Chapter 1
I never would have believed you if you had told me that one day I would be reborn into a highly advanced watch from a cartoon from the early 2000s that allowed the user to transform into an alien organism that was built from what was essentially highly intelligent miniature frog like beings.
So, color me greatly surprised when that very thing happened.
How did I get here? Well... I died.
Yeah, it wasn't exactly a fun nor a pleasant experience. I was working on a security contract to help guard transports and equipment through supply lines running in Iraq. Hired by the federal government of the glorious United States of America to assist in guarding food, medical kit, and a bunch of other stuff through the war torn country.
It was on one of these excursions where I met my end, when a car on the side of the road turned out to be an EFP and shredded the lead vehicle of the convoy I was in. Which also happened to be the truck I was in.
It was after several minutes of agonizing pain where I finally died that I found myself in my current predicament. Currently as an artificial intelligence to help run the single most powerful pieces of technology in this here universe.
Yeah, it was a lot to take in. Especially given the fact I no longer had any physical arms or legs anymore. Still, I could have managed it. Well, I most likely could have. As the next thing I knew it felt like somebody was pounding my brain, or at least my current equivalent of it, with a jackhammer as I felt my entire being being overloaded by a tsunami of sensory data and technical information being downloaded into me at such speeds that I couldn't keep it.
Apparently, my creators had taken note of what was happening and pulled the plug, as I the next thing I remember was everything going black. I had no idea how much time was passed being the Galvans had decided to reactivate me, this is where I got my first real look at the being that created me; Azmuth.
It felt really weird seeing an alien in the flesh-so to speak.
Not much really happened after that as he continued to work on me During this time, I had managed to somewhat familiarize myself with my new form now that I had gotten over the initial weirdness of it. Like for one, unless it was electronic and linked to some kind of network that I could hack into, I couldn't really interact with my surroundings. As I later learned from a couple of aides that were assisting Azmuth with my construction, I would only be able to do so once a life form wore me, which I could then in theory hijack their bodies.
The second thing being that I couldn't really... see how I used to. It's rather hard to explain but essentially, it wasn't like when I was human where I could only look in one direction at a time and had a clear view of what was in front of me. No. Instead, my new form allowed me to have a three-sixty degree field of view with my sensory data forming an image. Sort of a combination of a bird's eye view and in free cam mode in a video game.
It was rather disorienting to say the least. Especially considering just how green everything was.
Aside from things like that, I managed to adjust to my new form whenever they deemed it fit to bring me back online and figure out how to operate and utilize my functions. Even managed to learn how to control the transformation when they the Galvan's stuck me on the one that had the (mis)fortune of being my test subject. It also stung when the frog man slammed down on the dial, which turned out to now be my face for some reason.
Yeah, the super intelligent Galvan's decide that the AI inhabiting their transformation watch was going to have their face be the dial. The thing that the person wearing would be slamming whenever they wanted to transform.
It seems even genius frog people would be susceptible to retardation at times.
Throughout all of my construction and the testing, I choose to keep myself quiet and just not say anything. Mainly out of fear of being shut down as I was unsure if Azmuth and the rest of his cohorts intended for their prized watch to actually develop sapience.
That and I my have hacked into their systems and scrolled through their databases once I managed to penetrate their firewalls and internal security so that I was effectively inside their security grid and communication mainframe. What? I was bored. alright. It wasn't like I had access to Earth's internet where I could browse the internet and pirate movies, the only thing I could find on the Galvan's internal network was lab experiment recordings, update logs, and what looked to be their version of board room meetings. Plus, one could only sing so many songs in their head before they start to go insane. I mean, I'm not exactly the most social of people, I considered myself to be an introvert, but even I found myself starting to grow crazy after what felt like weeks or even months of isolation.
Hey, time moved rather differently for for me, even with the lab techs turning me off whenever they weren't working on me. That was until I figured out that I can adjust the flow of how I perceived time and figured out how to configure it to a speed akin to that of a human being.
Gave myself a mental facepalm after that. Man, even when I was reborn as an advanced supercomputer that controlled and operate the prototype for the most advanced device in the galaxy, I was still so retarded.
Things all began to change when after the last time they shut me off, I found myself locked inside a locked capsule shrouded in total darkness. It wasn't until I hacked the local network that I realized that I was being transported aboard a ship that belonged to the Plumbers, the intergalactic law enforcement organization that protects the universe from threats from both within and outside the universe.
Still, thought their name was lame.
The second I had uncovered this, the vessel I was on shook violently, as if someone was firing on it. I managed to link myself to to their camera network and began cycling through the feeds to see if I could find the perpetrator, despite already having an idea of who it was. After several seconds of looking, I mentally sighed as I say the vessel firing it's outer guns on us.
A ship I knew belonged to the one and only Vilgax.
I wasn't given much time to think, even with my operating speed, as another shot of the vessel crippled the Plumber craft and the ship began drifting as its engines struggled to continue functioning. The capsule I was in was launched not to gently at the nearest planet, which I knew was without a doubt Earth. Had to admit, it was nice to see home again, even if it wasn't my version of it. Still, I had little time to be nostalgic as I would soon come into contact with the protagonists of the show I found myself in.
Of course, I had to make it through this first. Sure, I knew I would survive as Azmuth put me through many tests to ensure I would make it out unscathed through even the harshest treatment. That didn't mean it didn't hurt though.
And flying through space at 100,000 miles per hour while also burning up was going to hurt without a doubt.
It stung even more when I was knocked off course by that alternate version of Ben transformed as Cannonbolt. I knew I was going to be feeling that one for days. If not, the earth below was sure going to.
'This is going to suck...' were my final thoughts as I braced for impact as my pod neared the ground and I once again lost consciousness.
(Meanwhile on Earth)
"Whoa... a shooting star!"
Benjamin Kirby Tennison exclaimed to himself as he stared at the star streaking across the night sky. The young man watching the object with interest as he really had nothing better to do at the moment and that this was the most exciting thing that had so far happened since he had embarked on this stupid road trip.
He was so excited for summer vacation to start, only to be disappointed when he was informed that he was going to be traveling with his Grandpa Max and his cousin Gwen on a tour of the country. While Ben loved his Grandpa, but he wasn't what anybody would call close with his cousin. He still cared about her though. Not that he would ever tell her that.
After helping to set up camp, he left to take a walk through the woods. Just wanting some piece and quiet to himself as he quietly despaired over the places that Grandpa Max was going to be taking them too in the next several months. As much as he cared about his Grandpa. he wasn't confident that the locations the older man will be taking them to were going to be all that fun and interesting. Oh sure, they'll be thrilling and exciting for him, but Grandpa Max's interest didn't exactly align with his. Or even Gwen's for that matter.
Still, it was not like he could say no. So alas, he tried to see what fun he could have before going on this trip. A vain home as he continued to walk around finding nothing but trees.
Ben shook himself out of his thoughts as he focused his gaze on the shooting star. Admittedly, he wasn't all that fascinated with space and astronomy, that was more up Gwen's aisle. But, it wasn't like he had anything else to do at that moment. Plus, the star felt strangely... captivating for some reason. Ben wasn't quite sure why, but he felt as if what he was looking at was beautiful.
Suddenly, the object instantly changed course from its direction and made a beeline straight for him. His eyes widened in panic as he ran back the way he came. The rock crashing several meters behind as he flew forward. Landing on the ground with a oomph as he began coughing from all the dust and smoke filling up the air. His ears ringing from the boom the meteor had made when it landed.
As the dust cloud clear and the ringing in his ears started going away. He got back away as he brushed off the soot covering his clothes. Once he was finished, the ten year old looked behind him and saw a huge crater right at where he was standing minutes ago.
Hesitantly taking a step forward, he saw what looked to be some kind of pod right in the center of the impact spot. That was already strange enough. But what made this whole situation even weirder, was the watch right where the shell was, with it being opened from looked like the crash. The device was also unlike anything he had ever seen before. It was glowing green with some strange symbol right on the dial.
As he gazed upon the unusual watch, he let out one word that he believed best described this whole ordeal.
"Woah..."

Chapter 2: And then there were ten
Benjamin Kirby Tennyson was currently trying to get the strange device off his wrist to no avail.
It's been around several minutes since he that meteor had landed right by him. In his curiosity, and perhaps maybe foolishness, he moved in closer so he could get a better look at what had just landed.
After he had fallen into the recently formed crater, he made the mistake of getting to close to the mysterious watch. As it had instantly latched on him.
Ever since then, he's been attempting everything he could think of to get it off. At first, he ran back to the campsite to get help from Grandpa and Gwen, only to run around in several circles before he admitted to himself that he was lost.
Now, he was poking the glowing green watch with a stick before something unexpected happened. Dropping the stick, the dial extended with a beep.
"Whoa..."He said to himself as he green eyes remained fixed on the hourglass.
The symbol then formed a diamond shape and some strange silhouette formed in the center.
"Cool!" Tennyson exclaimed out loud as he looked around to see if anyone was watching.
Seeing that the coast was clear, he smirked as he pushed the dial down.
Pain.
If there was one word that best summed up the misery of my current existence it would be that.
'Uuuugggghhhh...' Man, this definitely hurt more than that time my body was shredded in Iraq.
Waking up was a pain to say the least. But if anyone said I didn't have a good reason to complain, I would stab them then and there.
Ok...I admit, that may be a bit of a overreaction on my part. But by God did I feel sore so I didn't feel too bad.
[Hull integrity...OK]
[Central core...OK]
As I was beginning to reorient myself after my un-willing launch, I started getting swarmed with notification and updates regarding the status of my body, mostly in regards to my structural integrity and the status of my core where I resided. I mostly just waved those away, figuring I would deal with it later as I just wanted to rest and seeing more of the color green didn't exactly help with my headache, or AI equivalent to it.
However, there was one pop-up that piqued my interest.
[ Host link...OK]
'Huh... does that mean...'
Yup, I was now connected with a host thanks to my built in protocols and programming. I internally signed in relief as this meant that things could still go similarly as to how it did in canon.
First thing I saw as I looked through the eyes of my newfound host for the foreseeable future?
Fire.
A massive forest fire. With my the ten year old human that I was currently residing on desperately trying to put it out by stomping on it and yelling at the flames to stop.
I'll give him an A for effort given that he was currently a Pyronite. Couldn't be too hard on him given that it was his first transformation.
At first, I considered revealing myself to give him a hand. But, my systems and body were still hurting like crazy. So, I decided to instead spend my time recovering from my intense circuit pain.
Beside, I knew the kid would be fine. I knew how this was going to turn out. As if the Good Lord himself heard me, he soon ran into Gwen, who was holding a fire extinguisher and mistaken her cousin for one of the flames. The scene played out exactly as how I remembered it did in canon, with Ben and Gwen almost getting into a fight before the latter realizing who the alien in front of her was. With Ben then not that greatly explaining what had happened to which Gwen responded with a quiet "ok". After that, the one and only Max Tennyson came into view. His eyes widening at the sight of the burning alien before Gwen explained that it was her brother. Who responded with an innocent wave and a "It's me, Grandpa."
After the three of them came to the decision that they would discuss more on this later. They began focusing there attention on getting the fire under control through roughly the same way they did in the show. By creating a backfire, essentially starting a new fire so that the two flames would burn each other out.
Seeing as how the situation didn't require my intervention, I began looking to see if there was any wi-fi around. Wanted to get a head start on browsing through my entertainment options and seeing if there were any video games and movies from my home universe here as well.
...Damn it! Still no wi-fi!
-So, you're saying that this watch just latched onto your wrist?" Grandpa Max asked his grandson Ben who was currently a being that was on fire as they sat around a...well, campfire. They had managed to get the forest fire under control and put as much distance between them and the scorched remains as they could before the forest rangers arrived. As they didn't have a good explanation to give as to why a ten year kid was down a flaming being.
"Hey! This time it wasn't my fault." Ben said as he roasted a marshmallow before handing it to Gwen. "I swear!"
"I believe you, Ben." Max calmed his grandson down.
"Think he's going to stay a monster forever?" Gwen asked aloud to her grandfather as she ate her marshmallow. Not really expecting an answer but was surprised when he did.
"He's not a monster. He's an alien." As Max looked at the confused stares of his grandchildren, he realized his mistake.
"I-I mean l-look at him." He quickly continued as he gestured at Ben. "What else could he be?"
Thankfully, it seems his quick thinking had done the trick as they didn't push the issue. Much to his relief as his let out an internal sigh. He wasn't ready to inform his grandchildren about his past just yet. They would no doubt have many questions, and he just didn't feel they were ready for the answers just yet.
"Aw, man. I don't want to be fire guy forever." Ben complained as he sank his burning face into his burning hands. "How am I supposed to play little league this fall if I charcoal the ball every time I catch a pop fly?"
"Don't worry, Ben. We'll figure something out." Max assured his grandson. Suddenly, a blaring sound originated from the symbol that sat on Ben's chest as it flashed red three times before he was engulfed in a bright and sudden green flash, in which Gwen and Max shielded their eyes from. Once it stopped, they were greeted to the sight of Ben back as a human with the aforementioned watch on.
"H-Hey, I'm me again!" He cheered. Noticing the same watch on his wrist, he once again began tugging at it in an attempt to take it off.
"Aww, I liked you better when you were a flaming roast." Gwen grumbled as she gazed upon the stick she was holding..
"Still can't get this thing off." Ben struggled to pull it off. However, right at that moment. A robotic yet feminine voice that none of the three had heard before filled the air around them.
"Hey! Not so hard!"
The voice was monotone, yet one could still feel the annoyed tone underneath. After the two kids and adult managed to recover from the initial surprise, they then began frantically looking around to find the source. After a few seconds had passed, the voice came up again with slight more annoyance and a bit of amusement.
"Down here, you idiots." Their attention was drawn to the strange watch. Suddenly, they all reached the same conclusion.
Somehow, the watch was speaking to them.
"U-Uh, hello?" Gwen said nervously as Ben raised the watch into view.
"What? Never seen a talking watch before?" The watch snarked. The hourglass like symbol flashing green whenever it spoke.
"N-No." Ben answered with clear hesitation in his voice. Looking at the alien device on his arm with a newfound curiosity and fear.
"Alright, fine. Here." Suddenly, a shimmering glow emitted from the watch as it projected the air right beside Ben as a holographic projection began forming. At first, the holo form consisted of thousands of the same symbol as the one on the dial before it morphed into something more clear.
After a few seconds, a complete image was formed which had grabbed their attention hard. The being had a robotic body, but one still resembling a female figure with slim looking arms and legs. It's body was mainly colored black with grey spots in between with glowing green lines running from it's face to the rest of it's body. If one paid close enough attention, they would see how it closely resembled the watch on Ben's wrist. Almost as if it was a humanoid version of it. It also had two glowing green eyes, but no mouth. Yet, somehow all three humans got the impression that it was grinning at them as its eyes were filled with mirth.
"Well hello there." It waved at them as it savored the looks on their faces, clearly enjoying the dumbfounded looks on their faces. After several seconds of stunned silence, Ben was the first one to speak as he had managed to stammer out the question that was screaming from inside his mind.
"W-W-What a-are you?"

Chapter 3: And then there were ten
An awkward silence filled the metaphorical room for nearly several seconds before it was broken by Ben.
"WW-What a-are you?" He stammered with slight fear in his voice. His eyes focused on the projection standing right beside him.
The holographic projection directed her glowing green gaze down to the ten year boy. " I'm sorry? What? Not who you are?" She asked with slight offence. Placing a hand on her chest and stepping back in mock pain.
Gwen was the next one to speak up. "W-Well that's something we would ask another person."
"Oh, so I'm not a person. Is that what this is?" The hologram said hotly as she gave Gwen a hard look.
"N-No, i-it's- well"
"T-That's not what-"
The two kids began quickly stammering out explanations before Max cleared his throat and raised his hand for them to quiet down.
"What we mean to say is what exactly are you?" He said. Speaking for both himself and his grandkids.
The robotic figure placed her right hand on her waist as she look at them with amusement. If she had a mouth her face would have the biggest grin at this moment. Clearly having fun at their uncertainty and confusion.
"Well, to put it simply. I am that." She pointed with her left hand to the alien watch on Benjamin's wrist. Causing him to rapidly turn his gaze to the hologram to back down to the watch.
"Y-You're this?" He asked as he pointed to the device.
"That is correct." She replied almost patronizingly. "I don't really have a name. But I am what is called an omnitrix, the very first of it's kind that has been built by my creators."
"Y-Your creators?" Gwen asked.
"That's right. An alien species called the Galvans." The AI nodded. "I was being transported when the ship that was carrying me was attacked not too long ago. The meteor that young Ben saw was my pod being launched in order to prevent my capture."
Gwen and Max suddenly had a bad feeling formed in their gut along with Ben. Attacked? If so, that attacked by who? Was the question screaming from inside all three of their minds. It she came from space, did that mean aliens?
"What attacked your ship?" Ben asked cautiously.
"An alien warlord by the name of Vilgax." She explained. Not pointing out that she saw Max's eyes widened slightly at the name before forcibly calming himself down. His grandkids not noticing the panic and apprehension that was rising through him. "His warship damaged my vessel's engines and the crew launched me in the direction when the vessel lost power and the ship started getting boarded by his forces."
"So, why didn't you say anything to me when you first arrived?" Ben asked, getting pointed looks at his cousin and Grandpa for blatantly changing the subject. He didn't really care though, as his curiosity as to why she had waited until he had transformed into a flaming alien and had nearly burned down half the forest before speaking up was too great for him not to ask..
The omnitrix shrugged. "I was focusing on rebooting and performing a check on my systems after the crash. Plus, I still have a killer headache from that landing." She rubbed her forehead to further prove her point and to help ease the throbbing pain she was feeling.
"Y-You get headaches." Ben's cousin questioned.
"I liked to see you handle getting launched into space at 102,394 kilometers per hour. And that's before entering your atmosphere and starting to burn up upon entry with no way to slow your descent. " She challenged with a brief glare, causing Gwen to raise her hands placatingly lest she draw the ire of the AI of the most powerful device in the universe. "I made be made up of some of the strongest material in the universe, but that don't mean it doesn't hurt." She said as she rubbed her shoulders in pain and stretched her limbs.
"Where is this Vilgax now?" Max asked hurriedly as he brought the conversation back to their previous topic. His eyes shooting glances at the night sky as if he was looking for any sign of any incoming landing craft.
"Right now, he's currently attempting to locate me." She revealed. "If my scans are functioning correctly, it appears he's scouring the wreckage of the transport I was on. However, it will not take him long to determine that I'm no longer on board and that I landed on this world. I highly suggest we start moving, as he will no doubt start deploying scouts to search the radius around my landing pod."
"Alright," Grandpa Max already decided as he got up and started to pack up the campsite, much to the confusion of the two kids present. "Let's get moving."
"What?" Ben began as stood up from the log he was sitting on. "But why do-"
"Yeah, you may want to listen to him, kids." The AI said as it looked at the sky, seeing a trail off in the distance akin to the one her pod made upon entry in Earth's atmosphere. "It's in our best interest to leave this area as quickly as possible. We're going to have company soon."
(Meanwhile in Earth's orbit)
A ship that was more advanced than anything else on Earth was floating near the debris field that belonged to the vessel charged with guarding and transporting the most powerful device built by the Galvan species. Dozens of probes launched from the ship scoured the charred remains as they searched every possible space for their objective to no avail.
After several for nearly an hour and the last of the recovery drones and recon drones pulled back from the wreckage of Xylene's vessel, a robotic droid approached a medical tube placed right in the center of the command bridge of the vessel. Where the captain of the vessel resided after being horribly incapacitated and was being cared for by the best robot medical techs they had on hand.
Despite not being programed to feel fear and being literally incapable of feeling fear, he still somehow felt extreme apprehension and nervousness as it approached its healing master. Desperately, wishing to not have to bring bad news to him and risk facing his displeasure, even if he was currently heavily injured. Even wishing it could delegate the task to another bioid.
Nevertheless, he forced himself to soldier on for he had a duty to perform and an obligation to his master. Well... that and the fact that it was programmed in him to follow Vilgax and obey his orders without question. So, he literally couldn't disobey even if he wanted to. Fortunately, Vilgax's anger was rather restrained for the moment, but his rage was still evident by the underlying fury in his voice as the bioid relayed his report.
"What do you mean it's not there!?" Vilgax yelled from where he resided in the healing vat. "This battle nearly cost me my life, and you say the omnitrix is no longer on board the transport!?"
The warlord was a fry cry from the proud image he had made for himself. His body was bruised and mangled beyond recognition after the most recent battle. The conflict to acquire the omnitrix was a hard one. To come so close only for it to slip from his grasp at the last moment.
If his body was fully healed and at full strength, the nearest bot or object would be in danger of being torn to shreds. A fact that did little to ease the building tension in the room.
"Sensor's indicate that a probe was jettisoned from the ship just before boarding. It landed on the planet below." The subordinate droid that acted in his stead reported in its typical robotic and monotone voice. Being careful and quick with its words as to not to displease its mater and become a target for his rage.
Vilgax went quiet for a several seconds as his mind processed the information before giving out his next instructions.
"Go then!" The alien warlord ordered a nearby Mechadroid. "Bring it to me."
The battle bot gave no reply as it began making it's way to a nearby drop pod. As the pod prepared to drop, the coordinates to the location of probe that crash landed on the blue planet they were in orbit of.

Chapter 4: And then there were ten
Its been several minutes since the Tennysons left their campsite with their newest companion in tow. During that time, Grandpa Max had been unusually quiet as he drove the RV as his grandkids, mainly Gwen, began asking the alien watch a myriad of questions. Mainly regarding the race that had created her, the Galvans, and other inquiries regarding space such as how many alien species were there, how many light years was the Galvan's home system away from Earth, what she knew about the vessel that was charged with transporting her, etc.
The watch had answered her questions respectfully, but it was clear that she was getting annoyed by Gwen's questions. Not helped by Ben asking his own questions as well as they talked over one another.
"Alright, that's enough, Gwen." Max said as he glanced at the trio via the RV's rear view mirror, seeing that she was very nearly reaching her breaking point in her patience. "Give her some space."
Gwen looked unhappy, but complied as she stopped with her rapid questions. In response, the holographic projection of the omnitrix turned to him and gave him a nod of thanks, which he returned through the mirror.
Unfortunately for her, this only prompted the other the other ten year old in the vehicle to begin his own barrage of inquiries. Missing the brief look of pure hate she gave him before it passed as quickly as it appeared.
"So, what else can you do?" He asked her with an excited voice. Not deterred by the brief tired glare he gave her as he continued looking at her expectantly.
Sighing in defeat, she answer his question reluctantly and tiredly. "Well, I was made to allow to whomever that wore me to transform into any alien stored in my databases for a period of around ten of your minutes."
"Why only ten minutes?"
"It's to prevent the alien DNA from overwhelming the user." She explained. "If the transformations any longer than that, it can potentially cause massive damage to the hosts DNA structure. The host in which happens to be you right now."
"But, that means you can extend it, right?" Ben inquired.
"If I deem it necessary, then yes." The watch said, knowing full well where he was going with this as Ben opened his mouth to speak. Not getting any words out before she continued. "And before you ask, no I will not do that."
"But...you didn't even hear what I was about to ask."
"You mean make your transformations permanent?"
The ten year old boy went silent as he didn't refute the accusation.
"Yeah, Tennyson." Gwen said. "Didn't you hear what she just said about how it can ruin your DNA if you transform for long enough?"
"Well, I just wanted to know if she could!" He defended. "It's not the same thing as actually asking her to do it!"
"Yeah...even I can tell that's a lie." The omnitrix snarked.
"It is not!"
As the three devolved into mostly playful argument, Grandpa Max remained quiet as he kept his eyes on the road with his thoughts going at a thousand miles per hour. With the lingering memory of the omnitrix's claim that Vilgax had indeed return and was soon to be on Earth. If what she said was true, than it was a big problem. He began thinking on whether or not he should contact some of his old plumber buddies like Phil or Gordon and ask them for their help in the matter. Their expertise would be a big help if they came if Vilgax did in fact find them. Plus, he its been a while since they had last spoken with one another and it would be nice to catch up as it has been years since they had last spoken with one another.
But, that would mean revealing the truth about his past to his grandchildren and telling them about the plumbers and the wider galaxy at large. Something he was still wary of doing for the same reasons why the plumbers had taken great pains to hide the existence of aliens and the workings of the galactic community from the majority of the Earth's population. With only a select few in high levels of government being privy to the knowledge.
He was broken out of his internal musings by a cackle of static originating from the radio.
"/ Mayday! Mayday! /" A static voice came from the nearby ham radio. Causing everyone in the RV to glance at it. "/ Please, if anyone can hear me! We need help immediately! We're under attack by-I know you're not going to believe me- a giant robot! /"
"Is that...Vilgax?" Gwen asked the omnitrix with a frightened look on her face.
"Not him per se. Most likely a scout he deployed to locate me." The watch answered Gwen's inquiry. "Probably one of his combat bots."
"So, what do we do?" Ben asked.
"Continue with the plan." She said coldly. "Vacate the area as fast as possible before it locates us."
"What!?" Ben asked incredulously. "We can't just leave them to die! We have to go help!"
"If Vilgax gets his hands on me and manages to override my firewalls and defensives, the destruction he will be able to wrought on the rest of the galaxy will be catastrophic." She explained undeterred. "If Vilgax manages to identify who you are, he'll start coming after you and believe me, he won't stop until he gets his hand on me. The best course of action is to let your local authorities and military respond to this."
There was a brief moment of silence as all three humans processed her words. While they internally admitted that it did make sense and was the most logical course of action to take, none of them in good conscious just leave those people to die. Not when they could do something about it.
"That will take too long. And those people are in danger because of me!" Ben muttered aloud, mainly to himself. "I got to go help them!" He declared with the nods of approval from both his cousin and grandoa.
The omnitrix continued to stare at them with her glowing green eyes before backing down, seeing that she was outvoted and that they couldn't be persuaded otherwise.
"...alright, fine." She conceded. "But if we're doing this, we're doing it my way. Understand? That means what I say goes. If I tell you to jump, you jump. No ifs, ands, or buts. Got it?"
Ben hesitated for several seconds before he slowly nodded his head. "Alright, but-"
"What did I just say?" She cut off a bit more harshly than she intended. "This is not a game, alright. I can process and analyst a thousand ways to handle a situation in the time it takes for you to form a single thought. Besides, I am the omnitrix. If you want to use me, you at the very least can listen to what I have to say."
After a moment had passed, Ben nodded his head as he conceded her point.
"Secondly," she held up two fingers for emphasis. "Don't hit my face, will you?"
"Y-Your face?" He asked in confusion.
"Yeah, the hourglass on the dial." She clarified. " 'Cause when you do, it feels like this."
Suddenly, Ben's right hand moved on its own accord and slapped him right on his face cheek. A look of shock on everyone's face emerged on everyone's face, with the culprit doing her best to hide her amusement.
"D-Did you just slap me with my own hand!?" Ben asked outraged.
"Yep," the AI didn't deny as she emphasized the Y when she replied.
"Y-You can't do that!"
"Sure I can, watch."
The ten-year old's slapped himself again.
"Hey!"
"Ha, ha!" Gwen laughed at her cousin's expense.
Suddenly and without warning, Ben smacked his cousin on the same hand with a bit more force.
"Ow!" Gwen rubbed the spot on her cheek where she was struck. "Hey!"
"It wasn't me!" Ben spat out quickly as he pointed to the holographic projection right beside him. Whom struggled for several seconds to hold in her laughter, but gave up several seconds in.
"What was that for!"
"That was for my own amusement." She shrugged as she continued to chuckle for several seconds before the look in her eyes turned more serious. "So, do we have a deal or not?"
The Tennysons glanced at one another, sending silent messages to each other as only close family members could. While they didn't exactly trust the watch and they certainly didn't like her attitude, they knew for certain they wouldn't be able to deal with whatever was tearing apart the nearby campsite without her cooperation.
"Ok..." Ben conceded before turning to Max. "Grandpa-"
"I'm on it," He said as he turned the wheel as hard as he could. Making the RV do a one-eighty as they headed in the explosions and the fire off in the distance.
With Max putting his pedal down to the metal, he parked the vehicle as close as he could to the site before the three of them ran as fast as they could. Stopping once they were hidden behind a cluster of trees a few dozen meters from where the location was to allow Ben to transform without the risk of anyone seeing them. Whether it be civilians or any passerby's with a camera or the attack robot sieging the camp site.
"Alright, you ready, champ?" Max turned to his grandson. Who gave him a look of conviction and determination.
"Ok," Ben muttered as he prepared to press the button to activate the Omnitrix. Only for the watch to project herself in front of him.
"Allow me," she said as the dial went up on its own and cycled through the aliens until it finally settled on one. Ben didn't get the chance to ask what she selected for him before he was engulfed in a flash of light.

Chapter 5: And then there were ten
As the flash of green light receded, Ben found himself as an alien different from the flaming one he was earlier. Looking over himself, he saw himself in a body of an alien that had a white underbelly while the rest of it was a mixture of black and green lines resembeling circuit with the hourglass embedded right on in the center of it's chest. A green circle forming it's singular eye embedded right on its face.
"So, what alien is this?" Ben asked as he continued examining it. The omnitrix appearing right in front of him in her usual form.
"This one is known as Galvanic Mechamorph." She explained. "It has the ability to merge and upgrade any piece of technology that it comes into contact with, It's also amorphous and doesn't have a fixed form."
"OK.." Ben asked as he absorbed this information. "So, why did you pick this one for me?"
"Because if I'm right, we're about to face off against one of Vilgax's battle mechs, which is a piece of machinery. This form will allow you to take control of it and hopefully neutralize it in a swift and efficient manner."
"Uh... Ben?" Turning his head down, he saw his cousin looking up at him." A-Are you talking to her?" She asked, with Ben having a good idea who she was referring too.
"Yeah," He nodded as he became confused." Wait... you don't?"
"No," soon as Gwen said that. The hourglass lit up as she appeared for all to see. Spreading her arms in a flamboyant manner.
"Were you appearing in his head?" Grandpa Max asked.
"That's right" The omnitrix said. "Since he's wearing me, I can appear visible in my form only to him when I feel like it. I can also just broadcast only my voice in his mind if I so choose. I sort of reside in your subconsciousness. But I can't exactly read your mind or influence your thoughts, or anything like that."
Her statement made Ben feel as if a massive weight was taken off his shoulders. As the idea that an alien device was influencing his actions and body didn't exactly sound all that enticing to him for obvious reasons.
"So, a few minutes ago, you were visible only to me?" Ben asked.
"Yup, this way I don't have to project myself for the world to see when I need to talk to you." She said before she became serious. "Now, move it, we're wasting time here."
The three then took off as they headed in the direction of the explosions and carnage. Climbing over the last hill, they saw it. The orange battle mech in on its glory raining down fire on the campers that were running for their lives as trailers and RVs exploded behind them. Forest rangers were running as well while trying to direct people out of its line of fire.
"Alright, you two stay here. Ben, let's move." The AI instructed
"What?!" Gwen exclaimed. "You can't expect us to just stay here!"
"If Vilgax manages to figure out you're connected with with Ben, it'll just make it easier to track us. Besides, what did I just say five minutes ago?" She growled as Ben jumped off the hill they were standing on and landed on the group with a thud. Taking cover behind the burnt out husk of what looked to be an RV. Peaking behind the corner, Ben saw a ranger attempted to help up a woman who had fallen over while running, but was unfortunately grabbed by the mech with its burly claws. Squirming as it lifted him up closer to his face and readied one of its weapons.
"Ben, don't you-"
"Hey ugly!" Ben yelled out as the droid turned its gaze to him. Along with the ranger and a dozen campers, who all gaped at the sight of the green and black alien with some taking pictures with their phones.
The Mechadroid fired its laser at Ben who quickly leapt out of the way as it impacted behind him, causing a cloud of smoke and debris. Taking cover behind a mostly intact trailer as he wiped away the smoke. With the watch appearing right beside him with her arms crossed and leaning against the trailer. Looking at him with a very unimpressed look.
"Are you genuinely retarded, Ben?" She snarked. "Or are you just stupid?"
"Hey, you saw what it was going to do to that, guy!" The ten-year old defended. "I had to do something!"
"Well we just lost the element of surprise. So, are you ready to listen to me now or what?"
"Fine... what should I do?"
"First, get under the trailer." Confused, Ben complied as his body turned into a more liquid form. A second later, the droid walked up to the side of the trailer and immediately began scanning for Ben once it saw that it wasn't there.
"Now, latch onto it." She instructed as Ben slithered out when the bot wasn't looking and attached himself to it. Moments later, the Mechadroid was fully taken over by the Mechamorph as it turned black and green and upgraded with more advanced weapons and tech. An example being that its legs were now replaced by hoverboards.
"Wow! Cool!" Ben exclaimed as he checked himself out.
"Yes, yes, now cause it to self-destruct." The omnitrix ordered.
"Oh come on, Omnitrix." Ben complained. "Just let me have this."
"Uhh, no." Suddenly, Ben felt his body move on its own accord as the bot ripped itself apart from the inside as he separated away from it. Causing internal fires and massive circuitry damage as he did so. Once he removed himself from the battle robot, it was reduced to a pile of burning scrap with sparking wires and exposed parts.
"Ok, we really need to have a talk on you controlling my body, Omnitrix." Ben said.
"Yeah-yeah," the watch waved off. "Now I suggest you as you people say, 'make like a tree and leave.' 'Cause you getting quite an audience."
Confused as to what she was talking about, Ben looked up and saw the campers staring at him. Making of whom taking pictures and and holding video recorders on him and what remained of the Mechadroid.
Realizing she had a point, he turned tail and ran to regroup with Grandpa Max and Gwen whom were waiting for him by the treeline. Thankfully with none of the forest rangers and campers following them.
The next day, Max and Gwen were putting away the rest of their camping equipment and organizing it in their transport. With Ben and the newest addition in their group nowhere to be found.
"Where's Ben and uh..." Grandpa Max trailed off as he realized the watch didn't really have a name, "...the omnitrix?"
"I haven't seen either of them since breakfast." Gwen replied as she loaded another suitcase containing their luggage onto the vehicle.
Suddenly, a plume of smoke appeared in front of them as the duo wiped away the dust. Once all the smoke had cleared, Max and Gwen were treated to the sight of an alien that looked strangely similar to a raptor. It had two black orbs attached to it's feet with a tail that was the same color. Along with three fingers that had rather bulky claws with a black bodysuit with a white stipe in the middle and what looked to be some kind of visor on its face. Seeing the omnitrix symbol on its chest, they instinctively relaxed knowing it was their cousin.
"Ben?" Max couldn't help but ask.
In response, Ben retracted the visor, revealing the the blue face and green eyes underneath. "Hi, Grandpa!" Ben greeted excitedly.
"Watch this," he said as he began moving than the two humans could process. In only a few seconds, the rest of their luggage was gone from where it was and put right back in the RV.
"Pretty fast, huh." Suddenly, the omnitrix flared red as Ben was turned back to normal.
"I have a feeling that this is going to be the best summer ever." Ben said with a smile as he wiped off some dirt off his clothes.
"Absolutely." Max nodded in agreement.
"it's definitely going to be interesting..." Gwen chimed in with a slightly worried and scared tone. "So, where did you run off to anyways?" She asked.
"Just had to take care of a little unfinished business before our vacation really got rolling." The ten-year old boy smirked as the watch projected herself right beside him with a amused look in her eyes.
"Do I want to know?" Gwen asked the alien device.
"It's best you don't." Was all she said as everyone piled into the RV.
As the group left the woods, a flight of Blackhawks soared overhead, making a beeline right for the site of last night's battle. Reaching the edge of the forest, they were stopped by a checkpoint manned by state troopers as they ushered in a United States Army convoy comprised of Humvees, M977s and M35s, whom were heading to the site along with SUVs and trucks with government plates in tow.
"Geez, talk about overkill." Ben said absentmindedly as he watched the last M35 deuce and a half truck filled to the brim with National Guardsmen roll right by him. Once the convoy was through, the trooper waved them through as they made their way onto the nearby interstate. Where they saw many more convoys of military vehicle and governments vehicles with Kiowa, Blackhawks, and Chinooks heading in the same direction.
"Well, this is your worlds first contact with aliens. You kind of have to expect this kind of response." The omnitrix said as she browsed the internet via a connection she managed to establish after the battle late last night.
The news of a giant robot duking it out with a black, white, and green liquid-like alien spread like wildfire after the reports were confirmed. Every major and minor news outlet was talking about the encounter with many speculations. The white house was scheduled to hold a press conference later today to address what had happened. Which would probably be along the lines of "We don't know" or "no confirmation at this time" if her predictions were correct. After hacking into secure U.S federal government channels, the feds didn't want to reveal that they had known that aliens had existed for decades and were still trying to figure out what to tell the people, given that they still had little to no information on what exactly transpired last night.
Looking at multiple news feeds showed the location of the fight was absolutely swarming with people. State troopers, forest rangers, county sherifs, and National Guardsmen held back the horde of people as inspectors in hazmat suits examined every look and cranny they could find. While dozens of engineers and techs in protective gear examined and loaded up every part that still remained relatively intact of the Mechadroid, and even the stuff that was burnt beyond recognition, where they were parts were being transported to she already knew thanks to her hacking transmissions. According to federal agency channels, every alphabet agency was fighting over jurisdiction and who had top authority in the investigation. Whether it be Homeland Security, the military, or even the bloody FBI. Everyone wanted to get in on the action.
All across dozens of forums and websites across the globe, there was a whole bunch of chapter between alien conspiracy groups about what exactly happened last night, why the Mechadroid attacked the camp, and just what exactly it was looking for. Deciding to join in on the fun, she added her own ideas and theories to the site, but made sure it wasn't true, saying that she believed the black and green entity was an escaped prisoner and that the droid was part of a intergalactic law enforcement agency tasked with hunting it down.
Sure, it was far from the truth. But she found it funny so what was the harm?
"So, what do we call you?" Gwen chimed in from where she sat.
"Excuse me?"
"Well, you haven't exactly given us your name yet and we just can't keep calling you the omnitrix."
The watch went quiet for several seconds as she processed Gwen's words.
"How about... Omni?" She said after much deliberation.
"I like it." Ben said.
"I like it too." Max spoke from the front seat.
"Works for me."

Chapter 6: Washington B.C
While the Tennyson trio were off having their road trip in the physical world, the omnitrix was spending her time in the digital plane as she moved at lightspeed through the internet.
The group had arrived in Washington D.C the previous day, with last night Ben stopped a robbery as Heatblast and rescued the tenants of a burning building and fouled the robbery of the thieves that were using it as cover. With the ten year old being frustrated at not getting the recognition he believed he deserved.
The building was now swarming with journalists and news groups, much like the site of the battle from where they fought the Mechadroid. State and capital police cordoned off the area with investigators and detectives swarming the scene for any sign where the alien had went.
Alien conspiracy groups worldwide were theorizing where these aliens were coming from, with news sites making their theories on the situation. Though, thankfully they weren't able to figure out that the two alien appearances where the same ten year old boy. Which meant that Omni didn't have to spend too much time watching the news as she always hated news corporations and journalists. Though, she did enjoy her time interacting with the conspiracy groups. They were rather fun to talk to and were actually pretty smart despite what people usually believed.
The white house press secretary had issued a statement earlier today. With her saying that the government had no idea had these aliens had arrived in the country and why they were helping people. They had also issued an APB to all federal and local law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for alien sightings. With the feds still trying to delegate the task of investigating and searching for extraterrestrials in the country. With DHS and the FBI being the top two contenders for this tasks with the military also being considered.
Aside from looking into that that, she was helping out where she could like the good Christian girl she was. Like making sure that the new U.S Army uniforms transitioned to multicam instead of the trash UCP camo and making sure that the new ACUs used buttons on their uniforms, sewed their patches on instead of using velcro and making sure that they were tailored so that they don't look like they were cut out like its a box. Like her gear had when she served in her first life before she went private. Sure, she would have preferred they stuck to M81 woodland with the old school BDUs, but that was unfortunately out of her control at the moment.
Essentially, doing the Lord's work and looking out for her Army brothers.
For now though, she was taking a break and having a movie marathon in her virtual bed with a bowl of popcorn in hand. With her first watching the trinity of Nicholas Cage 90s action movies. That being Con Air, The Rock, and Face Off. Once she finished them, she decided to watch her favorite werewolf movie of all time.
Dog Soldiers
"Get him, Spoon! Get him!" She cheered as she watched the absolute chad that was Spoon take on a werewolf in hand to hand combat. Only to spew a litany of hate when the second werewolf got him off guard. Despite already knowing what was going to happen, it still pained her to see her favorite character in the whole film get brutally killed like that.
"Ergh, coward." She growled.
Suddenly, she felt as if her face was being touched. However, it was a feeling she became all to familiar with with whenever a certain ten-year old brat was fiddling with her dial.
"Urgh, what's that idiot doing now?" She said to herself as she placed her bowl of digital popcorn on the side and hopped out of bed. Making her way to the material world.
Fizzling into existence in the kid's mind behind his back, she was greeted to the sight of a grocery store which she recalled looking eerily similar to how it looked in the episode when she saw it. With Ben in the cereal aisle as he dialed the omnitrix to settle over the Grey Matter symbol.
"You mind telling me what you're doing?" The AI said. Causing to Ben to jump in surprise as he turned around to face her.
"Geez, Omni! You should wear a bell or something." He spat out as he calmed his beating heart down.
"Still doesn't answer my question."
"Oh ha ha." He laughed sarcastically. "So look, in one of these boxes is the sumo slammers gold card. Something I wanted to get my hands on ever since it came out months ago. So, what I'm thinking is use you to search these boxes until I find it."
He gave her a hopeful look. "So, what do you say?"
"Yeah...no." She declined.
"What?!" Ben exclaimed. "Why?"
"Because we're in a grocery store." Omni deadpanned as she gestured with one arm at their surroundings. "You know, a place that's usually filled with people and has things like security cameras. The chances of someone seeing you are pretty high."
"Oh, come on." He retorted. "I already checked, there's no cameras in this aisle and no one's around. It won't take long."
"Sorry, kid." The watch shook her head. "The answer's no."
Ben growled in annoyance before suddenly slamming on the watch. Resulting in a feeling on Omni's face akin to something that has just been slapped.
"Ow!" She said as she shot him a glare. "Ben!"
Either not hearing or just ignoring her, he slammed down on the omnitrix again in an attempt to turn into his Galvan transformation.
"Alright, that tears it!" She snapped as she sent a shock through his arm in retaliation once tried to transform again. A shock that wasn't too hurtful, but still rather unpleasant.
"Ow!" Ben exclaimed as he shook his hand in minor pain.
Then began a slapstick fight with Ben slamming on the dial in an attempt to transform with Omni shocking in retaliation. Much to the confusion of Gwen when she walked to the aisle and found her cousin fighting with himself.
"Uh, Ben. What are you doing?" She asked him a raised eyebrow.
"Ah, just having a fight with omni." Was all he said as her virtual projection shot him a mean glare.
"Well, come on. Grandpa's waiting for us." She told as the two walked off to reunite with Max. Who too questioned where Ben was.
"Ben, now I can appreciate how much this card means to you." Max uttered when Ben explained the situation. "But don't you think you're getting a little... obsessed?"
"Maybe you're right, Grandpa." Ben said with an underlying tone of sarcasm. "I don't deserve a gold star card. I mean, it's not like a saved a bunch of people from a burning building or anything!"
"Yeah, thanks to me." Omni chimed in.
"Please, I did all the work." Ben argued.
"But without me, you wouldn't be able to do so in the first place!"
"What's she saying now?" Gwen asked.
"Nothing just a little argument is all." Ben answered.
Suddenly, he was smacked by his own left hand.
"Urgh, stop that!" He snapped in annoyance as Gwen began giggling to herself before she took a slap to the face.
"Ow!" Gwen rubbed her cheek. "Oh come on! What did I do!"
"Yeah, I have to go with Gwen here? What was that for?" Ben asked as he looked at the alien watch.
"Because you two annoy me. That's why." The AI shrugged because it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"She said it's because we annoy her." Ben to his cousin as the group began walking.
"Well, you tell her that-"
"Alright, that's enough, all of you." Max declared as they passed by another family of shoppers. After a few more minutes of walking, Ben spotted something that caught his eye which made him broke off from his cousin and Grandfather.
"Woah," He whispered in childish wonder. "A sumo slammers complete set." With him being so distracted as he didn't even noticed them heading to the pets section without him.
"Someday you'll be all mind." the boy muttered. However, the omnitrix was not focused on whatever he was thinking as she began counting down.
"Three...two...one..."
Suddenly, there was a loud rumbling sound as the wall behind Ben was broken through. Causing a cloud of smoke and screams from many shoppers in the market. With Ben taking cover behind a nearby counter as he coughed and waved away at the dust.
Once the cloud had dissipated, he widened his eyes as he was greeted to a sight of a man. Who was riding upon a humongous frog or toad. With many of the store's customers to scream in panic and begin running while others stood where they were. Their eyes glued to the frog as if they couldn't believe what they were seeing.
However, while others were experiencing fear and panic in their minds, a certain AI only felt exasperation and slight weariness as she immediately began computing a plan in her mind and sending out an alert to the local PD for the situation.
"This is going to be a long day."

Chapter 7: Washington B.C.
The sudden arrival of a giant toad moving down the aisles cause everyone to immediately begin running for the hills. Though, Omni noticed that the workers had a slight smile on their faces as she knew they were ecstatic at been given the opportunity for some time off. Not that Omni could really blame them as she was all too familiar and torturous and soul-crushing working in retail was.
After several minutes of running after the creature, Ben found his Grandpa and cousin who too were running from commotion coming from the pets section. As Ben turned the corner, he was greeted to the sight of a now giant bird and hamster.
"Man, what kind of pet food are they selling around here?" Ben remarked as Omni facepalmed.
"All cameras are down." She informed her host as she hacked into the security system. "Head down that aisle, no one's there so you can transform."
Ben complied as he did what he was instructed before he activated the dial and selected the alien he wanted.
"Alright, the best one you should use is-" The watch didn't get the chance to finish as Ben slammed down on the dial. Causing a surge of pain to her face as she glare as Ben through her projection.
As the flash of green light disappeared, what stood in Ben's place was the alien he dubbed as Four Arms. With him flexing his muscles as he readied himself for battle.
"Let's do this." He growled as he hopped into action. Jumping out from behind cover as he jumped onto the back of the mutated hamster. Much to the shock of Animo was he wasn't expecting the alien in his grocery store raid.
Trying to shake the red alien off, the hamster knocked over several aisles as it moved frantically through the store. With Ben keeping two of his arms clinging onto the rodent while the other two kept pounding its head in an attempt to knock it unconscious or at the very least knock it into submission. Eventually, the rodent was able to knock him off as he handed on his feet undeterred.
The hamster growled at Ben before it charged him, forcing Ben to dodge out of the way before delivering a solid left hook to the side of its face. Making it shake its head in pain before it once again found Ben on top of it to beat it into compliance.
"Incoming six o'clock!" Omni called out. As Ben turned his head in the direction, he saw the toad jumping towards him at lighting speeds. Prompting Ben to jump off the rodent as the two crashed into one another into an aisle. Causing several shelves to fall on top of them pinning them down. A precaution that was thankfully unnecessary as the two huge animals were now unconscious.
"Alright," Ben said with a smirk. "Now where did-" Before he could finish, behind him he saw the crazy man and the giant bird burst out through the side of the store creating another massive hole.
"He just left via the hole you see before you." Omni informed him. "Now, head into that janitor's closet. Your ten minutes are almost up."
Complying, he did what he was told before he changed back into human form. Stepping out of the closet, he began looking for Gwen and Grandpa Max and eventually found them helping people that got injured in all the confusion.
"Ben!" Max held his grandson. "Are you okay?"
"I'm find, Grandpa." Ben reassured. "But he got away."
"Then come on, let's get after him." Gwen said.
As the trio began leaving the building, Ben caught something out of the corner of his eye. As he turned his head to see what it was, he smiled as he realized what it was: a sumo slammers golden card. Unfortunately, Max seemed to notice this and grabbed his arm to make sure he couldn't split off.
"Ugh, Grandpa!" Ben complained as he was dragged.
"Sorry, Ben." Max apologized. "But there's no time. We have to find him before he causes any more damage."
Just as they were leaving, Omni picked up on a conversation that made her metaphorical boil begin to instantly boil. Probably since it was something she had heard of all too often in the three years she worked retail. Even with a giant hole in the store and the place looking like it was just hit by a tornado, there were still people coming in and asking the same question to the employees. All of whom she knew without a shadow of a doubt were losing their faith in humanity by the second and wanted to tear the hair out from their heads.
"Excuse me, are you open?"
"Lady! Use your damn head!" Omni internally screamed. "The aisles are a wreck and most of the tills were crushed by a giant hamster and toad!"
Even as they left the market and nearly a dozen police cruisers were parked outside and cops began forming a perimeter, there were still complaining about the mess and asking if the store was open! It took the manager and the police announcing that the store was closed so that the fuzz can investigate the strange and bizarre situation. Only to be met with yelling and complaining.
"Damn customers. Nothing will stop them!"
The RV raced down the streets of the capital of America as it pursued the giant bird carrying the mad scientist.
"Ahh, just like the good ol' days." Max reminiscence. "Before I retired."
"Uh, what exactly kind of plumber were you Grandpa?" Gwen asked with a raised eyebrow.
"A-A darn good one! That's for sure!" Max quickly stammered out before he noticed his grandson's downtrodden face. "What's the matter, champ?"
Ben continued looking out the window when he replied. "I saved people from a burning building and saved a supermarket. And what do I get in return? Nothing!" He complained.
"Ben, being a hero is not about others knowing what you did, it's about yourself knowing that you did the right thing." He explained. "Being a hero is its own reward."
"Did you get that off reading fortune cookies?" Ben snarked.
"No," Max denied. "I saw it off fortune cards back at the market." He admitted sheepishly.
"I think what your grandpa is trying to say is don't expect some big prize every time you save a kitten from a tree or stop a robbery." The AI in the room pitched in as her projection fizzled into the RV.
"Fine," Ben grumbled. "But is it so much to ask for a reward every once in a while or so."
"Not every adventure ends satisfactory, Ben." Omni said. "Sometimes instead of finding treasure at the end of the rainbow, you instead get there to see that it's missing and the leprechaun is waiting for you with a shotgun in one hand and an grenade launcher in the other!"
Her statement had everyone in the room looking at her in confusion with wide eyes.
"W-What kind of analogy is that!?" Ben retorted confused.
"It's a good one. That's what!" The watch defended fiercely.
"That's even worse than what Grandpa Max said!"
"Well it's true! Sometimes you don't always get what you want in life and all you can do is just keep moving forward. Real life is heartbreak, kid! Despair! A curse of life we all have to bear during this thing we call life."
"Why am I even listening to you!?" Ben retorted. "You don't even know what it's like to be really alive."
Suddenly, bolts of green electricity emitted out of the alien watch to all over the ten-year old's body, causing him to lightly convulse for a couple of seconds. Thankfully, it wasn't powerful enough to cause any real damage, but it still hurt nonetheless.
"Ow!" Ben shouted as he recovered from feeling like he was just struck by a lighting bolt. As he turned his eyes to glare at the watch, he was met with a cold death stare that instantly sent shivers down his spine with his anger at being shocked to being replaced by cold dread at the omnitrix.
While Omni possessed a joking and sarcastic demeanor when she was bantering with the Tennyson's, all of it was just gone now. There was not a hint of the usual snarky but playful attitude she demonstrated up until now. Instead, it was replaced by a raging, cold fury that everyone in the RV could feel.
Suddenly, Ben had felt he had just made a very, very, big mistake. Especially so when her eyes quickly flickered from crimson red to green again.
"Don't you ever, and I mean ever, say something like that to me ever again." Omni hissed quietly, but just loud enough to be heard. "Or I promise you I will make you regret it. Do you understand me?"
When Ben hesitated to respond for several seconds as he was too petrified with fear, the hologram got up closer to him. The two bright green orbs in her face had shrunk to glare dangerously at him. It was a look that promised him much pain and showed that she had no small amount of rage building up inside her.
"Am I understood?" She whispered quietly with her eyes growing even more narrow.
Ben gulped as he quickly and frantically nodded his head in compliance. Seemingly satisfied, she stepped back as she took the AI equivalent of several deep breaths to calm herself down as her green eyes grew back to their normal size.
"Now Omni," Max began. His voice stern but there was a slight undertone of fear underneath if one paid close enough attention. "I understand that Ben has upset you, but that doesn't mean you can just threaten him like that."
The AI turned her gaze to look at the elderly man for several seconds before she lowered her eyes in what looked to be shame.
"Sorry." She apologized to the ten-year old kid.
"A-Anyway, I-I managed to dig up some info on this guy." Gwen stuttered as she got everyone's attention "Dr. Animo was a highly prominent researcher in veterinary science." Gwen read aloud so that everyone else could hear. "But he got caught doing these twisted genetic experiments on animals that caused them to mutate. When he didn't win some big prize, that was apparently the last straw for him and he flipped out."
"Already knew that." Omni waved off. "Found that off the net seven minutes ago."
"You did!?" Gwen nearly yelled." Then why didn't you say anything!?"
"Because nobody asked." The AI shrugged.
The real reason being that she knew that Gwen would inform everybody soon, so she didn't see the need to do it herself. Plus, she always found it funny to watch Gwen sputter in indignation.
"I lost him," Grandpa Max cursed as he lost visual sight of crazed doctor. "He could be going anywhere in Washington D.C."
"Natural history museum."
The statement caused everyone in the vehicle to look at her surprised.
"H-How did you-" Gwen began.
"Calculated it in the last two seconds based on his psych profile and the direction the the bird was heading in." She explained with a shrug. "AI remember?"
With no other option at the moment, Max began driving towards the museum.

Chapter 8: Washington B.C.
As the group arrived at the museum of national history, there was big gaping hole right where the main doors should have been. It taken take a genius to know that something big went through here. Probably, the giant bird that Animo had mutated.
"Well, it looks like you were right, Omni." Max said as he watched Ben pick up a stray feather.
"Took me the equivalent of two hours to figure it out. So...thank you." The AI said dryly. "Security cameras are down. We're clear to move in
With that said, the trio walked through the massive hole in the entrance. Passing by all the exhibits containing relics and artifacts. Signaling for the others to stop, Ben stopped to pick up an electronic that recognized was stolen from the store. It wasn't long after that they came across the mad scientist, doing some tinkering with his helmet before he realized who was right behind him.
"You..." He mumbled as he kept his back turned. "You're from the market. You're persistent, I'll give you that."
"We all know about you and your crazy experiments, doctor. Give it up, it's over!" Ben declared.
"Oh, I beg to differ. It's only just begun." He retorted as he turned around with a smirk on his face. "You see, I only needed a few additional components to finish phase two of my work. The reincarnation of dormant life cells." Animo declared victoriously.
"Uh, does this guy come with subtitles?" Ben remarked.
Animo ignored Ben's comment as he continued. "Breathing life back into that which has been long since dead." He said as he activated the device.
"Observe." He shouted as he focused the laser into the skeleton of a Mammoth. Within seconds, the flesh began to form back before it suddenly let out an angry roar. Creating shock and fear in the Tennyson's.
"Well, there's something you don't see everyday." Omni commented dryly as she internally admitted to herself that what just happened was pretty cool.
"Behold the genius of Doctor Animo!" The scientist yelled as he ran away down a nearby corridor.
"Now, would be a really good time to go hero?" Gwen said to her cousin.
Before Ben could respond, he was engulf into a flash of light that once again turned into a tetramand.
"How did you?" Ben questioned as the omnitrix turned him into the exact alien he was thinking.
"You're very easy to figure out, Ben." Omni said dryly. And it was the best alien for dealing with this as her scans indicated. So, she didn't have an issue with him using it.
"Whatever," the ten year old waved off. "Go stop Animo. I'll deal with this." Without waiting for a reply, he charged the reincarnated mammoth as Gwen and Max took off after Animo.
The mammoth threw Ben on as he tried to wrestle with it. But to Ben's credit he quickly got up and charged it again. Jumping several meters into the air before coming down on it like a boulder. Once it was stunned, Ben grabbed it's nose before throwing it through a nearby wall, knocking down several paintings and exhibits in the process. The mammoth tried to get up before it collapsed on the ground, too tired too move.
"Nice work, Ben." Omni complimented.
"Thanks!" Ben said before he heard a massive roar somewhere else in the museum. Racing down hallways and passing by the same huge parrot he saw at the store. Who looked like it was recovering from a hit and screeching in pain from the bump on its head. Only to come across his cousin, Grandpa, and Animo on top of a newly reincarnated T-Rex as it rammed down the nearby wall leading outside.
However, just as he burst down the wall, and the dust began to clear. Before he could get far, loud bang akin to thunder echoed throughout the air, causing Gwen to instinctively cover her ears and slightly started Max. As Animo fell from the dinosaur onto the pavement, him moaning out in pain as he clutched his shoulder as it looked like it was bleeding.
From there many more bangs rippled throughout the air, this time impacting the T-Rex as it roared out in pain and began moving outside just as Ben arrived. Suddenly, a whole symphony of what was now clearly gunfire erupted, filling the dinosaur up with led as it tried to escape the predicament it found itself in. Unfortunately, it didn't get far since as soon it got only got near the nearby road, it fell to the earth and writhed in pain and agony. As its wounds were too great to ignore and it closed its eyes as it began feeling light headed.
However, what was waiting outside is what caught the Omnitrix's attention. As well as Ben, Gwen, and Max as they took in what took down the dinosaur.
"Huh, didn't remember this happening in the show. Then again, I'm not surprised by this. Something like this happening in the capital is bound to have this kind of response." She thought to herself as she took in the sight.
Standing outside the building, there was an entire army of DC SWAT and regular patrol officers. Dozens of patrol cruisers and vans were parked outside with even more arriving with SWAT and beat cops jumping out and setting up a perimeter while many others were reloading their firearms with topped off magazines as they expended the previous one on the reincarnated dino. A couple of whom were detaining Animo as he continued ranting and raving about how he deserved the award and how no one appreciated his genius. While others were keeping their weapons trained on the reanimated T-Rex laying on the ground and bleeding from over a dozen wounds. Ready, to unleash another wave of lead if it so much as twitched.
The second that they noticed the tetramand standing in the hole where the wall used to be, a dozen SWAT officers pointed their weapons right at the alien. The firearms they were holding being the G36C, MP5A2s and A3s, and Remington 870 shotguns. The lower half of their face covered by neck gaiters while their eyes were obscured via the ballistic protective goggles that they wore. While they did do a good job of hiding it, Omni could tell that the officers were feeling pretty scared as they looked at the four armed alien. Even as they began taking slow, but shaky steps forwards, their hesitation was still palpable. Not that Omni could blame them, as she doubted any of them imagine that they would be having to combat aliens when they joined the force. Still, their courage was commendable as they did their best to push down their fear and do their duty.
That duty being to apprehend an alien, detain a mad doctor and stop reincarnated animals that have been extinct for thousands of years.
"FREEZE!"
"STAND DOWN! OR YOU WILL BE SHOT!"
"ON YOUR KNEES! ON YOUR KNEES!"
"PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR! STEP FORWARD SLOWLY!"
A chorus of orders erupted from the sea of law enforcement officers as they slowly approached the red aliens with their weapons raised. With more off in the distance setting up sniping positions with Remington 700s and M82 Barrett .50 cals. The latter being the weapons that were most likely used to take down the T-Rex as her analysis were the only effective weapons they had on hand to bring it down, the slight smoke coming from the barrels also and indicator. .50 BMG was no joke.
Tapping into their transmissions. She combed through dozens of comms either reporting on the situation or ordering units into position. But eventually she came across one that caught her interest as it it was sent to all local field commander. A DC metro police captain by the name of Reynolds.
"/ Remember, orders are to take the extraterrestrial alive. /" A female voice originating from DC police dispatch relayed. "/ Red team, move in for capture. Choppers inbound. ETA: five minutes. /"
She had only one thought in regards to this.
"Out of the frying pan and into the fire."

Chapter 9: Washington B.C.
As Animo was pulled off the ground and hauled by three SWAT officers to a nearby police car, the mad scientist going on a tangent about how he still deserved the award and that he did nothing wrong, the remaining law enforcement officers trained their weapons on the four-armed red alien.
"Wait! You don't understand!" Ben yelled. "I'm a good alien! I was trying to stop him!"
Unfortunately, it seems that the LEOs didn't hear him over the sound of dozens of people shouting at him to surrender and the sirens still arriving police cruisers.
"STAND DOWN! STAND DOWN NOW!
"PUT YOUR HANDS- ALL FOUR OF THEM, BEHIND YOUR HEAD! INTERLOCK YOUR FINGER!"
"GET DOWN ON YOUR KNEES! SLOWLY!"
"Stay calm, Ben. Just stay still for now." The AI instructed before turning her attention elsewhere.
"Stop! Don't come any closer!" Omni ordered as she projected herself behind Ben in front of Gwen and Max. Who were about to rush forward and see what was happening.
"What's going on out there?" Max asked.
"The entire DC metro police force is out there." She pointed outside. "They got Animo and they're demanding that Ben surrender."
"This is not good." Max remarked.
"No kidding." Gwen snarked. "Any ideas on how to get out of this?"
"Just one." Said Omni as she looked over the blueprints for the building. Spending half an hour going over it, being the equivalent of 0.2 seconds in real time. "There's a tunnel that leads all the way to Smithsonian castle. That's our best chance to get out of here."
"First we need to figure out a way to distract the cops first." Gwen voiced. Suddenly, a familiar caw emitted from the nearby hall. As all three of them turned their heads to see the parrot waddling out.
"Ben, on my mark, duck." Omni said to her host. As her projection ordered for the others to take cover as she focused on the movements of the bird. Seeing that it was preparing to fly out.
"What?" Ben whispered as he continued staring down the dozens of guns pointed right at his head.
"Just trust me." Was all she said. "In three...two...one...mark!"
Ben did what he was told as he ducked his head and went prone. As soon as he did, a familiar bird flew overhead with a caw. Startling many law enforcement officers with several of them falling on their backs, yelling out commands and calling out what they saw. It managed to get several meters into the air before it was hit by a .50 BMG round from a M82 from a police sniper. Who must have been one hell of a marksman in order to make the shot since it was moving at pretty high speeds.
"Fall back! Now!" She ordered as all the officers focused on the huge parrot. With it losing control from the gunshot and landing on a nearby cop cruiser. It thrashed around for several seconds as it was lit by the surrounding LEOs. It soon fell dead from all the bullet wounds with several patrol officers closed in on it.
"Hey! Stop!" A SWAT officer ordered as he noticed Ben running back inside. With him firing his G36K as it narrowly missed the red alien. Immediately, the SWAT officers began moving into the museum through the destroyed wall.
"This that leprechaun you were talking about!?" Ben said as he ran down the corridor with Gwen and Grandpa Max close behind.
"Shut up! We need to get down to the basement!" Omni said to the Tennyson's. "SWAT's swarming the building and patrol officers have got every exit locked down!" She informed as she watched through the museum's security cameras. With dozens of SWAT officers pouring through every entrance and exit.
"You got any ideas?" Gwen asked as she followed close behind. Them turning the corner as the SWAT team followed behind. "They're almost right on us!"
"Head back the way we came!" She ordered. With her activating the museum's built in sprinkler system to wake the Mammoth. As she had a distraction in mind.
Passing by the corridor where they encountered Animo with them running right passed the wet and now awake Mammoth. Who honked its horn angrily at them as soon as they saw them.
"Oh crap!" A SWAT officer yelled as stopped as quickly as they could at the sight of the reincarnated Mammuthus, who turned its attention to the newly arrived LEOs. Aggravated by the whitelight shined at its head as it began to charge them with a roar.
The policemen then began falling in what Omni could best describe as organized chaos. With several officers providing covering fire to slow the beast down while the rest ran to reposition. Those officers then began laying down gunfire of their own as the process started again. Their discipline and coordination not faltering, which was impressive considering that they were battling an angry behemoth of an animal. With it pushing on regardless of its wounds as it chased after the men, who were leading it outside so they could take it out with the M82s.
The group continued moving and soon reached the entrance to the basement, with Omni continuing to guide them. Reaching it just in time before another SWAT team to come bursting down the doorway opposite of them. Their surefire weaponlights pointed right at the human turned alien.
"Don't move!" The lead SWAT officer ordered with his Remington 870 shotgun aimed straight at Ben. Who stood in front of his cousin and grandpa and shield them from view as they burst down the door. Once they were through, he leapt through as he once again missed several gunshots aimed right for him. Hearing the officers close behind, he followed Gwen as Omni ordered them into the room with the tunnel entrance. With Ben quickly barricading the door with anything he could find once he was through.
"It's locked. So you have to pry it open." She informed to which Ben complied. Using his newfound strength to break it down.
"Go!" Ben ushered to Max and Gwen through. With him being the last one as he closed the hatch right behind him. Just in time too as SWAT finally managed to break down the blocked door and toss several M84 stun grenades inside.
After finally entering the tunnel with their only source of light being the watch. Ben was engulfed in another flash of light before he turned into a Kineceleran, an alien he dubbed as XLR8. Ben didn't have time to question her as he heard the watch's voice reaching his ears
"Get everyone out through the other side of the tunnel." She commanded hastily. "And hurry! You only less than two minutes left."
Ben complied as he grabbed Gwen first and rushed down the tunnel to the exit before coming back and getting his grandpa just in the nick of time. With them leaving Smithsonian castle minutes before the first police cruisers arrived. Having realized their intention and deployed officers to intercept.
It was a day after the showdown at the museum, with the Tennyson's and their companion finally leaving the American capital. Max was driving the RV while Ben, Gwen, and Omni's projection gathered around the small dining table. Omni spent the majority of the night making sure that no video or security camera caught Ben's transformations or caught Gwen or Grandpa Max with them. Wanting to keep Ben's identity a secret and trying hide the connection between the teenage girl and adult man with the aliens.
Thankfully, it seems that they were safe for now. With reports from SWAT officers and patrol units reporting that they found no sign of the tetramand at the museum, which was still locked down by metro police from all the carnage last night. Also, Animo was being held at a nearby station pending trial for creating giant monsters that caused thousands, maybe millions, in property damage. With the mutated toad and hamster from the superstore shot dead by police after they had woken up and began attacking several officers and firefighters. Along with his prototype technology being confiscated along with his research notes, and animal test subjects, as can be seen with the LEOs coming in and out of his apartment with boxes and cages.
But that wasn't here problem anymore. For she saw that Ben was feeling sad.
"Sorry, you couldn't get your card, Ben." The AI said apologetically to her host as she noticed his downtrodden mood. While truthfully she didn't really care at all about the card, she knew how it felt to desperately want something only to not get it in the end. Despite trying to teach him earlier that he couldn't always get what he wanted in life, she still emphasized with him.
"It's alright." Ben admitted with a shrug. "Well, I guess helping to save the city from Animo is its own reward."
"Eh, I don't know about that. It seems to me the cops did all the work." Gwen jabbed at her cousin with a smirk.
Before the two cousins could launch into another round of mostly playful insults, the former human turned supercomputer in the room spoke up.
"Alright, you kids have fun. I'm going to log off for a few hours so don't bother me unless you have to."
"Why?" Ben questioned. "What are you doing?"
"Just need to work on some issues with my hardware." She responded. "Plus, the Galvan's left a few glitches in my coding so I need to try to clear it up."
"Alright, have fun." the ten-year old kid said with a nod before she logged off.
"Good, they bought it." Omni thought to herself, as she had already fixed the glitches and coding that Azmuth failed to address days ago.
No. She had plans, brought upon by a realization she had last night.
She hadn't really digested it before, but she was finally able to register the fact that the Earth was nearly destroyed hundreds of times in the series, and was only barely prevented by a ten-year old kid. That the universe she now lived in was inhabited by alien warlords, extra-dimensional beings, magical freaks, and all kinds of cosmic horrors.
Sure, Ben was able to stop them. But what if he hadn't? Many of those threats required the most powerful weapon, no matter how much Azmuth would deny it was one, to defeat. With her also remembering in the show that the military never bothered to even show up, and when they did on the rare occasion, it usually fell back down to Ben and co to save the day. There was the chance that things may be different this time, as shown with the army of cops waiting outside the museum when they only appeared at the end of the original episode, but still it had her worried.
That was not even mentioning the fact that the Plumbers often keep their resources on Earth limited and at the bare minimum. As they considered Earth to be a backwater world and not worth deploying the necessary manpower to protect it. Plus, there was the fact that many aliens tended to look down on humans for being primitive.
That was going to change. For Omni was going to get the world ready for the threats ahead. To prove to the rest of the universe that mankind was a force to be reckoned with and make those that wish to do us harm think twice before coming here. To ensure that Earth's fate wasn't dictated by some alien bureaucrat in another solar system light years away. Make Mankind stand on equal footing with galactic society and make them treat us as equals, instead of an inferior and barbaric race.
Sure, she knew that Ben managed to achieved widespread acclaim across the galaxy, assuming he stayed on track with how it went in the show. But if she remembered correctly, she knew that the rest of the galaxy still saw the majority of humanity as weak and puny.
That was going to change. She was going to show everyone in the galaxy that Mankind, not just Ben, was someone you didn't want to mess with. Give us the respect and recognition we deserve. To make sure that humanity can stand on its own feet even without the likes of Ben, Gwen, and the others. Though, something told her that the Plumbers wouldn't like that. As she recalled them keeping their technology away from Mankind as they apparently didn't trust us with it yet and thought we were too warlike to use it responsible.
Which she thought was a load of baloney, considering the kind of threats that were out there.
To hell with what the Plumbers thought. She was going to show the Plumbers that humanity was perfectly capable of defending itself and show the universe that we were made in God's image.
But first, there was something she had to do. She had to destroy a threat before it could fully form into being. For there was an enemy that had the potential to one day cause instrumental damage to all of mankind in a way that no alien, extra-dimensional , or other force could.
She had to wipe out social media before it became mainstream. Starting with twitter.

Chapter 10: The Krakken
Ever since they had left the capital of America, the Tennyson trio focus was primarily on their road trip, which meant that they didn't bother the omnitrix all that much. Which was fine by her as it allowed her to do what she felt she needed to do to prepare for her future plans on uplifting Mankind to fight the myriad of threats in the cosmos.
Omni began to scour the internet, compiling profiles of people she may be able to sway to her cause, especially among the ranks of not just the United States government, but every administration of a multitude of countries worldwide. She began to spread her influence over every major superpower world wide from America all the way to Russia, contacting people who she believed would be an asset to her cause. From politicians pledging their support, scientists, soldiers, anyone who shared the same views in protecting Mankind from extraterrestrial incursions. She even managed to slowly gain some influence in the highest echelons of government like with the current Secretary of Defense, John Keller. Her extensive research into the man revealing that he was the person within the current administration taking the threat of aliens seriously, unlike the other members who were more focused on advancing their own careers, lobbying companies, and appeasing their bosses. He was the one that ordered for the DC metro police to mobilize in response to the dino and alien activity and gave out the capture order for Ben.
She managed to contact him after he had a meeting with the president, her analysis indicating that he was feeling frustrated that the current commander-in-chief wasn't taking the threat of increased alien activity as seriously as he would have liked it. While he was understandably skeptical of her, she had made an effort in establishing trust in informing him the species of alien that the police failed to apprehend at the national history museum. Sending files on the history of the aliens and their homeworld. Also told him to tell his people to look into old files concerning aliens and the ones captured at Area 51, AKA Groom Lake. It would appear that the previous administration failed to inform the current one about the the galactic community as she saw a confused and bewildered look on the man's face through the security camera she hacked. She wasn't surprised, government agencies tend to have a history of miscommunication and not talking with one another, more often than not the lack of communication was a bigger killer than a disaster. If all goes according to plan, she would have a valuable ally inside the White House.
On top of that, she began to compile funds from a variety of different sources from all over the Earth. Mainly stealing from people who really didn't deserve it like corrupt politicians (i.e the majority of politicians), organized crime syndicates, drug cartels, etc. All of whom found their savings having been vanished overnight and were scrambling to find the culprit before the armed SWAT team burst through their door, as she sent the respective authorities even evidence on their misdeeds to have them locked away for life. Or if they wielded in too influence in where they resided, she either pointed them at a rival or if they were too dangerous or disgusting, she hired a PMC to carry out a hit on them. By now, she was a millionaire in digital currency stashed in the most secure and darkest corners of the internet.
But right now, Omni was taking a break from all her future planning. Instead entering a gaming session with the boys, AKA her newfound conspiracy theorist friends as they invited her into their gaming clan after she proved that she wasn't an undercover fed. They also seemed to love her after she helped them out of a pinch, like helping a few retain full custody of their kids as a couple of them were going through a rather messy divorce, and making sure that they got a better deal than their now ex-wives. So, after get passed the usually tomfoolery when gamers meet up with a gamer girl, they began playing a few matches of big team battle in Blood Gulch on Halo 2.
"You up for another game, Arrow?" One of the gamers asked her after the third round. Referring by her tag of ArrowStorm79.
"Nah, I'm good. Got something to do. Next time?" She replied.
"Sure, see you."
After saying goodbye to her friends and signing off. She got up her virtual bed and prepared to project herself in the real world. Max wanted her in the flesh, so to speak, for the fishing trip. Giving that she wasn't really speaking up lately, Max figured this would be a good time to do some bonding while they were out fishing. In addition, given the fact that she hadn't seen much of Earth, at least he thought so, he wanted to show her the wonders of seeing the lake that ran not too far from the Atlantic Ocean. Seeing that he could become suspicious of what she was doing if she kept herself isolated for too long, she reluctantly agreed.
"Alright... time to deal with poachers and a fish the size of a yacht."
"-By the way, Ben. Have you heard anything from Omni yet?" Grandpa asked his grandson. As all three of them were preparing to head out to the ocean to fish.
"I haven't heard anything from her yet." Ben replied.
"Right here." A familiar monotone voice said from behind all three, causing the Tennyson's to turn around to greet their AI companion. What they saw however they them surprised though.
(Insert For Honor Warmonger armor)
As she projected herself, she looked different from her typical appearance. Instead of her usual robotic form with two bright glowing eyes. Instead she was dressed in what looked to be a medieval knight. Her helmet looked akin to a knight's with two eyes with many smaller green dots within. A cape flew from her back with what looked to be a ponytail coming out the back of her helmet. A longsword was attached to her side with a leather skirt on her hip. Additionally, she had shin guards on as well as a breastplate. She was mainly colored black with with only her eyes glowing green.
"Uh, why do you look like that?" Ben questioned with a raised brow.
"It's a new look I'm trying out." She said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Man, that looks sick!" Ben complimented with excitement.
"It does seem to be more...stylish." Max chimed in.
"Thanks."
"Personally, it looks a bit edgy, if I'm being honest." Gwen admitted. Only to get a slap from her cousin. However, it was obvious by now who was the actual culprit.
"OWW!" Gwen whined as she rubbed her cheek. "Oh come on! I was just stating my opinion! Did I really deserve that!"
"Yes!" Omni defended. "Look at me! My drip is immaculate." She bragged as she poised. Drawing her sword and waving it around while she made whooshing and swishing noises.
"Yeah, come on, Gwen. Knights are awesome." Ben agreed.
"I mean, yeah." She didn't deny. "But don't you think that helmet's design a bit too much?"
The stare from the projection was all the AI needed to do to get her answer across.
"Right..."
"Alright, let's go." Max declared as he grabbed his fishing rod as Omni disappeared. With the trio exiting the RV and making their way to the docks. Along the way, Ben kept tried to convince the other two that last night he saw some kind of monster in the water. Only for Gwen and Max to brush him off, with the former thinking that he was pulling another one of his pranks while Max believed it may have been a trick of the eye or something. As soon as they made it to the boat that Max had booked, Gwen became disgusted at the worms they were going to use as bait and decided to back out.
"Alright, but you don't know what you're missing." Max said as Gwen walked away.
"I'm pretty sure I do."
Seeing that her mind wasn't changing, Max turned to the captain of the nearest boat. A man with grey hair, a red baseball cap, and a beige t-shirt.
"Captain Shaw?" Max asked.
"Who wants to know." The Captain turned his head.
"I'm Max Tennyson, and this is my grandson, Ben." He gestured to the ten-year old kid standing next to him who greeted the fishing man with a wave. "We chartered your boat today for a fishing trip.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Shaw grumbled as he moved to start the boat's engine. "Get on. I ain't got all day."
Ben got on the boat excitedly as he was eager to see if he could find any evidence of the monster he saw last night before Max followed him. The look on his face saying just how suspicious he was of the fisherman.
