Work Text:

Gemini curved his lips into a smirk as he made his way toward the small garden shed covered in vice roses. The flowers wrapped around the posts like nature’s attempt at fancy event décor. He had been invited to a wedding, and while it started off fine, the longer it went on, the more bored he became.

He climbed the steps and turned to glance at the crowd still feasting and congratulating the newlyweds, who were now hopping from table to table to thank guests. Shaking his head, Gemini stepped inside the shed—only to pause when he realized someone was already there. A boy sat on the concrete railing, facing the pond where swans paddled lazily through the water like they had all the time in the world. The boy blinked slowly, his expression relaxed but striking. Long lashes brushed against his cheeks, and his eyes looked soft and honey-colored, with a strange mix of sadness and quiet intensity.

Gemini caught himself staring.

“Hi,” he greeted, shoving his hands in his pockets and strolling closer.

“Hi,” the boy replied without much interest. He glanced at Gemini for a moment before returning his gaze to the swans.

“What are you doing alone here?” Gemini asked, leaning on the rails, still staring.

“The party is boring,” the boy replied with a sigh. “And it’s too much for me.”

“You know the couple?”

“My sister’s the bride.”

Gemini raised his brows. “Oh? Wait—” He blinked. “You mean you’re Tantan’s brother? I didn’t know she had a brother.”

“If she hears you calling her Tantan, she’s going to kick you. That’s for sure,” the boy, chuckling.

“I’m Gemini Norawit, by the way” He held out a hand.

“The ex-boyfriend?” the boy asked, raising a brow. “The one who dates anyone he finds sexy enough to possibly entertain him in bed?”

“I never slept with your sister. Or with anyone else, for that matter,” Gemini groaned, rolling his eyes.

“I know. Because apparently, no one’s good enough for Gemini Norawit,” the boy replied with a smirk before hopping off the railing. “Fourth Nattawat,” he added as he cassually walked out of the shed.

Gemini snorted and turned back to the swans now drifting farther from the pond’s edge. With a shrug, he left the shed and rejoined the party.

Later that week, Gemini laughed as he placed his beer down on the bar table where his group of friends were celebrating their upcoming graduation.

“Hey, Tan,” he called out to the girl at the end of the table. She turned with her husband, smiling. “Your brother’s gorgeous, you know that?”

“I know,” Namtan replied. “And he’s innocent. So please, keep your eyes off my brother.”

“Oh?” Gemini smirked. “We had a little chat during your wedding. Have you guys even seen him? He’s prettier than Tantan,” he said, snorting.

“I’ve lived with him my whole life. Believe me, I know. People always think he’s a girl. His mannerisms, his voice—put him in one of my skirts, and he could pass.”

“And that would definitely turn Gemini on,” someones teased.

“He’s got a life, Gemini,” Namtan warned. “ He’s got plans, goals. Don’t ruin that.”

“I don’t ruin lives,” Gemini defended with a grin. “I add color to them.”

“And you painted minde completely black,” Namtan snapped.

“At least her husband painted gold over it,” someone joked, and the whole table burst into laughter and teasing.

“Ah, crap!” Gemini gasped as hot coffee splashed all over his coat. He stepped back, stunned, eyes now locked onto the person in front of him.

“I’m so sorry,” the boy said quickly. He pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and began wiping the mess off Gemini’s coat. “I’m such an idiot. I didn’t see you. I swear—”

“It’s fine, Fotfot,” Gemini said, brushing it off. He raised a brow when the boy suddenly paused, staring up at him.

“I’m sorry, do I know you?” Fourth asked, pouting slightly.

Gemini bit his lip at the sight. “You don’t remember me?”

“Have we met?”

“I’m—” Gemini caught himself. He remembered their earlier conversation. Maybe it would be better not to sayd. “Never mind. But now you owe me for ruining my coat.”

“How much?” Fourth asked, pulling out his wallet. “There’s a good laundry shop nearby. The stain’s not permanent.”

“I’ve got a closet full of coats. I don’t need it cleaned. Your payment will be a date with me. Deal?”

Fourth blinked. “Sorry, but have you lost your mind? A date with a stranger?”

“You’re not a stranger. I know who you are. And you’ll know me soon enough.”

Fourth sighed. “If you’re not crazy, then I am. Talking to strangers who ask you out is suspicious, especially when I don’t even know your anem.”

“Your sister told me you’re smart,” Gemini said, smiling.

“Impossible. My sister doesn’t know you.”

“I’m Namtan’s friend.”

“Prove it.”

“She got married two months ago and now she’s one month pregnant.”

“She’s what?” Fourth gasped.

“She told us yesterday.”

“I’m not convinced,” Fourth said and pulled out his phone. He dialed quickly. “P’, are you pregnant?”

“Who the hell told you that? That was supposed to be a surprise!” Namtan barked from the other line.

“Some stranger I spilled coffee on. He sayd he’s your friend.”

“Pass the phone!” she yelled, and Fourth handed it to Gemini.

“Hi, Tantan,” Gemini greeted sweetly, holding the phone away from his ear as she screamed at him. “Relax. I didn’t stalk him. It was an accident. I’m giving the phone back now.”

Gemini returned the phone to Fourth.

“She told me to go home now or I’d lose my virginity today,” Fourth muttered.

“She’s crazy. And you know that,” Gemini replied. “I’m not going to hurt you. But she’s not wrong about me eyeing you.”

“You’re interested in me?”

“If you swing that way,” Gemini teased.

“Oh, I do,” Fourth smiled.

“Wait, really?”

“I swing,” Fourth said, nodding.

“Not like swings on the playground, alright?”

“I know,” Fourth replied, rolling his eyes.

Gemini slowly opened his eyes and chuckled as Fourth rolled on top of him, staring down. He could feel the warmth of Fourth’s skin and smiled as the boy traced his lips with a fingertip.

“What?” Gemini murmured, running fingers through Fourth’s bare back.

“Are you seeing anyone right now?”

Gemini grinned. “Nope.”

“Good,” Fourth said with a nod.

“Why?”

“Because if you cheated on me, I’ll castrate you.”

“Oh.” Gemini blinked. “You will?”

“Yes. I’m serious,” Fourth replied with a smirk.

“Okay,” Gemini nodded quickly.

“Got it?”

“Yes, completely.”

“Good. Now that we’ve cleared that up, can we go for another round?”
