Chapter Text
Aizawa was glad that homeroom was done and over with for the next two hours. He had grabbed his bright yellow sleeping bag and was about to unzip it to have a short nap before finishing his paperwork when his phone buzzed with a text. He sighed, taking out his phone and seeing a message from Nedzu.
Rat: All Might cannot do his Heroics Class today.
Cat: So the buffoon couldn't even last one full day without going over his time limit.
Rat: Unfortunately, you will have to take over.
Cat: Send me the lesson plan and I'll just go through what he wanted to teach.
Cat: But don't get your hopes up that I'll be like him and let these hellions do whatever they want just because that was apart of his plans.
Rat: Of course, Aizawa. I will send the lesson plans to you by the time you reach Ground Beta.
Aizawa sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose in exasperation. His sigh drew the attention of a few of his students to him; Midoriya, Iida, Todoroki, and Uraraka to be precise, though Bakugou twitched faintly. For all the teacher knew, the blonde noticed as well and simply didn't look.
He stood from his spot on the floor, rolling his sleeping bag back up as he addresses the class, whom were discussing who their Heroics teacher could be. "It would seem that your teacher won't be able to join you today, so I will have to do his lesson. Hopefully, it won't become a habit."
Some of the students paled, understandably so in Aizawa's opinion. After all, he did leave a lasting impression on them yesterday. He will go on the record that he didn't dislike this years class, but he wasn't certain that everyone would last the entire year.
"We are going to Ground Beta-" he was cut off by the buzz of his phone. Upon checking it he finds that Nedzu had sent the lesson plans, proving he was correcting in his assumptions. Once he read the first few lines he turned back to his class, pressing a button on the wall next to the chalkboard, allowing the cases to pop out from the back wall. "Grab the case corresponding to your seat number and head for Gym Beta to get changed. I will be waiting outside to lead you all toward Ground Beta."
None of them wanted to stick around and ask any questions so they left quickly.
Aizawa wouldn't say he was proud of that, but he wasn't disappointed. This was only the second day and his class was already fearful of being expelled. He wished that he wouldn't have to put that fear in his students minds, but he refused to allow another student to walk out onto the field thinking everything was going to work out each time. Heroes died and he was not going to let them go out there believing otherwise. There would not be another Oboro. Not on his watch.
Once he arrived outside of the locker rooms he only waited all of three minutes for the twenty students to exit.
All Aizawa could think was that he was going to be having talks with not only the students, but also their parents, and Power Loader. Not only were most not equipped for safety, but Hagakure and Yaoyorozu either weren't clothed at all or basically naked. He couldn't even look at them, it was that bad. At least Iida's was problems were understandable as it was a legacy suit, but that didn't make it any better. Though, the boy was completed covered and armoured, the main problem was the sharp edges would not protect him.
He will hold off on that until later, however.
"Follow me, then."
Upon entering Ground Beta's observation room, Aizawa picks up one of the boxes filled with Bingo balls, shaking it to gather their attention. "Line up and pick a ball from the box. Once that is done, find the person whose ball matches your own."
There was some pushing and shoving, but otherwise no real problems arose from those orders. Thankfully, at least.
Aizawa watched as the students joined up with their teammates.
Team A - Izuku Midoriya & Ochaco Uraraka
Team B - Shoto Todoroki & Mezo Shoji
Team C - Momo Yaoyorozu & Minoru Mineta
Team D - Katsuki Bakugou & Tenya Iida
Team E - Yuga Aoyama & Mina Ashido
Team F - Rikido Sato & Koji Koda
Team G - Denki Kaminari & Kyoka Jiro
Team H - Fumikage Tokoyami & Tsuyu Asui
Team I - Mashirao Ojiro & Toru Hagakure
Team J - Eijiro Kirishima & Hanta Sero
Aizawa sighed. "I will now pick out which teams will be labeled as heroes and which will be labeled as villains and who would go against who."
After the teams were picked, he put them up on one of the screens.
Team A vs. Team D
Team B vs. Team I
Team H vs. Team J
Team G vs. Team C
Team E vs. Team F
"Alright." Aizawa clapped his hands together to draw the attention back to himself. "The point of this exercise is that the villains will guard a bomb." The face he made showed the students his disapproval of the lesson. "The heroes have to capture the villains or touch the bomb to win. However, I will add to the lesson by saying that I will be using realistic results based on how you react."
It didn't seem like any of them understood what their teacher was saying. Bakugou was rolling his eyes, which caused Aizawa to narrow his. Todoroki didn't seem concerned that his quirk would fail him.
"With that, Team D enter building A and begin your five minutes of prep time. Team A," Aizawa turned from Bakugou and Iida, to face Midoriya and Uraraka. "You two will wait outside the building for your own prep time. At the end of the five minutes, you will get a beep from your communicators to alert you the exercise has begun."
Bakugou stomped off, not waiting for Iida who was very tense. Aizawa would guess that the boy didn't appreciate having to play the villain. When he glanced at Midoriya and Uraraka he saw the green-haired boy was shaking from head-to-toe, even though his eyes blazed with determination.
This would be very interesting.
Chapter 2: Chapter 2
Chapter Text
It was the next day, and everyone was somewhat terrified of what their teacher was about to show them.
According to the notes they all received on their desks upon walking into the classroom, almost everyone failed their first battle trials. Those who passed were informed not to tell their classmates to save them from questioning.
When Aizawa finally walked into the classroom, the entire class was already filled with anxiety. Aizawa watched as some students jumped at the door closing, hiding a grin. He truly doesn’t like scaring his students, but sometimes they should know to be wary rather than complacent.
He turns on the projector, already set with the title ‘Team A Izuku Midoriya & Ochaco Uraraka vs. Team D Katsuki Bakugou & Tenya Iida’.
Izuku, Ochaco, and Tenya paled while Katsuki let out a feral grin. The blonde had steadfastly refused to open his note, yelling that he knew he passed and there was no reason for him to be told in a note. Izuku and Ochaco had thought that meant Katsuki and Tenya passed, but seeing Tenya’s facial expression after reading his own note led them to believe that both teams failed.
Aizawa took note of the reactions and was not pleased with Bakugou’s behaviour. He was certain the boy would be singing a different tune once he realized how badly he had screwed not only his teammate, but himself over. One thing that was clear about Katsuki Bakugou; he was cocky and overconfident in his abilities.
“We will begin with the first team that took on the challenge,” Aizawa began to say, glaring at Bakugou as he went to shout. The boy scoffed at the glare but closed his mouth either way. “To start with, each student has received a note from me stating whether they won the challenge or not.” He watched as those students gulped or paled. “In this case, none of the four participants won this.”
Bakugou choked on his saliva as he attempted to come to terms with his failure. Aizawa had no doubts that the explosive boy was already running through the battle, trying to find where he could have gone wrong. Well, luckily for him, Aizawa was about to show him exactly what he did wrong, along with the other three students.
The screen began to play, showing the first mistake to be made. Bakugou and Iida arrived at the building, not moving the bomb to another room. Most looked at that as a more strategic move due to them being the first to attempt the trial. No, that wasn’t the issue. The issue was that the entire way to the bomb was filled with shouts and berating comments courtesy of Bakugou.
Aizawa paused the footage. “Can anyone tell me from this first part of the challenge what the problem was?”
Yoayorozu tentatively raised her hand. She had passed in terms of the challenge, but her partner most certainly did not. She believed it was most likely due to what he had tried to do during what should have been a serious and dangerous mission. Unlike her partner, she had taken the situation seriously. “Lack of communication. I can understand if they were playing a part and agreed upon such comments, but it is clear that was not the case. Their lack of communication meant that they didn’t have those five minutes of prep-time to fully comprehend what they were going to do in order to win.”
“What do you know?” Bakugou grumbled in his seat, hands primed to let off an explosion. The only reason why he hadn’t turned around and done so was that Aizawa had his eyes trained on him.
Aizawa gave a nod, “Yes. Communication is key to any successful mission. While they were playing the villains in this scenario, that aspect does not change.” With that, the screen begins to play once again, this time showing Midoriya and Uraraka’s prep-time.
This one was a lot better, as they had actively communicated their plan with each other, but there was one glaringly obvious problem that needed to be addressed.
“And here?”
Aizawa was pleasantly surprised that the only one to raise their hand this time had been Midoriya himself. “I went alone. Uraraka and I were supposed to be a team, and yet the whole plan revolved around splitting up. We might have grabbed the bomb in the end because of that plan, but circumstances during the fights led me to believe that it wouldn’t have mattered in a real-life scenario.”
“Exactly.” The look Midoriya received from the teacher was enough to cause him to shrink down in his seat. However, Aizawa was glad to note the green-haired boy wasn’t terrified of his results as much as he had been when he first walked into school this morning. That was good, the boy was learning, if slowly. “Never go alone. You knew that Bakugou would come after you, Midoriya. That was a good call to mention it, but you should never have gone alone. You all know the results of that move.”
Uraraka looked down. The thoughts running through her head were easy to see passing by her face. She was disappointed in herself for not speaking up and forcing Midoriya to listen to her. She thought that she could have done more. In truth, she was correct, but it was also the first Heroics class and the second day of school altogether. With that, Aizawa cannot bring himself to criticize her too badly.
The screen is playing once again, showing Bakugou and Iida. It was physically hard to watch for some of the students. Todoroki was actively glaring at Bakugou on the screen, something that Aizawa will have to watch out for.
Unbeknownst to Aizawa, Todoroki was thinking about how similar Bakugou was acting to his father.
The video shows Iida attempting to get a plan running before Bakugou essentially tells him to be quiet and starts for the stairs. While Bakugou is leaving the floor, Iida begins to remove everything from the room that could be used as ammo for Uraraka to use.
Iida wanted to raise his hand to explain his reasoning, but knew that it wasn’t a question that he should answer. This was a good move on his part, and he won’t act as if it wasn’t. He was glad that Denki raised his hand, though. “Uraraka’s quirk would have turned everything in the room into something she could use against Iida and Bakugou, if he had stayed.” Aizawa’s lips twitched at Denki’s mutter at the end. Luckily, Bakugou didn’t seem to hear the electric boy.
Aizawa nodded to Denki, showing him that his answer was right. Seeing the boy light up at getting the correct answer felt nice, and he hated that sometimes he’d have to be hard on him. Denki was smart, but it was mostly street smarts. It was going to be hard on the blonde, but hopefully, he can stick it out and come out on top. “What Iida did was the best bet with the cards he had been dealt. In a situation where you know anything about your opponent, use it to your advantage. Midoriya was doing the same thing when it came to Bakugou, but at a different scale.”
Midoriya nodded, knowing that what he did wasn’t the best option he could have done, but knowing in the aftermath of a scenario was better than in a real battle.
As the video continued to play, no one could fully see the problem with Midoriya’s strategy besides them splitting up. That was until Bakugou started letting off explosions left and right. The screen rewinds and changes perspective, showing Iida with the bomb. Each explosion Bakugou sets off can be heard by Iida, but after three consecutive explosions, the bomb in the room is lifted off the ground.
Aizawa could see the moment when some people realized what was happening. Instantly, five hands shot up into the air. Iida, Mineta, Shoji, Tokoyami, and Todoroki all raised their hands, but Aizawa could only choose one to answer. If the person he chose didn’t give the full answer, then maybe one of the others could finish it.
He decides to choose Shoji, who doesn’t speak much in the first two days of school. “Bakugou is risking the bomb going off, if it hasn’t already.”
“Simple, but accurate,” Aizawa began. “That,” he points at the screen that has been paused on the bomb still lifted off the ground a few centimeters. “Would be enough to set the bomb off.” He pauses. “This is why both teams ultimately failed. Realistically, the villain team won as the bomb was set off, the building would have been destroyed, and if any civilians hadn’t made it out of the blast range in time have died.”
Bakugou was fuming, smoke was billowing from his palms, and that was enough for Aizawa to stop the presentation. He would prefer the classroom not to become a war zone, but Homeroom was also coming to a close. Luckily for him, due to Aizawa taking over yesterday’s Heroics class, he now has today’s to give the class their results.
All he has to do is wait till the end of the day. Hopefully, none of the others have as violent a reaction as Bakugou could have had.
With that, English Literature with Present Mic was about to begin, and Aizawa was heading to the staff room to sleep before he had to deal with the hellions once again.

Chapter Text
Hi everyone! I’d like to make this known. I am still writing, however, I won’t be posting much for a while. What I want to write the entire story before posting those chapters every so often.
For clarification, I will still be posting, but it will be one shots only.
On another note, I have made a Google Classroom (https://classroom.google.com/c/NzcwNzQ1NDA1MDM0?cjc=ygflcdgk) for everything I’m working on! It will have links to every chapter along with updates such as when I finish a story it will show up saying that story will be posted soon. There will also be ideas that I have that I haven’t started yet that you can look at and give me some feedback on if you’d like me to write it. Please note that I will be writing them all no matter what, but the comments would help me get more motivation.
I hope you all will stay with me while I’m partially going dark. You’re all amazing people and I’m glad that so many of you like my works. I hope to continue giving you good content even when life begins to get frustrating. Thank you for staying with me, and I hope you enjoy.
