Summary:

682, 049, 121, 999...
(My editors typed in this string of numbers, I have no idea what they mean.)

Welcome to the Guidebook on Odd and Strange Anomalies! All manners of odd and strange creatures can be found here, and best of all, you can take home one of your very own!!
However, these entities cannot be bought or sold at any convenience store, and many people have already bonded with these creatures that we've decided to gather their testimonies and compile them into one large, easy-to-read field guide!
If you found this, then chances are an entity is waiting to bond with you! They do have their ways, after all...
So, come to a Foundation site and show them this book, and they will show you the manner of amazing entities that you can bring home!

Chapter 1: Welcome!

Chapter Text

Congratulations!
If you're reading this, it means you’ve either formed a bond with an anomalous entity or are about to. Don’t panic. This is entirely normal (for certain definitions of “normal”).

Anomalous Companions... more commonly referred to as “SCPs,” or “Specially Connected Partners”.
(Editor's note: This is
not what it actually stands for).

They're a rare but beautiful part of life for their chosen individuals.

Inside this guidebook, you’ll find:

  • A registry of known anomalies that have bonded with humans.

  • Testimonials from Keepers and caretakers across the globe.

  • Tips on pacification, training (or coexisting), and how to not explode.

  • Classifications of bond strength and compatibility.

  • Companion care guides, hazard symbols, and enrichment ideas!

Note: SCPs cannot be bought or sold. They choose you.

No, this isn't Pokemon.

If one has arrived in your garage, basement, closet, drems, text message, or ceiling tiles… don’t be alarmed. You may already be bonded.

So please, flip through these pages. You might find the entity that's been watching you since birth.

And remember:

This is not a pet guide.
This is a survival guide.
A friendship guide.
A manual on how not to get eaten.
(Or do. We’re not here to judge.)

Welcome to the anomaly family, Keeper.
