Chapter Text
Kahit na ayaw, Charles had to go home.
His dad is seated on their dining table when he arrived.
He nodded at his father and planned to go straight to his room para tapusin ang gagawin nya at mag revise ng lyrics ng sinusulat nilang kanta.
But his father spoke before he can even walk inside. "Sit down here."
Tumaas ang kilay nya. "I have something to do."
"I know. Sit down."
Charles internally rolled his eyes. Alam mo naman pala, eh. Inang 'to.
Charles isn't the type to curse his parents. He loves them, especially his mom. But since his mother had to rest in heaven, cursing his dad become his second language.
Him and his dad changed.
"What is it about?" he sat down in a chair in front of his dad.
"You're getting married after you graduate—"
"What?"
"— You have to sit down as COO after that."
"Hold the fuck up. Me?" Turo sa sarili. "I'm getting married? I'm not even fucking dating anyone."
"Chastine is too young for this partnership. Para rin makaupo ka right after you graduate. The company will be under your na—"
"I don't want that damn company. Give it to Chastine. Isn't he gonna take business course in college anyway?"
"He didn't mention about taking over the company—"
"And you think I did?" masaklap syang tumawa. "Fuck. I took Psych despite saying you wanted me to take business over years ago. I built a band against your will, and you think I will fucking listen to you? I don't want the damn business."
He father sighed and massaged his temple. "All the stockholders has been expecting you, Charles. Grow up. Have the easy way. Hindi ka mapapakain nyang Psychology na 'yan."
"Tangina?" tumawa sya. "Now your disrespecting Mom's profession. Talk to the wall." he said and sat up to walk away.
