Work Text:

It was another normal day. The sun was beaming. Your tea was hot. The graves in your yard were cleaned. You sat in your armchair like usual, looking over your graveyard as if they were your prized possessions (which they were). Ophelia was supposed to come back from school in a few hours, so you thought it was time to kill some time.

Just as you got up, you felt a strange force in the air. You didn't know what it was. You figured it was a ghost trying to get back at you, but you remembered they only spawn at night. You looked up.
You saw a mysterious pointer in the air. It clicked around for a few minutes until it went away. Huh.
Normal day in strangetown.

You started walking again but bumped into something. It was long. And heavy.

You looked down and… there was a man.

Not just any man. You remembered that bright blue outfit. Those matching dark blue eyes.

This was the deliveryman who you invited over a couple months ago, only for him to meet the same fate that you had for your other victims! He was one of your first kills, so you kept him in the freezer so as to not look suspicious– was Grim playing a sick joke on you?
The employee looked up at you. He didn't mutter a single word. Instead, he babbled.

What.

The hell.

You kneeled down– your knees cracked and your hip almost dislocated as you looked closer to your name tag.

“Knut Futa”. What an unfortunate name.

He kept staring at you. What was this grown man–phantom- or whatever the hell he was– doing here? Did the pointer in the sky have something to do with this?
You waited for him to get up. He didn't budge. Instead he stared at you. Maybe he was paralyzed?

Maybe not. He moved his arms and legs around. He rolled side to side. Maybe he just couldn't stand.
So you did what any normal person would do, and picked him up. As you did you swore your back snapped straight in half. You really had to stop bending over.

The man looked at you. He looked… innocent. Pure.
It was the same feeling you got when you held your niece for the first time. Cute aggression. He was almost… babylike.

He gurgled. So maybe he was actually a baby.
You decided to take him back into your house. The very same house you had stuffed him in the freezer all those years ago. You placed him down on the floor like you went into autopilot.

Now you had to decide what to do with him.
Should you kill him again? No. That'd be the equivalent of killing an actual child. Keep him around? Ophelia would suspect something if a grown ass man was lying on the floor and drinking from a baby bottle.

Hmm.

You sat next to him, watching as he babbled. Maybe there was a secret third option.
