James pov: ~~~
I was looking for my Reggie. We were supposed to hang out with his friends.
“Have you seen reg?” Barty asks and I just shake my head. He frowns softly and pouts.
My black, my darling. He is my moon. He is my star that never stops shining. He says I am the sun, but he shines so bright in my eyes he takes the place as the sun.
Barty has the same thought because he is always impatient. And never happens when regulus is late. He is always on time.
We walk to regulus room. Where the door is locked. Strange?
Barty busts down the door before I could get my wand to open the lock.
“Holy Merlin!” I shout as he stumbles into the room. A bunch of younger students look out their dorms probably studying.
The dark cold room feels even colder. Like death. Like there is not life in this room what so ever.
I hear Barty gasp and I check what he gasped. Letters? He opened his and I opened mine. I wonder what this is about.
The letter: ~~~
Dear Jamie,
I am so sorry. I know I promised you forever but I can’t keep going. They keep on getting worse. I am sorry to leave you like this. But it is my time to go. I am deeply sorry. Thank you for being the sun that shines so bright in my life.
“Regulus…shit go get Sirius!” I yell and more sytherins come out of their rooms and see what we are doing.
I am doing this for my star. How could he not tell me that his shine is slowly dimming?
Regulus was about to fall down when the one person I see is Barty grabbing him by the forearm. I race over there and I pull regulus up and he is sobbing.
“Just let me go!” He yelled out in pain he tried squirming out of Barry’s hands and we both hold him close.
“If you are ever losing the battle come back to us- we got you baby Star.” Barty tells regulus and I cradle him in my arms.
“Star you are never leaving us. Your to important. To us you are our world.” I told him and I just gave him a soft look.
His big grey eyes were puffy and red. I feel so bad for him.
“The storm keeps on raging.” Regulus tells us and I just shake my head at this and give him a warm smile.
“Oh darling, it’s okay, that’s why we are here.” I tell him. And he just slumps down my chest more and more.
He is just a lump in my arms. A sobbing mess. A mess that doesn’t deserve what he is going through. He is always here for Barty and I and Evan and for everyone. Just no one is here for him.
I held him in my arms rocking him gently when I heard soft snores. I knew he was asleep.
“I am going to get Sirius.” Barty said and I nodded.
He needed to know his little brother tried to mill himself.
