I wasn’t ‘xactly sur’ what I want’d to do this summ’r. With Ron b’ing in Switz’rland with his Family, and Harry off saving th’ world again, I found mys’lf with no-on’ to s’’. Initially, I had d’vot’d mys’lf to r’building Hogwarts, but that only took a matt’r of a f’w w’’ks. Aft’r that, I sudd’nly cam’ into a lot of fr’’ tim’ in a plac’ with so much information that no singular human could ‘v’r r’ad th’ir way through it in a lif’tim’.
That’s how I found mys’lf in th’ situation I was in 4 w’’ks ago. I had s’t out to find out a bit mor’ about how magic work’d, and initially had a fair amount of succ’ss. How’v’r, as I got d’ap’r and d’ap’r into it, th’ mor’ I r’alis’d how littl’ was actually known. Sur’, th’ basics w’r’ w’ll docum’nt’d, but aft’r that Wizard-kind hav’ s’’mingly n’v’r both’r’d. I hav’ many th’ori’s as to why this is, ranging from th’ most pow’rful wanting to k’’p th’ir s’cr’ts to maintain th’ir pow’r, to Wizards simpling b’ing so lazy that it’s n’v’r b’’n s’’n as n’c’ssary to prop’rly t’ach what is mostly figur’d out through intuition.
What b’tt’r way to solv’ th’ probl’m than to fix it mys’lf? Which is why I’v’ writt’n this. Th’ most compr’h’nsiv’ study into th’ inn’r workings of th’ most important asp’ct of our soci’ty.
Wizards lik’ to vi’w th’ms’lv’s as b’tt’r than muggl’s for th’ fact that th’y hav’ knowl’dg’ of magic, but muggl’s do not. This could not b’ furth’r from th’ truth. Th’ muggl’ t’rm “plasma” is th’ simpl’st d’scription of magic possibl’.
