“Guo chengyu you jerk!”
Shuai took a random bottle of wine that was supposed to be just a display for Wu but he didn’t actually think he would be drinking them all.
“What do you mean planning to pursue someone else!!!”
Shuai stared at the table with multiple wine bottles pilling there.
He scoffs
He can't believe he actually believed him when guo said he likes him, of course why did I trust such a playboy
Shuai sighs again, “this shouldn't be what im worried about, that chi cheng deal ugh”. He's so overwhelmed with his thoughts that at this point, he might as well go and sleep to forget everything troubling at this moment.
Standing up from where he sat when Wu told him the apparent good news, Shuai didn't bother to clear the mess in the living room, he bolted to his luxury bedroom and decided to flop onto his bed, before he went to sleep. He thought, what if he texted? With hope and curiosity, he checked nothing, no message, no voicemails, it's like they became strangers again…
“If he wants to be strangers, I'll give it to him” he mumbled, but knowing deep inside that he actually wants guo chengyu to disturb him, tease him. It made his days more fun but fine if he wants to end it just like that, I'm fine with it.

It was the same routine for the next few days, he clocks in, attends to patients, at times when his back is facing the door when he hears the clinic door jingles, he hoped it was that annoying playboy. But when he turned around, it's just an ordinary patient seeking a consultation.
Some days were busy while some days, there was too much free time, he can't help but miss the annoying guy that is somehow always there, until he's not…..
That's it, enough of this boring life, I'm going to the club today to find people to dance with or whatever. This guo can be replaced!! I will make sure of it, I just need to get to know more people. That's it!!

Now here he is at the club, unsure why he is here. It was like he missed the objective of being here, he was supposed to be having fun but it was just changing to a location that is noisy as hell with the same drinks, everything just seems so annoying to him. It's been one or two hours since he felt that he should just pack it up.
Shuai already drank half the bottle by himself, he doesn't even know what's the joy of drinking by himself, and was about to leave as he felt the amount of alcohol he took had reached his limit.
Just as Shuai stood up, he spotted Guo Chengyu in the same club as him with guys by his sides, so this bastard was serious about what he meant, pathetic that I actually believed him. He finished the bottle of wine in one shot, which he regretted almost immediately.
Fuck how do I get home like this
Shuai just decided to cool it down before getting out of there, he made sure to drink more water making sure, he's more sober to drive back to his apartment.
Stepping outside of the club breathing in the fresh air on such a nice night, slowly walking while still a bit tipsy towards his car and opening the door. Just as a hand closed it back up, in his reaction defense speed he threw a punch at the person only for the person to catch it.
It was the one and only guo chengyu standing there.
“Dr Jiang, you threw a good punch~” in his typical teasing tone that Shuai rolled his eyes so badly though he missed it just a bit. “what do you want” Shuai replied bluntly, Guo leaned against his car and replied in a sweet tone “to get you home safe of course~”.
Shuai stood there absorbing the words, he what?
“Now why would it be any of your business, move!” He pushed Guo off his car door so he could open it just for it to be closed again by the very person.
“Just let me get you home okay?” Guo didn't answered Shuai question and completely ignored it, just for me to get home seriously? This guy?
Shuai didn’t want to accept the offer but he also didn't want to drive drunk though he was sober enough but he didnt want to risk it..
Without a reply, he just handed Guo his car keys with no expression whatsoever, and started walking to the passenger side. At this moment, Guo let out a little smile before getting into the driver seat.

In the car, it was a quiet ride with the music. You can hear the air conditioning blowing the wind. Guo didn’t want to start a topic so he stayed quiet, that was when he noticed at a stop shuai was very obviously fighting the sleep though he didn’t know why he would do that. But Guo didn't really want to say anything since Shuai is a stubborn guy. The more you say it, the more he will not do it.
So at each traffic light, Guo would just make sure to shoot a glance towards the side, checking if Shuai had won the fight against the sleep or had the sleep won him. And eventually it did turn out the sleep won him, he was sleeping so peacefully.
Guo wanted to gently caress his hair as he moved his hands closer, from the side of his eyes. He saw the traffic light turned green, he had no choice but to pull his hand back to the wheel and continued the drive back.
Then he remembered, how am I supposed to know what floor Shuai stays on?
Which made him turn to the direction of his apartment instead. After many turns and stops, he finally reached the apartment and by then Shuai was dead asleep. Guo didn't want to wake him up so he did what he could possibly do princess carry style up.
While taking the lift up, Shuai started mumbling “guo chengyu you jerk” throwing his hands around and almost hitting Guo, Guo could only dodged his attacks while carrying him. Unconsciously smiling, maybe he does love Shuai cursing at him, or even throwing punches, only him, fondly looking at the once peaceful sleeping beauty again.
Guo didn’t think Shuai would actually miss him, he thought he would be genuinely happy but after seeing the state of Shuai at the club…
Maybe he should stay by him afterall he never felt this way before, or could he say haven’t felt this since almost forever..
After the lift dinged at the floor, he stepped out and walked to the room. Thank goodness, his door has been changed to fingerprint, or else he couldn’t have possibly unlocked his own door with this guy in his arms.
Careful, he laid shuai on his bed, covering him up with the blanket and slowly sat at the side of the bed, looking at the quiet peaceful soul, not the usual feisty soul that always fights him back, maybe this isn’t a typical one that he can easily move on from.
Guo slowly lifted his hands up to his forehead, stroked his hair gently and whispered “don’t worry, I don’t plan to pursue anyone but you”. Guo knows he can’t hear it but he really just wants to say it out, in a verbal way..
