“Sooo, how do you smoke exactly? I've only ever seen it here and there.” Bandu asked as he got comfortable on the couch.
Banjex smiles as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a freshly rolled joint. How it didn't get crumpled up in his pocket is everyone's guess.
“It's not complicated. Basically, you light this end of the joint, put it to your mouth like this, and suck in the smoke. Make sure you breathe in the smoke into your lungs, that's how you get high. Here, I'll go first.”
Banjex pulled out a lighter, lit the joint, and took a hit. He held the smoke for a bit before breathing it back out away from Bandu, coughing a little bit as he did so.
“Aw yeah, that hit the spot. Okay, your turn.”
Banjex then handed the joint to Bandu.
“O-Okay, shouldn't be too hard.” Bandu said as he mimicked what Banjex did.
Unknown to Bandu, he had inhaled way too much smoke. Banjex noticed this and started to panic.
“H-Hey! That's too much smoke man! Blow it out quick!”
Bandu, who suddenly panicked, blew it out quickly, not realizing he blew it into Banjex's face.
“...Bandu, that was very rude.”
“S-Sorry! I got scared! D-Did I really smoke too much!?”
“Y-Yes but it's fine, you might be a heavyweight so it shouldn't… Uh…”
Banjex stopped talking when he noticed Bandu was staring off into space. His eyes were also noticeably pink.
Oh shit, is he greening out!? Banjex thought.
“Hey! Bandu! Can you hear me buddy?”
“Huh, wha?”
“How ya doing bud?”
“...Your walls are moving kinda funny...”
“O-Oh really?”
Yep, he's gone... At least he's not having a panic attack. I should probably call Bamburai and let him know what's going on. Banjex thought as he got up from the couch.
“Hey, I'm gonna get Bamburai real quick and let him know what's going on.”
“Oh! I'm gonna call my brother then! I'll be outside!” Bandu said as he wobbled to the front door and left the house.
…He'll be fine… Surely… Banjex thought as he watched Bandu fumble with his phone outside.
“So I take it you won the bet?” Bamburai suddenly said.
“Ah! Bamburai! Were you spying on us!?” Banjex said as he jumped from Bamburai's sudden appearance.
“Not the whole time, I actually came down to check on you guys. So, how'd it go?”
“Well, um, he did it, but uh…”
“BANDU! WHAT DID YOU DO!?” A new voice screamed out from outside.
“W-Who was that!?”
“It came from outside!”
Banjex and Bamburai both flew outside only to be greeted by the ruler of the 3D Realm, Expunged. Expunged, who was full of rage, turned towards the duo.
“YOU.” Expunged said as he pointed to Banjex.
“M-M-Me?” Banjex said in fear.
“YOU POISONED MY BROTHER WITH THIS SUBSTANCE YOU CALL WEED!”
“H-H-He's not poisoned! He's just a little out of it! That's all-”
Expunged swiftly grabbed Banjex and brought him to his face.
“I DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOUR EXCUSES YOU WEED SMOKING SCUM! I'LL MAKE SURE YOUR DEATH IS SLOW AND PAINFUL!”
This is it huh? I'm going to die, all because I just wanted someone to smoke with… Banjex thought as he saw Expunged slowly raise his claw.
But just when all hope seemed lost, Bandu flew up to Expunged.
“Big bro stop that!” Bandu yelled.
“BANDU-” Expunged started before Bandu cut him off while covering his non-existent ears.
“SHUSH! You're too loud!”
“Ahem, Bandu, I'm in the middle of something here.”
“I don't care! You're hurting my friend and I don't like that!”
“That's just the poison talking!”
“I'm not poisoned!”
“Hey!”
Everyone looked over at the new voice who called out. It was Bamberly, flying up to Expunged while holding her laptop out to him.
“Sorry to intrude your majesty but this article I found pretty much covers everything about weed. It's not poisonous.”
Expunged just stared blankly at the laptop before sighing and shrinking down to a normal size. Bamberly then handed him the laptop so he could read the article.
“...Ah. So it's basically like being drunk in a way." Expunged said calmly.
“You know what being drunk is but not being high?” Banjex asked.
“Yes. Drinks were brought from the 2D Realm a long time ago and mass produced here. Weed however is a new thing, at least for me.”
“Make sense. Maybe I should start a weed company here, we'd probably make a ton of money.”
“If you're going to do that, you better contact me first, I still need to research this substance.”
“R-Right. So uh, are we good now?”
“For now. As for you Bandu, I know you're an adult but be careful when you smoke this stuff.”
“Okay big bro! Maybe you can join us sometime!” Bandu said happily.
“Thanks but I'll pass. Goodbye.”
And with that, Expunged was gone, leaving the group to talk amongst themselves.
“Bamberly, you have no idea how much I owe you right now.” Banjex said while grabbing her non-existent shoulders.
“Hehe, don't worry about it Banjex.”
“Sorry about my bro, I didn't think he'd react like that.” Bandu said sadly, feeling bad about the whole thing.
“It's all good Bandu.” Banjex while wearing his signature smile.
“Still friends?”
“Of course! I can't let you go! You're my new smoking buddy!”
“Yay!”
“I do have one question though, Bamberly.” Bamburai asked.
“Hm?”
“Why did you call… Um…”
“Expunged.”
“R-Right… Why did you call him majesty?”
“You mean you guys don't know? He's the ruler of this world.”
“WHAT!?” Both Bamburai and Banjex yelled.
“Yep, he and his brother here rule over the 3D Realm. Didn't you hear me mention this while I was doing the paperwork?”
Bamburai looked away embarrassingly.
“W-Well, um…”
Banjex just shrugged.
“In my defense, I was high so I probably forgot.”
*Sigh* "Of course… Well anyways, we should be going now Bandu, it was nice meeting you and your brother in person. Hopefully we can all hangout properly another time.” Bamberly said as she turned to Bandu.
“Of course! I'd love to! Bye for now!”
“Bye!” The three of them said.
And with that, Bandu disappeared, leaving the stylish gods to wonder if moving here was a good idea.
“You still owe me that smoke by the way.” Banjex said while nudging Bamburai's non-existent arm.
“Dude, you literally almost died just now...”
"Don't matter! A deal's a deal! Now come on!"
They ended up smoking together later that night.
