Work Text:
Oh Altenia,
I see you in my endless dream. I sit alone on your shore, gazing out att the ocian i grew up in. i see a glimps of your mountains, dark and tall, over your horizon. the forest behind me is teaming with beasts, violent and vile, like myself. i have only your twin moons, for company. Yet I am never alone, you are with me, my home.
But you are different in this dream, only a memory of yourself. Your moons don't shine as bright, your wind sounds different, something isn't quiet right about your waves. I can hear them, or perhaps i feel them more the hear, the screams of the horror terrors, beonde my bubble. They remind me of my custodian, the evil who raised me, you remind me of her too.
Brave Alternia,
Planet in perpetual adolecence. You do not need to stand tall for me, you do not ned to pretend. I used to think of you as a protector, as a mother, large and powerfull. Now i see you as you are, a child, like myself. Lonely and voulnerable. You could never be anything more. with no adult inhabitants how could you ever grow up? Must we really leve you? I always belived you could mature into something wonderfull. but now it is too late. Like you, I will never grow up.
All hail Alternia,
Birth place of our grate empire, mother of monsters. From the moment i emurged from your bruding canerns, born onto your sufice, you have shown me nothing but violence. Planet of death and war, it is all we find on you, it is all we bring to the universe when we leave. I am the last daughter in your line of concourers. All who came before me, your proudest creations, tyrants of legend.
Are you achamed of me?
To my ancestors you are nothing but a cradel for their armies. You exist only to feuel our concuest. Why must we fight an endles war against the very universe? Is it in our nature or in the way we have been nurtured? Is it you who demand this greate concuest or is it we?
Alternia,
my beloved, Alternia,
Your violence and cruelty never swayed my love for you. You were ugly, like the beasts who inhabited you, yet i saw such beauty in you. I know i was meant to be your savior, to bring you out of the darkness, to race you like you did me. Did i forsake you? Or was it fate itself that left you behind. Perhaps you could have never been as beautiful as i imagiened you, perhaps I was never meant to save you. And now i join you in death. These memories are all that will remain of you and me.
