Toji was having a horrible day. It seemed like no job wanted to accept him. He tried everything. Tried to look professional, to act professional, but nothing worked unfortunately. He had wished and wished for a decent job that would get him buy…. But his gambling addiction was playing devil’s advocate. Constantly reminding him the pleasure of gambling, the fun, the thrill of it all. And eventually he gave in a few times.
Toji ended up losing his house all together. Not a single thing from his house came with him except a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. He walked by an alley and sat down on the concrete floor, grabbing his lighter snd lighting the cigarette.
Now your life was messed up too. Especially as a fairy. You had all sorts of powers, but one of them was something not all of your fellow fairy’s had: Granting wishes. And so you had to deal with others being jealous that humans liked you too. What a pain… At least you didn’t have to stay in the fairy world forever. You could spend time in the fairy world, no one would see you anyway unless you let them or if you transform into your human form. You were quite tall for a fairy but never mind that, you were still smaller than humans. The fairy world was stressing you out , so a nice day in the human world could help.
One thing you liked was flying around the human world, observing everything. Something that really brought you peace in nature. That smell of flowers really did something to you. Speaking of flowers, you had brought seeds from the fairy world and planted them somewhere in the human world, a place in the human world that was abandoned. You felt it needed to have some light.
You flew down to the area you wanted and started prepong everything. What you didn’t know.. was that someone was watching you. You felt their presence. You turned and a man of muscular build. His hair is a complete mess and to be honest.. it looked like he hadn’t showered..
Your eyes widen. How the hell could he see you? You're a fairy with complete control over your powers, there’s no way you could slip.. right?
You tilt your head and fly over to man. “Sir?”
“What.. the fuck are you…. I must.. be high but.. all I did was light a few cigarettes.”
You cross your arms.“That’s bad for your health, mister!”
The man didn’t even laugh. He was too shocked right now. How the fuck are were you flying? And are those wings? Goodness…
“What are you?” He asked, very slowly. He looked so out of it. Deep inside he was resolved shocked but his expression didn’t really seem to show that. Well.. except for his eyes which were a bit wide.
You smile, putting your hands on your hips. “My name is Y/n. I’m a fairy. I’m not sure how you can see me.”
“Ohhh so I’m hallucinating… gotchu…”
“No! I’m very very very real!”
“Prove it then…”
You decide to take on his little challenge cause why not. Moving up closer to him, you fly a bit over his head and slam your fist.
“Urgh! The hell?!”
“You told me to prove it.”
“Okay! Okay! Well, I believe you now. So, what the hell are you even doing here anyway? What business does a ‘fairy’ have here in the human world? Especially this rotten ass area.” He rolled his eyes at the last part. And you rolled your eyes at the way he said fairy.
You sigh. “Us fairy’s have the ability to go to the fairy world. And I love planting flowers, especially here in the human world, in places that don’t have much happiness. Also, you never told your name.”
Toji looked down at the concrete. One leg was up and an arm was prompted on it. “Names Toji. Toji Zenin. I had a job, or jobs, but I never managed to last. All this happened after I had gotten kicked from my stupid as clan. Not to mention, I developed a gambling addiction.”
Your eyes were very heavy... tears were waiting to be spilled. Eventually the tears spilled. It was too much.
You felt bad for the man.
Toji looked at you.. confused. He didn't know what to do. Should he reach a hand out to you? Comfort you?
You wipe your tears with the back of your hand.
"Such.. so.. so many problems. I'm sorry you went through all that."
He chuckled a bit. "Didn't think anyone would even listen to my problems.. let alone cry about it."
You were a bit of an empath to say the least....
"I care about people all right? I like to say it's party of my duty to help people."
"Everyone?"
"Not if they're assholes."
Toji laughed at that then ended up coughing. "Funny thing aren't you?"
You shake your head. "I'm glad you find me hilarious, but I suggest you stop smoking if you don't want to die.”
He lights up his last cigarette. "What's the point? I'm human, I'm gonna die anyway, sweetheart."
Your heart sank. "Don't say that!" You take the cigarette and throw it on the ground, crushing it.
Toji sighs. "My last bit of hope was crushed."
"I am your hope. I'll help you get back on your feet."
Toji raises a brow. "How? isn't this against some fairy rule? Do you even have a house here?"
"Okay first of all, no this isn't against any rule. Two, yes, I do have a house here. I'll have to change into my human form to summon it."
"Go ahead pretty lady."
You feel your face flush a bit and try to ignore the compliment he made.
You put your hands together and close your hands. A house emerges from underground and rises.
"Holy fuck." Toji says.
You turn back and smile. "Welcome to my home... in the human world."
