During the battle of Aladna Kree leader Dar-Benn is trying to restore Hala to it’s former glory by stealing the water from the planet and use the Quantum Band to become the most powerful being in the Multiverse. Having read the inscription on the first band it tells her with two bangles she will become very powerful.
While Dar-Benn fights Monica Rambeau and Carol Danvers she discovers Kamala Khan helping civilians to safety. Using the Universal Weapon she battles Kamala who manages to over power her with her own abilities and punches Dar-Benn away but quickly flies back and notices Kamala’s bangle.
“Where did you get that” asked Dar-Benn. “My Nani gave it to me, it was sent in a box of stuff” said Kamala. Dar-Benn can feel the power inside Kamala is very powerful. “You are no human, your powers do not come from the bangle, you were born this way you will be very useful in my plan” said Dar-Benn to Kamala who hits Dar-Benn with her powers and runs away.
Dar-Benn tries to chase her but she is ambushed by Carol and Monica who battle her. Dar-Benn gains the upper hand using the universal weapon sending them flying into the jump point to Hala. Meanwhile Kamala is still running when Dar-Benn catches her “going somewhere” said Dar-Benn who blasts Kamala with her staff temporarily disabling her powers and Kamala falls to the ground.
Two Kree soldiers grab Kamala and hold her still, she struggles to break free but gets punched causing her to scream in agony. “Please don’t kill me“ begged Kamala. “Oh no sweetie I’m not going to kill you, your power is too strong and pure and I will need it for my grand plan. “I’m not helping you bitch” said Kamala spitting in her face. “Don’t worry darling your power shall now be mine” said Dar-Benn who holds her staff and taps it on the ground and it starts to glow.
Dar-Benn‘s astral projection soul leaves her body and walks over to Kamal’s body and rips out her astral projection soul. Kamala’a soul struggles to stay in her body but Dar-Benn is stronger and successfully rips her soul out and throws it to her old body and she enters Kamala’a body and her astral form disappears.
Dar-Benn opens her eyes and looks across to see her body looking back at her in shock. Dar Benn looks down at her hands that are smaller and younger, her hair is now brown instead of silver and looks down to see she is wearing a red and blue suit with a lightNing bolt on her chest. Dar-Benn smiles as she examines her new body.
”Yes it worked, oh this feels so much better, I feel younger and more powerful“ said Dar-Benn as she admires her new body. She tried out Kamala‘s powers and loves how powerful he feels. “What did you to me” said Kamala in Dar-Benn’s body. “Relax child your sacrifice will be a great service to the Kree, with the power your body possesses I shall restore Hala to it’s former glory and become the most powerful being in the universe” said Dar-Benn to Kamala who starts crying.
”You’ll never get away with this, Carol Danvers will stop you” said Kamala. “How that‘s where your wrong with this I will be unstoppable“ said Dar-Benn as she takes the second Quantum band from her old body and places it on her other wrist. Dar-Benn feels the power flowing through her as her eyes turn purple. “It feels good, the power, everything“ said Dar-Benn as she can Kamala’a powers increasing in her new body.
Kamala manages to break free and lunges for Dar-Benn who uses Kamala’s powers to make a giant fist and punches Kamala in the face knocking her unconscious. “You two take her back to the ship and make sure she does not escape” said Dar-Benn in Kamala’s voice. As the Kree leave with Dar-Benn she sees Carol and Monica flying down towards her.
”Kamala are you ok” asked Monica. “What happened“ asked Carol. “She tried to take my bangle away from me but I overpowered her and stole the second one where a voice told me to wear the two as it is my destiny” said Dar-Benn in her best Kamala Kahn impression. “Well we’re glad you’re ok, c’mon let’s get you back to the ship.” Said Carol as they leave for the ship.
The ship leaves as the three women decide to crash and prepare for the next Kree attack. Mean while Carola and Monica sleep. Dar-Benn goes to the bathroom and looks at herself in the mirror loving her new young body and how her plan will be successful but needs to learn more. Using a spell Dar-Benn accesses Kamala’s memories and sees and knows everything.
Kamala’s friends Nakia and Bruno, her confrontation with Kamran and his mother her relationship with her family, the time she saved Zoe Zimmer at Avenger Con and also Kamala’s family history about her great grandmother and the bangle.
Dar-Benn has everything she needs in order to become Kamala Khan without raising red flag. She takes one more look in the mirror. “My name is Kamala Khan and I am the new and improved Ms.Marvel” said Dar-Benn as she leaves to get sleep to begin her master plan.
Meanwhile Kamala Khan wakes up in Dar-Benn’s body locked in a cage and sees two guards. “Let me out of here” said Kamala trying to get out. “Relax kid you’re not going anywhere so sit back and enjoy your new life and prison” taunted one of the guards to who laugh while Kamala cries realising she needs to escape and save her family and friends.
