Work Text:
Being in the orchard almost made her forget that she was stuck in this stupid desert town. Being surrounded by green leaves and ripening fruit was the one silver lining to this whole ordeal.
As she sat underneath one of the plum trees, admiring the flowers around her, she out her head in her hands.
They didn’t know who to blame for this. Their father, who got them trapped in this town with his damned mining obsession. The bounty hunter, who was trapping Apo under her thumb. The weird blue/green wall for literally trapping them here. The other residents of this town, who were definitely insane. Gnarpy, who probably played a part in this whole thing.
Or herself. For her weakness, incompetence, patheticness, whatever you want to call it.
They leaned their head back against the tree, gazing up at the bright sun. After a year of living here it was almost hard to remember her previous home. The sun was softer there, and the orchard wasn’t the only patch of greenery.
