Chapter Text

emily x emma - bandaging/stitching up an injury

"Hold still," Emily chides softly, hands meticulously working to bandage Emma's injured arm.

Emma's tapping feet slow to a stop. "Sorry, sorry. I can't help it, though. Having you touch me so much, I feel like I'm gonna go crazy~"

The doctor startles for a split-second at that admission, her cheeks flushing a deep red. She then resumes her work, head lowered to avoid Emma's affectionate gaze.

Emma can't help but giggle at her adorable expression.

ithaqua x eli - hiding face in neck

They're relaxing together on one of the numerous couches in the manor when Ithaqua lowers his head and buries his face in Eli's neck.

Eli, for his part, just blinks behind his blindfold and asks, "Everything alright?"

Ithaqua nods ever-so-slightly. Then, so quiet Eli almost doesn't hear him: "Don't ever leave me..."

Eli's expression softens as he smiles. He brings up a hand to rest atop Ithaqua's hooded head and pets him slowly. "I haven't foreseen that, don't worry."

His smile grows when he feels Ithaqua relax against him.

jack x aesop - feeling their pulse

Aesop's hand slides along the smooth velvet sheets until it finds Jack's. Once there, it grasps around until it locates the man's inner wrist, which Aesop presses down on with his thumb.

The steadfast thump-thump-thump lets him know the man next to him is, in fact, alive. He's alive. He's alive.

Jack stirs from sleep with a questioning hum, rolling over to press up against the younger man.

"It's nothing..." Aesop murmurs. And goes back to sleep.

luchino x demi - cold hands in warm hands

"Jesus Christ your hands are freezing!" Demi exclaims the second she has the hunter's hands in her grasp. Goosebumps break out on her arms from the sheer change in temperature, and also from the snickering cackle Luchino gives in response.

"I'm a reptile, you know. That means I'm cold-blooded," she teases.

Demi rolls her eyes. "Well, duh. I just didn't expect them to be this cold."

"And I didn't expect yours to be so...warm."

And something about that, about the way her hands are the complete opposite of Luchino's—even down to the size and roughness and color—feels weirdly right.

victor x luca - pulling someone into a hug

"Victor...!"

The sudden shout makes Victor turn from where he's just about to step through the exit gate. He lights up the second he recognizes the man running toward him, as well as the barking dog at his heels.

Luca barely slows down when he gets closer, sweeping the postman up in a hug so intense it makes the two of them stumble.

"Your letter saved me!" Luca exclaims.

Victor can’t even write out a response, his notebook squashed between his and the other man’s chests. He settles for sending Luca a relieved smile.
