Hailey's phone laid face down on her desk, while she stayed up in her loft bed, staring at the ceiling.
What the hell are we going to do now?
It'd been a few days since Everet blocked her, Bluet, and Azure with very little warning. None of the three knew where ze lived - let alone where ze was now - so there wasn't much they could do.
But that didn't stop Hailey from wanting to.
Sighing, she climbed down the ladder from her bed and went to sit at her desk. She pulled open her laptop, the bright screen blinding her eyes.
She gently rested her hands on the keys, for the fifth time that week.
"missing person everet"
And for the fifth time that week, plenty of results appeared, but none of them matched what she was looking for. None of them were for a teenager named Everet.
What am I expecting to find at this point? We'll never find zir.

"Hm?"
Hailey flipped over her phone to read the screen.
"...What the hell is that?"
It was a text, but it wasn't someone in her contacts. In fact, it didn't look like it came from a number....
The name was blotched out with corrupted pixels.
Reluctantly, she entered her password and opened the notification.
[Hey, don't worry, ze's okay!]

If the content of the text wasn't strange enough, the text was.. glowing. Purple, specifically.
