel at least a bit better. Virgil put on Cinderella.
Romans eyes did light up a bit as it started, as sad as he was this movie did usually made him feel better. it was beatiful yet simple.
clear bad guys..clear good guys...a dashing prince..true love, it had it all!. he remembers when he first saw this movie, him and Remus were new..maybe a week or so old. back then Patton made them both do these "goodness lessons" and this is one of the movies he showed...of course it only made Remus want to dress up like that darn cat for Halloween and hunt mice, but for roman it became a comfort. now though...although still a lovly movie! he feels a bit empty watching it.
after watching for a while virgil could tell roman was still upset. he was sure this would help but it didn't at least not by much.
"princey..." he attempted to say softly "..what" Roman mumbled out. Virgil paused the movie, turning to roman "i didn't want to push but i can tell you're really upset. so uhm...wanted to let you know that if you felt comfortable, you can talk to me..ok?"
Roman thought for a moment before deciding to tell virgil the events that happened earlier that night. Vi knew that Ro defitnly wasn't 100% right in this, but Pat has been extra confusing since Dukey has shown back up. additionally, Virgil knows how Janus is, and he's seen first hand how he had been effecting princey in the other videos he'd been in. and although Virgil is usually one of the first to comment on Romans behavior he was very sure that Roamn either had or will hear about it later. besides it's clear Princey needs some love right now not a lecture. "come here" the taller figure said in a low mumbley tone with his arms opening wide.
the prince was a bit shocked since he knew virgil wasn't much of a hugger but he also could use one right now so he leaned in
"thanks..." Roman muttered as awkard arms went around him. rubbing circles on his back in attempts to be comforting.
"uhh...don't mention it dude" Vi said back in a soft tone, or as soft as he could get it.
Roman couldn't help the silent tears that came out of him, he just hoped virge wouldn't say anything.
and luckily he didn't.
as Virgil felt the tears leak into his shirt his heart couldn't help but break a bit, he'd hadn't seen Roman this vulnerable before and it
made his heart sting and his stomach twist. it was such an odd feeling. why just a few years ago him and...the dark sides...joked about bringing Roman too tears all time, but now that he new Roman better and more and more the two grew closer
it just hurt to see him like this.
before he could think more though Roman pulled away from his chest and whiped his eyes as he took a deep breath.
Princey broke the silence, speaking in slightly shaky voice that despite trying to cover it up showed how upset he still was "apologies for all that Virgil". Virgil sat there for a moment looking at his teary eyed friend before replying
"don't apologize! y-you didn't do anything wrong" Roman simply sighed in response, he wanted to say somthing back but couldn't find the words and the tightness in his throat didn't make him want to look. Virge sat close to him "hey man, it's late why don't you head to bed?" Roman looked at the floor
"probably should but i don't want to be alone at the moment" Virge gave Ro a sympathetic look "we could uhh..have a sleep over here in the living room" Princey smiled, quite enjoying that idea. "yeah that um..that sounds nice". Virgil got up from the couch "guess i should grab some sleeping stuff th-" before he could finish Roman stood up and loudly talked over him "I GOT IT!" before the emo could even ask, Ro thought up a bunch of blankets and pillows and even a few random plushies that landed all over the floor.
Vi sighed "Princey" Roman chuckled awkardly before saying "sorry got a bit excited" Virgil sighed and and smirked slightly "good to see you in better sprits Princey. but what the hell are we going to do with this many blankets and pilows?" "blanket fort..?" Roman said a bit shyly not knowing if Virgil would make fun of him for the suggestion.
"why not" Vi said to Princey's surprise.
the two spent a half hour making the fort and once it was completed they crawled inside it
"oh this is cool as hell" Virgil said rather please with their work. "YUP! just missing one thing".
Virge raised an eyebrow at Roman's comment "what could it be missing?" Princey giggled at the qustion before snapping his fingers and
changing their outfits "ONESIES!"
Vi looked down to see himself in a skeleton onesie and looking back to Roman to see him in a beast from beauty and the beast onesie.
he sighed "oh my gosh you dork" "what you don't like it?" Roman asked and Virge laughed a bit before replying "no no i like it! i just wasn't expexting it..." he sighed before speaking again "now come on Princey it's like super late so lets try and get some rest"
Virgil curled under some blankets and Roman did as well after a moment.
"hey Virge" "what?" "thanks again" "...anytime Roman"
