Time can either be used on such important things, or they can just be used to just waste time! Dae-Ho has been trying to find part-time lately after he got a social service personnel, other then just helping the people on the streets, subways, he wanted to kill time, not just spend time alone at home, right?
Dae-Ho walked into the cafe, SugarCube Inn, sounds nice enough, the bell ringed at the presence of someone walking in, making the cashier look up from her phone, placing it down on the counter before fixing up her apron and greeting the man infront of her, "Welcome to SugarCube's Inn, what would you like to have?" She asked, before observing the man, then adding, "6.40" She answered.
Dae-ho didn't even say a word, a sentence, nada. Dae-ho chuckles before asking, "Huh? What do you mean 6.40?" He asked, he never seen her, he usually sees Hyun-jin behind the counter, is she new? or did she cover Hyun-jin's shift? "My friend told me about your order, said she wanted your visit too still feel soothing." The girl behind the counter told him as she smiled, she had long bronze hair in a ponytail, with a few strands on the side of her face, along with some pink-blue braids. Dae-Ho chuckles before smiling awkwardly, "Ahah,, thank you, tell her I said thank you, I appreciate it." He told her as she nodded, "I'll get your order in a minute." She replied as she grabbed the cup, "Your name?"
"My name? I assumed your friend told you." Dae-Ho asked before the girl huffs, "I may be a busy body but I dont want to look like a creep too." She answered before grabbing the pen, "Dae-Ho, Kang Dae-Ho." The marines answered as the girl nodded, "Nice name." Dae-Ho nodded along with her compliments before smiling, "Uhm, yours too." He said as he read the name tag on her uniform, "Mina sounds pretty too." He added as Mina darted her eyes to him, and nodded. "Thank you~" She said before moving her eyes back to the cup, writing the name, 'Dae-Ho'. Dae-Ho watched her before attempting to make a conversation, since there's no one in the cafe, just the employees and the marine himself.
"Soo, did you just take Hyun-Jin's shift?" He asked as Mina glanced up, currently making the milk latte in hand, "The manager wanted us to change shifts." She answered as she hummed, "Takeout or Dine In?" She asked as Dae-Ho tilted his head to the side before replying to her question, "Dine in, please." The brunette nodded as she puts a thumbs up, "You want any desserts?" Dae-Ho nodded quickly before the corner of his mouth went up and glanced at the desserts shown on display, he's a guy whose into sugary and everything sweet, isnt really into the bitter types of food, so it's nice to eat desserts every now and then.
"Uhm, the chocolate brownie fudge please." Dae-Ho told her as Min-na nodded and took it out of its display and puts it on the tray, before providing the finished milk latte onto the tray as well, typing the recipient before tearing it out and handing it to him, the other hand open for the cash to be given. Dae-Ho took out his wallet and gave her the cash, before taking the tray with his order and taking a seat nearby.
Hyun-Jin has talked about the girl before, but Dae-Ho never seen her clearly or as close as he could currently, but dang. Shes so pretty, she should have been a model, speaking of model, he feels like he has seen her before, at some billboard when he walked past by to get his usual groceries, or when he wanted to take a walk in the streets and just observe the sky above, seeing billboards side to side. He wouldn't be surprised if Mina is actually a model in some type of way, she makes a very pretty one.
He wants to talk to her, desperately. It has been, like what? 10 minutes? his meal remained untouched as he didn't want to leave the cafe and miss his opportunity to talk to the cashier at front, with her pretty smile and soft gaze. He sighs as he leaned his face against thr back of his hand, glancing either between the food or the woman with braided hair.
Time is ticking, and he didn't want to bother and making himself stay for too long, so he ate his meal, half of it. But it doesnt matter! He finally got the courage to talk to her, grabbing his wallet and drink as he approached to the side of the counter, so he doesnt accidentally hold up a line, he doesnt want to embarrass himself! He watched as the cashier glances up from her phone, momentarily distracted that he was by the counter, probably expecting a tip, hmm, maybe if they have a good conversation, Dae-Ho will think about it.
"I feel like I've seen you around, yknow? like at the big city, on the billboards I walked past by, you seem familiar." He started it off smooth, hoping the woman won't reply with a dry attitude or worse, ignore him and go back to her phone, he prays it isnt that type of situation. "Oh? Yeah, I do some modelling, I didn't think I was THAT pretty to be noticed that quickly." She playfully said as she laughs softly. Oh god, he would play that laugh on repeat until his ears bled, no, scratch that, he'll gladly hear her laugh with bleeding ears.
"You are pretty, dont doubt otherwise." Dae-Ho reminded as the tip of his lips curved upwards into a small yet gentle smile, making Mina twirl the braids of her hair. She knew she was pretty herself, like cmon, have you seen her! yet, getting the kind reminder from the man got her having a soft pink-redish tint on her cheek. He sounds so sweet, hes definitely the big gentle bear, no harm, so adorable. "Never doubted it once, dont worry." She replied back when she realised she got stuck in a trance, getting a soft chuckles from the marine before he prompted, "That's good, you have the confidence, I like that."
"Thank you, its hard having people doubt me and try taking me down, those snakes." Mina replied as she snickers before Dae-Ho smiled softly, "Uh huh, that's great, knowing to not surround yourself with those types of people, if you know you deserve better, you go for it!" He told her as his smile widens.
