Work Text:
At first, Lukas hadn’t felt too awful considering all that happened. Sure he was dead tired and his whole body ached, but over all, things could be worse. After all, PAMA was gone and his mind belonged to him again.
Then the adrenaline faded, and Lukas became acutely aware of the pulse in his fingers. He shrugged it off for the time being. They had more important matters at hand. He held his arm protectively and kept going.
Over time however, his fingers started to stiffen and heat up uncomfortably. By the time he and the others settled down to rest, the throbbing of his hand was infinitely distracting. Lukas finally took a good look at it and was surprised by just how swollen and red his fingers had gotten. The most surprising part was by far the pieces of glass in his skin.
Lukas took a shaky breath and began to gingerly pull the shards out.
