Furina: Good morning, Neuvillette!
Furina: It's morning back there, isn't it?
Neuvillette: It is.
Furina: Did you need something?
Furina: I should tell you I have about an hour until I need to leave again and I'm sharing this hotel room with a coworker, so my options are limited, but I'll see what I can do ;)
Furina: You've been typing for a while
Neuvillette: There's something important I need to tell you. It's not too urgent, but you may want to sit down for this.
Furina: Well now I'm a little nervous, haha
Furina: But go ahead!
Furina: You're still typing…
Neuvillette: I am pregnant.
Furina: If this is your idea of a prank, I'll give it points for originality!
Furina: But it's quite obvious that you're joking haha
Neuvillette: I am not joking.
Furina: You don't need to drag it on, it was kind of funny! You're getting better at this sort of thing
Neuvillette: Furina, I am not joking.
Furina: Okay but seriously

Furina: you're serious
Neuvillette: Yes.
Furina: you're absolutely sure??
Furina: the test could have been defective!
Furina: maybe it was contaminated?
Furina: or a false positive!!
Furina: take another one
Neuvillette: Of course I took another one. I took two more, to be safe.

Furina: you're really not joking
Neuvillette: I've consulted an OB-GYN as well. No, I am not joking.
Furina: And I'm the other parent, otherwise you wouldn't be telling me
Neuvillette: We cannot be truly certain without a test, but considering the timing, it's the most likely.
Furina: Oh
Neuvillette: I would have told you anyways.
Neuvillette: Furina?
Neuvillette: I'm truly sorry for springing this on you all of a sudden. I considered waiting until you returned, but I thought you would want to know immediately.
Neuvillette: Furina? Please respond.
Neuvillette: I understand if you want to take some time to process this.
Furina: Sorry, my coworker came in and asked if I was alright
Furina: But I'm calmer now haha
Furina: You don't have to apologize at all, I should be the one apologizing!! This is my fault, I should have been more careful
Neuvillette: It was not your fault alone, I should have been more thorough as well.
Furina: Well yes but
Furina: nevermind
Furina: Are you planning to keep it?
Neuvillette: That was part of why I texted you. I would like your opinion.
Furina: Why??
Neuvillette: Because you are the other parent.
Furina: yes but you're the one carrying it?
Furina: It's completely up to you
Furina: What do you think? Whatever you decide, I'll support you whole-heartedly!
Neuvillette: I don't know.
Neuvillette: I've never considered this before.
Neuvillette: I would be able to provide for them.
Furina: you know that's not a good enough reason to keep it right?
Neuvillette: Yes, I'm more concerned about whether I'm suitable for parenthood.
Neuvillette: But I am not averse to the idea.
Neuvillette: I will need to consider this more thoroughly, but I think I would like to keep it.
Furina: You'd be a great parent!
Neuvillette: How could you know?
Furina: It's just the kind of person you are, of course
Furina: And you don't need to make a final decision now! Take your time!
Neuvillette: I would also like to ask how involved you want to be in the child's life.
Furina: how involved do you want me to be??
Neuvillette: To whatever degree you're comfortable with.
Furina: I could be the favorite uncle. Or the godmother! I'd love to be a godmother.
Neuvillette: Perhaps you would want to co-parent?
Furina: neuvillette
Furina: i'm not ready to be a father
Neuvillette: Yes, I'm aware of that.
Furina: well you didn't have to agree immediately
Neuvillette: But I would not ask if I did not trust you with this. And you would not be raising them alone.
Furina: You have far too much faith in me
Furina: Well, obviously I'll try my best
Furina: I'd have to think about it…
Neuvillette: Of course.
Furina: Oh! but if I do co-parent, do you know what that means??
Neuvillette: What?
Furina: We could get married again!
Neuvillette: ?
Furina: Divorce doesn't stop you from marrying the same person twice, does it? That's the whole point, so you can get married again!
Neuvillette: We do not need to be married to raise a child together.
Furina: Yes, but it would be fun and this is a good excuse
Furina: Our first was magnificent, wasn't it?
Furina: Imagine hosting another one! We can invite everyone over again
Furina: Then we could get divorced again if we wanted to, there's nothing in the law against it
Neuvillette: Do not take this as an insult, but I am truly fascinated by the way your mind works.
Furina: look it's either this or i start panicking again haha
Neuvillette: Ah
Neuvillette: Carry on, then. And please drink some water.
Furina: yes yes don't worry and you too!
Furina: Alright, I have to leave soon, but I'll see if we can call later and if not I'll text
Neuvillette: We should also continue this discussion in-person, when you return.
