   Summary

   I could see straight through it for just a moment. It felt intimate, almost, to see the very innards of one’s body; then Silver buckled over, never to breathe again. The life left his body peacefully, gently, like a black cat slipping into the shadows. Just like that, Silver, my dearest comrade, was no more.
