Work Text:

A knock rings against the glass pane of Keita’s office door, causing him to look up and take in who is brave enough to bother him in the last minute crunch to finish the last bit of his paperwork before going home. He finds Hanbin standing sheepishly and trying very hard to look away from him. “Come in,” he says, kicking back his chair a few centimeters away from the wood of his desk, knowing that Hanbin is just going to either drag him away from it or sit on the surface next to him.

Hanbin toes his way into the room, shyly walking towards Keita unlike his normal overly confident self, when he finally stops next to Keita his eyes plead for permission for something. He sighs, pushing his chair back a little further, turning towards the man, tapping his thigh.

His lover presses forward, almost throwing himself onto Keita’s lap, curling around him on the chair. Before he can ask any further, Hanbin presses his nose into the crook of his neck and practically melts further into him. Keita moves his left hand into his hair, scratching his scalp in the way that always has Hanbin’s eyes drooping with contentedness, letting out a little hum as he squeezes Keita for a few seconds.

“You wanna talk about it, Jagi?” He drifts his right hand underneath the waistcoat of Hanbin’s three-piece, rubbing a little circle on the back of his pelvic bone, “You don’t have to, we can just sit here for a bit and then I’ll finish up the last of my work, and we’ll go home, yeah?”

“The new project, Daepyo-Nim doesn’t like any of our suggestions no matter what we do, we’ve been running around like crazy trying to make anything but it just gets turned down,” he pulls away from Keita’s neck, “We’re so tired, Hyung.”

“Aigoo, my poor baby,” he coos, shifting forward to press a kiss on Hanbin’s cheek, “You’ll figure out something, eventually, Yeobo.” He presses their foreheads together, stroking Hanbin’s cheek with his thumb, “Do you want to stay in my lap while I finish up?”

Hanbin nods his head enthusiastically, enough to make the chair creak, and he snorts, “I got you, it won’t take too long.”

He rolls back towards his desk, making sure the lip doesn’t meet Hanbin’s spine and gets started on his last stack. Shuffling the papers quickly, signing some, writing quick comments on others. Eventually, Hanbin fully slumps against him, breathing evening out as he falls into a quick nap. He tries to not jostle him as he finishes up the final packet, knowing that they’ll go home soon, with a nice shower on their itinerary, and then maybe a quick dinner, and falling asleep in each other’s arms.

“Bin-ie,” he whispers against the skin of Hanbin’s neck, letting his breath tickle the sensitive skin, ignoring the fact he knows there is still foundation on his neck to cover the things they do at home. A lot of their co-workers vying for his attention don’t realize that the both of them are a little possessive, that both of them are a tiny bit crazy about each other. Even though the true nature of their relationship is hidden they’ve still made some things clear: They’re close in a way that cannot be broken. It’s not like their colleagues really need to know about the wedding bands and their annual trips to Osaka during the summer, because that’s for them and their private life.

Sometimes they do dig themselves into holes they cannot fully get themselves out of; like Hanbin having a line groupchat with Keita and his sisters, or knowing his alcohol limit down to what drink the older has at company outings, or the ominous having a key for each other’s “apartments” in reality they have keys for their home on the outskirts of Seoul. They’ve not technically fully been secret, especially being close friends with Seungeun and Mun Junghyun from advertising, Lee Junghyun from accounting, and Yunseo (and his intern Jihoo) from human resources, but most of the others fully haven’t caught on yet that outside of work they have each other’s tongue down their throats.

They’ve learnt that some even think that they hate each other, which was eventually taken to Yunseo, that lead to a meeting with the younger where he was trying very hard to not laugh in their faces, as he mediated between the three of them. Though, they haven’t been caught doing things like this yet: like when Hanbin sometimes crowds him next to the printer to share a chaste kiss, or when he brings the bag with their bentos into his office and sitting so close their thighs touch, or when Hanbin gets tired and needs to recharge by basically trying to fuse himself into Keita behind his desk. Lest he admit it and give Hanbin an ego boost, those moments are usually his favorite, which Hanbin lets him know how much he still loves him, and wants him, because Keita loves him back just a fiercely.

“Baby, we gotta get up, I’m done,” he hears Hanbin whine into his skin, but he lightly shakes him back, “Let’s go home and take a shower, yeah?”

Finally his baby looks at him, eyes still closing every so often, showing how tired he truly is, “Wanna go home, Hyung.”

“Let’s go, cutie,” he says, leading the very tired Hanbin to the elevator, getting him into the car without issue, the trip still annoying as it usually is due to the traffic, but they still get home with time to spare before midnight. They enter their home on autopilot, getting clothes from their bedroom and making their way into the bathroom. The shower is only for utility, Hanbin’s eyes closed into crescents as Keita washes his hair for him, with Hanbin sloppily trying to do it back for him. They get into fresh clothes, Keita throwing a saucepan of ramyeon on the small induction burner on their dining room table, and his husband tiredly sways in his seat while waiting for it to cool. They devour it in a few minutes before throwing the dishes in the sink, Keita cleaning it quickly so he can get his whiny baby of a husband into bed.

They brush their teeth and settle under the covers, Hanbin wrapping himself around Keita like an octopus, and they fall asleep to the sound of each other’s heartbeat. Content is too little of a word to describe the feeling in their chests while wrapped around each other.

Notes:

hii typed this in a messy two hours post-migraine so i will edit this later

you ever think about how hanbin isn’t actually an extrovert, and he has a small social battery and he relies on keita when he is unable to socialize. like i’m mentally ill over the fact that hanbin has chosen a charging person who lets him do whatever to him, who gets to be the kid he wasn’t able to be with him, they’re so close that they don’t use formal language. they nag and joke around but keita does have a soft spot for him. like unless i was semi in love with someone i would not live translate fucking anime that i’m not even watching. that’s like domestic as hell. they follow each other around on stage like magnets, i don’t even think they fully realize it, and i’m just glad they met in this life. i’m glad they got to debut together, that they get to do what they love together. whether they are together or not doesn’t matter to me, i just know their connection is real and it runs deep, and that’s all i care about.

hanbin has so much love to give, his heart is so big, and i’m glad that he gets to pour it into people who love him just as much. evnne family real y’know

anyways i need to sleep ahhhhhh but enjoy this while i work on my other fic and im working on smth that’ll be uhm :) interesting to say the least bc uh it’s different. thanks for reading :3
