Notes:

Season 3 was horrible!

Work Text:

"I'm not a marine, I wasn't even in the army..." Dae-ho starts blurting out. He's rambling. He's panicked so he's rambling.

He's been getting chased by this monster, he's been trying to fight him off. He knows his name, Gi-hun, but all he sees is his dad.

Dae-ho knows he needs to fight off the incoming panic attack or PTSD or whatever's wrong with him.

Dae-ho is scared. This man standing in front of him, he knows he's not safe. The glares, the running, the knife. It's all coming back to him.

"I lied! I lied, I lied." He continues the rambling, like he's admitting to his father. That he never was able to serve in the marines. They put him in Social Service Personals.

He wasn't allowed to be near guns. He wasn't allowed to be in the Marines like he wanted. That made him weak.

His dad knew he was a weak coward. That's why he tried to toughen him up. It never worked.

Gi-hun stares forward, appalled.

Dae-ho looks so scared, he's spewing nonsense. Gi-hun needs to shut him up, the times about to run out.

Gi-hun's safe, he killed 044 just incase he couldn't reach Dae-ho.

"Shh, shut up, you aren't making sense." Gi-hun tries to grab Dae-ho's shoulder. He flinches and steps back. Gi-hun can't make out what Dae-ho's saying but it's pretty close to-

"Get away!! Get off of me! I'm a good person, I don't deserve this!"

This kid is messed up. What he was saying never made sense. He had to have fought in the army, unless...

This kid was really messed up then.

"Hey, hey, calm down." Gi-hun needs him to stop panicking. He can't kill him, even if he wants to. What would Jung-bae think?

Gi-hun still have some humanity left in him. At least enough to spare this poor boy.

"Please, have mercy on me! I tried my best, I couldn't, I was scared.." Dae-ho looks seconds away from tears.

The time runs out, they're both safe. The guards come in and try to pull Dae-ho away, he resists. They knock both of them out.

Dae-ho wakes up to a baby crying. He's on his bed.

Jun-hee gave birth, Dae-ho survived. He looks around the room..there's barely anyone. Hyun-ju, the only person that forgave him, she was gone.

He ignores Gi-hun, who's tied up, and walks over to Jun-hee. He's still a bit shaken up.

"Oh my..it's so adorable." He says, looking down at the baby. Jun-hee's tired, but she smiles a bit.

"It? It's a she." Jun-hee responds.

"Oh, yeah, right. Sorry.." Dae-ho apologizes. He's apologized a lot today.
