Since some time, he started to sing the children songs to sleep. It was mostly lullabies he learnt from his original world or from here.
Today, singing one would be really good, he needed to calm them down.
What a pity that his family isn't here, it would help to calm them.
“You are my sunshine..”
The kittens ears perked.
Raon and the kittens were and always are going to be his sunshines. They are the ones who illuminated his world, how couldn’t they be?
“My only sunshine…”- They all were his sunshines.
‘Ah…’-Now that he thought.-’ Lock, the wolf and tiger children, Eden…they may feel left out, right?’- He hopes that doesn't happen.
Two voices -On and Hong- joined in the singing.
“You make me happy, when the skies are gray.” -Yes, that happy personality of all of the children definitely made his mood better many times. Their happy laugh always made him remember why he did all of this.
“You'll never know, dear, how much I love you”- Raon joined in the singing, with tears in his eyes. ‘No’ -He is making the children cry, On and Hong sobbing at the side of Raon.
He truly is a monster.
How could he make children, his children be like this?
“Please don't take my sunshine away”- He wiped the tears off the face of the great and mighty dragon, then from On and Hong.
“The other night, dear, as I laid sleeping”- They all still slept with him, it would be hard for them to get used to sleeping alone, but his family would help, he is sure.
“I dreamed I held you in my arms”- The day he rescued Raon, he was in his arms.
The first time he was out and saw the sky, his child was in his arms.
The first time On and Hong saw the Henituse manor, the day they arrived, they were in his arms.
He would miss holding them and for how they are looking at him, they would miss that too.
“When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken”- Hong stopped singing, starting to rub his face in Cale’s bloodied shoulders. -‘He is dirtying his face with blood.’- He would continue to hold them, to encourage them, to see their smiles, the only thing he needed to do was continue living.
“So I hung my head and cried”- He patted On’s head, her sobs becoming louder. What should he do…he doesn’t like to see them like this.
“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine”- Raon was the only one who continued singing, trying to keep a smile on his face. He was forcing himself.
“You make me happy when skies are gray”- In comparison to the mood, the sky was really clear today, in fact, it was sunny.
“You'll never know, dear, how much I love you”- He hugged his children tighter, feeling his strength disappearing, he felt that he couldn’t continue singing and wanted to close his eyes.
The tone of the children changed to pleading rather than singing.
.“P-please don’t take my sunshine…away..”
Cale was the sunshine who rescued them after all.
With the minutes, the body of his father started to feel colder .
And they all cried, sobbing and regretting the death of their sunshine.
