Chapter Text
Danitz pushed a pirate quickly ending him, and proceeded to kick the one behind him. By his side Anderson was also fighting a group of pirates. With swift kicks and blows he incapacitated them and quickly slashed at their throats.
Not far from them Gehrman was fighting the captain who was likely a sequence six or five. The captain was about to use a mystical ítem on Gehrman. However before he could even use it the crazy adventurer lunged with death knell and shot him on the head several times.
He hadn’t been given the time to react as Klein swiftly ended his life noting that the rest of the crew had already been taken care of, he waited for the beyonder characteristics to form. By his side Anderson and Danitz made their way to him carefully scrutinising the dead man.
As they analysed they noted that he was holding a silver necklace with a complicated pattern. However they knew better than to pick up a místical ítem without knowing its negative effects and what it could do. Even if they did take it, it belonged to Gehrman since they doubted he’d let either of them keep it.
With a playful tone Anderson remarked, “So what's next surely you have a follow up plan”
With a cold stare Gehrman picked up the beyonder characteristic and replied, “That’s for me to worry about,” after making his statement Klein got up and was making a divination as to whether touching the sealed artifact would bring him harm.
However just as he was doing this the floorboard under Anderson broke causing him to fall onto the corps. Not being too keen on falling alone he dragged Danitz by the scruff of his shirt.
As he and Danitz fell they made contact with the sealed artifact, the last thing in their mind being whether Gehrman would mind them disturbing him while he went through his spoils of war.
From Klein’s perspective the adventurer and pirate duo went limb in contact with the sealed artifact. This greatly alarmed Klein as it was sudden and an unexpected development.
Of course being aware of the dangers brought about by sealed artifacts, Klein calmed down and analysed the duo. Now in a more calm state of mind he noted that they seemed to be asleep rather than dead.
Making another divination Klein confirmed that it was safe to proceed however he still maintained a certain level of caution. Carefully he moves both Danitz and Anderson to grab the sealed artifact and bring it above the gray fog.

Anderson and Danitz fell towards the corps however just as they fell they found themselves standing again. Both hunters noticed the change in environment quickly, from an abandoned building to a bustling street it was hard to miss it.
Both frowned at the strange development which reminded them of Grosell's Travels. Moving out of the carriage's way both proceeded with caution. They noted that Gehrman wasn’t with them and that the air quality was poorer.
This meant that wherever they were was industrial and had a certain level of factories. Anderson also noted the gentlemen’s and ladies dressing and facial features leading him to conclude they were somewhere in Leon.
Grasping his hair Danitz angrily hissed, “Dogshit, this is all you’re fault”
Not agitated by his remark Anderson calmly remarked, “You can only blame yourself for being within my range while I fell.”
“Dongshit,” angrily Danitz continued to cuss at Anderson whose bad luck had gotten both of them into this strange predicament.
With a pensive look Anderson looked around analyzing for any abnormality’s not noticing any he turned back to Danitz.
“Why don’t you make yourself useful and instead of babbling start to look around the surrounding area”
Despite his lack of respect for Anderson, Danitz still complied, aware of his superior skills. “Don’t tell me what to do I’m not you’re servent”
Without batting an eye Anderson quickly remarked Danitz. “You’re right you’re Germans servant aren’t you”
“FUCK” cought of guard Danitz stormed of only being able to throw vulgarities at Anderson earning himself strange looks from passersbie.
Two hours later the hunters went back to the spot they originally parted ways. They had confirmed a few things, they were currently in the city of Tingen, Leon which was very far away from the City of Generosity, Bayam. It was hard to believe that they had traveled such a far distance however it wasn't unlikely in the world of Beyonders.
They had concluded that the mystical item was at fault for their situation, so they decided to find a way back to where they came from. As such they looked for the nearest locomotive station wich would be the fastest way to get there.
However they came across a problem as soon as the locomotive started they would be transported back to where they first appeared. Deciding that it was useless to make futile attempts the hunters decided to look around for any abnormalities that caused the strange phenomenon.
Both Anderson and Danitz decided to start by questioning the locals. Of course due to the abnormality they also decided to stick together for the time being. Noticing the Bakery in front of them they decided to start there.
As they entered they saw an elderly woman talking with a young man in a worn down brown suit who carried a bookish demeanor. As they ears dropped they caught the conversation perfectly thanks to their enhanced senses as hunters.
“Mrs. Smyrin, eight pounds of rye bread”
“Oh dear Klein, where’s Benson? Is he not back?” The lady asked the young man.
“In a few days” the man Klein answered giving a vague answer.
“He sure is a hard working lad. He will have a good wife.”
“All is good now you have already graduated. You are a history graduate of Khoi University~ Oh, you will soon be able to earn money. You should not be living in the apartment you are currently living in. At the very least, you should have a bathroom you can call your own.”
“Mrs. Smyrin, you seem to be a young and energetic woman today”
“No I have always been this young” as she said this she stretched her hand out and said.
“nine pence”
Showing a confused expression the young man questioned the Bakery owner. “Nine pence? Wasn’t it eleven pence two days ago?”
“You have to thank the people who protested on the streets for the repeal of the Grain Act”
The young man nodded in acknowledgment.
As they two continued their conversation Datitz and Anderson shared a look. Although they were mostly at sea they were still aware of matters such as these so they knew that the Grain act had been repealed last year so the young man and lady shouldn’t be discussing it as if it were something new.
This small detail alarmed them, leading them to decide to investigate the current state of the world to find any more abnormalities. Approaching the elderly woman Anderson asked.
“Hi miss may I enquire of the date”

Above the gray fog Klein did a dream divination on the artifacts effects. He found that it came from a spectator pathway beyonder characteristic. The mystical artifact allowed the user to enter someone else’s mind and memories to disorientate them while maintaining lucidity.
However its negative effects were quite bad and problematic it would randomly pull anyone who made contact with it into the memories of the last person they thought of. However they had to be in a 10 meter radius of the user or it would just drag you into your most painful memories.
This thankfully meant that Klein had a way to get them back if he didn’t hurry they could get lost in memories. The hard part would be to locate them. At that moment he got an idea he looked at the red star representing himself to look at his surroundings.
More precisely at Anderson and Danitz to find any abnormalities in their spirit bodies. He found that in his mind had two shadows that were most likely deep into his memories. Which was bad considering the amount of secrets he had and not to mention the things he wasn't supposed to see but still saw albeit not on purpose. Getting back on track Klein thought of a few ways to get Danitz and Anderson out safely. First would be to use a paper figurine and with the help of the gray fog purify himself. However he decided against it since it could likely harm them or their spirit bodies. The other way would be to use the mystical item on himself and hide them out of his memories.
Klein decided that it would be the safest for the two hunters for him to navigate them out of his memories rather than force them out. Of course he couldn’t start right away. He first needed to find a safe area to make sure nothing went wrong.
The place they were in was not too safe either so Klein decided that although it was urgent to get them out of his memories it was more important to make preparations. As so he grabbed both hunters by the scruff of their necks and dragged them out. He had to do it this way due to a seer's limited physical enhancement. This means that although not impossible it would be faster for him to just drag them to safety than to carry two adult men to safety.
Wearing his Gehrman Sparrow face Klein dragged Danitz and Anderson to their hotel. If anyone saw that scene they no doubt would believe he was getting ready to cash in their bounties. One however didn’t have a bounty and the other one didn’t do too much evil to become pounds in Klein’s pocket. Truly a pity that it went against his morals he would have 5,000 pounds otherwise.
