Work Text:

Shun sighed as he tried to memorize the vocabulary words from the current lesson. He knew learning a new language was tough, but he never thought it would be that hard!

He learned English rather fast, but with his strict teacher and all the hours spent at cram school, it would've been outrageous if he hadn't grasped, at least, a bit of English. Greek hadn't been a problem either, but then again, he had had a wonderful teacher; Daidalos could look a little aloof from a distance but was rather friendly when you got to know him, and a hell of a good teacher—in every sense of the word.

But Russian...

He just couldn't get the hang of it.

Perhaps that was the issue: he lacked a good instructor. He felt as if he were self-teaching himself that foreign language, and how could he teach himself something he barely understood?

Although he did have a teacher, this one was rather useless, to say the least.

Whenever Hyoga tried to approach and teach him a thing or two, the lesson slightly deviated to another more passionate matter.

That was ridiculous! He needed a tutor who corrected his mistakes, one that yelled at him when needed and that pushed him to be better, not one that complimented his beautiful eyes every two minutes or whispered the answer lustfully into his ear. That didn't help at all! Knowledge came with blood, not kisses!

And just when his concentration started to get deeper, Hyoga arrived and sat beside him.

"What are you up to?" he asked, placing a kiss on Shun's forehead.

Shun moaned with mixed emotions. He loved his boyfriend; he really did, but his imminent arrival meant he couldn't keep going with his lesson.

"Vocabulary," Shun stated, putting his pencil down and laying his head back.

"And how's that going?" Hyoga smirked.

"Horribly."

Hyoga let out a laugh. "Let me help you."

If only those words were true.

"Let's see," Hyoga said, getting closer to his boyfriend. "Вы хотите курицу или утку," he read the sentence on Shun's book, with that sexy accent the green-haired boy could die for.

Shun stared at him open-mouthed. There it went, his lesson of the day.

"That's an easy one! What word don't you understand?"

Shun delayed a few moments in answering, still beguiled by Hyoga's accent."Oh... like... the whole sentence..." he admitted, blushing slightly.

Hyoga chuckled. "C'mon! You should know at least one word!"

Shun returned his attention to his book and tried to think. He used to be smart! Apparently, Hyoga made him stupid.

"Well... I think I know this one," Shun replied, pointing at the word «курицу». "Ku-kurip... kuritsu?" Hyoga nodded. "That means «chicken», right?"

"That's right."

"And I guess «Вы» means «you» or something."

"Yeah, formal and plural."

"Aha... and jo-jotchichye?" Shun mumbled; his pronunciation was terrible.

"Khotitye," Hyoga corrected. "We practiced this vocabulary last week, remember?"

Shun giggled nervously. He didn't remember that particular detail from last week; on the other hand, he did remember what had happened that night in bed after the supposed lesson was over.

"I don't know, Hyo-chan! I'm lost!" Shun pouted, "Is it something along the lines of «like» or...?"

"Correct! More like «want». Conjugated with «вы», obviously."

Shun sighed. "Okay, so... so far this means «Do you want chicken...», «или» means «or», correct?" Hyoga smiled. "Do you want chicken or... damn, I don't know the last one either."

Hyoga raised his eyebrows, as if repeating the answer in his head could give Shun a clue.

"Is it a bird?" Shun asked.

"So-so"

"A dove?"

Hyoga laughed. "No."

"Mmm... a crow?"

Hyoga moved his head negatively again.

Shun bit his lips, then smiled cheekily. "A swan?"

Hyoga chuckled. "Close, but no."

Shun panted exasperatedly; he had no clue, and Hyoga's gaze upon him didn't help at all.

A few moments later, Hyoga leaned forward to Shun and whispered in his ear:

"Quack."

Shun snorted as a shiver went down his spine. There was nothing more thrilling to him than Hyoga whispering in his mother tongue from up close. He could sense the wetness of his lips, the exquisite movements of his tongue, and listen to that thick Russian accent with perfect clarity.

After the murmur came a kiss, so soft and tender, and then a nibble on the earlobe. God! How he loved when Hyoga did that! Shun bit his lower lip to prevent the moan that was forming down his throat from escaping his mouth. He was trying to keep it professional.

"So..." Shun cleared his throat, "The whole sentence would say: «Do you want chicken or duck?», wouldn't it?"

Hyoga's head nodded again, proudly. Then he softly set his lips upon Shun's as a reward for finally getting the sentence in question.

"Well done," Hyoga muttered.

"Don't lie! I'm terrible at this!"

"You could switch to German."

"Whatever for? We live in Russia, not Germany."

"German is harder, I get. You would switch back to Russian as the easier option."

Shun laughed. Maybe it was enough studying for the day; besides, he wasn't grasping anything really. He thought it would be relieving to make a pause and enjoy himself.

He let out a long breath as he closed his book. Hyoga frowned.

"Call it a day already?"

“Just five minutes." Shun replied, and before Hyoga could answer back, he pressed his lips against his. He couldn't keep it in any longer. "Between chicken and duck... I think I'll take the duck..." Shun moaned between kisses.

Hyoga blushed.

Yes. It was definitely time for a break.
