In a old birthing center, laying in a not so confy bed, was a young woman, holding her new borns while staring at the babies lovingly. A old nurse enters, pushing the hospital crib to take the babies to the nursery. But she stops, hesitent, she asks to the young mother.
"They are so beautiful, did you chose the names yet?"
"Yes... This one is Leonidas, the oldest." She said while looking at the baby in green, who was sleeping with the mouth still in the breast. "My little girl is called Phoebe." She moved her eyes to look at the baby in purple in the midle, the girl did cry a lot, but as soon as she felt the skin of her mother, calm washed over her, and she was sleeping ever since. "And my baby in blue, Perseus." Her gaze fell on the last baby, also with his mouth in the mothers breast. "Can't I stay with them a little more?"
"Sorry, uhh... Sally, it's centers rules, I need to take the to be checked and to sleep with the others."
The young mother looked at her babies, so small, so fragil, so dependents on her... It felt wrong, but not knowing best, she trusted the nurse, whom took them never to be seen again.
While resting after the birth, Sally was almost sleeping, almost, when she heard the fire alarms. Panic took over her, her babies were away. She got out of the room, leaving a track of blood behind, a track that alowd an actual nurse to find her e take her and her baby out of the fire. She cried over her other babies, she triad to figth, but ir was in vein.
When Sally woke up she was in a hospital, Percy on the crib by the side of the bed, sleeping as if his mothers heart wasn't breaking and her soul was shaterd. Sally Jackson almost lost her son, she was almost deemed an unfit parent, if it weren't for the nurse that found she would be lost without her remainig son. Her only son, thats what the files said at least.
-- "On Agust 18th of 2000, Sally Jackson gave birth to a baby boy, Perseus. Because of the smoke she breathed while tring to run from the fire with her son, she got confused and thougth to have birthed trhee babies. She claimed a nurse took her babies, Leonidas and Phoebe, but had nothing to hold the claim. After treatment in the mental facilite of the hospital, the custudy of the son has been restored with monitoring, but she was fit a safe parent and the visits of the social worker has ended after she got married to a good man how was trilled to become a father. Case closed"
Sally never forgot. She stoped talking about it. She endured her husbands atacks for the sake of keeping Percy. She was strong. But she never recovered, she never forgot her babies, but she never spoke of them, even thogth she dreamed of their lifes every time she puts her head on the pillow. She was their mother. How could she ever forgets. How could she ever forgive herself? How could she not protec Percy so fiercefully when she alredy lost two children of hers?
