Chapter Text
"Who broke it?"
Everyone stood around the coffee maker, which had ceased to function. The cerafe was cracked, and a puddle of coffee had begin to pool on the hot plate.
Teddy looked sternly at the group that had gathered around the coffee cart.
"I'm not mad. I just want to know"
Sacagewea piped up immediately, "I did, I broke --" she was cut off by Teddy.
"No, no you didnt." He knew she was trying to avoid conflict amongst her coworkers.
She always hated fighting anyway and just wanted to get out of fighting of any kind whenever she could.
Teddy heaved a sigh, looked at Atilla.
"'Tilla?"
Atillas eyes widened, immediately trying to shirk the blame away from himself.
"Don't look at me! Look at Larry!" The larger man swung his head over to Larry's direction, who instinctively put his hands up in defense.
"What? I didn't break it!"
Atilla folded his arms across his chest.
"Huh, that's weird. How'd you even know it was broken?"
Larry furrowed his brow, "because it's sitting right in front of us, and it's broken.." He gestured to the coffee maker.
Atilla narrowed his eyes at Larry, leaning in to be nearly nose to nose with him.
"Suspicious" He hissed.
"No, it's not!" Larry rolled his eyes.
Jedediah chimed in, looking up at the ceiling, attempting to impart innocence.
"If it matters-- probably not-- but, Octavius was the last one to use it." He glanced at his coworker as he called him out.
Octavius gasped, "Liar! I don't even drink that crap!!" He said, offended.
"Oh, really, then, what were you doing by the coffee cart earlier?" Jed scoffed.
"I use the wooden stirrers to push back my cuticles, everybody knows that, Jedediah!!" Octavius balled his fists up at his sides, beginning to bicker with his coworker.
Sacagewea cut them off before the squabbling got out of hand. "Okay, okay! Let's not fight, I broke it, let me pay for it Teddy."
"No!" Teddy heaved a sigh. "Who broke it!!" He asked harshly.
Larry but his lip, looking to his right in the circle of his employees.
"Teddy? Ahk's been awfully quiet," he glanced over at ahkmenrah.
"Really?!" Ahkmenrah nearly shouted, completely insulted.
"Yeah, really!" Larry shrugged, looking away from his office manager, utterly furious, truly believing the silence from Ahkmenrah meant he was the one to blame.
"Oh, my god!!" Ahkmenrah rolled his eyes, shouting to the ceiling.
