Dazai hated Chuuya, of course he did who wouldn't. The boy was a short tempered nuisance. He was almost Dazai’s complete opposite. While Dazai was cold and almost inhuman, Chuuya was the complete opposite, so full of life it was aggravating to be around him. How anyone would willingly be around Chuuya escapes him.
So then why did Dazai feel disappointed when he began to see less of Chuuya?
When he brought Chuuya into the Port Mafia he assumed Chuuya would be his to do with as he pleased. And yet Chuuya was being mentored by Kouyou and had been brought into the Young Bloods. It’s not like he wanted Chuuya close to him, nor anyone for that matter. to be honest, Dazai actively pushed away anyone who tried to get close to him. So then what right did he have to be surprised when he was left alone.
He was feared by everyone in the organization, even Mori. And yet Chuuya just looked at him like an annoying kid, it was infuriating. What made Chuuya so special?
Dazai wondered sometimes what it would be like to have companions like the ones Chuuya had found.
Why was he thinking like that? He didn’t need anyone.
Dazai looked up and noticed Chuuya. He considered going to talk with teen; before noticing he was talking with one of the other members of the Young Bloods. Dazai lowered his head and walked away, back into the shadow.
