Ayaka sighed gently as she opened the door to her apartment, bag dropping onto the hardwood floor as she then shut the door behind her.
Like always, her classes were exhausting regardless of the amount of sleep she had the night before, she would always arrive home tired. But it didn't matter because Mizuki would always be there for her at the end of the day.
“Ayaka, you're home!” Mizuki said, a bright smile on her face. She walked over and grasped her girlfriend’s hand softly, walking her over to the grey plush sofa so, she could rest.
Before Ayaka could reply, Mizuki disappeared into their small kitchen before reappearing back through the doorway, carrying two hot cups of tea. She gently handed one to Ayaka with a soft smile, sitting down next to her after.
Ayaka smiled and leant down on her shoulder. “Thank you.” She said quietly, then taking a sip of the tea. “You always take such good care of me.”
To Ayaka, Mizuki was nothing short of an angel, her girlfriend always did her best to make sure that she was happy and well rested, many small acts she’d do would always lighten her mood, even on the most stressful of days, it was sweet.
“Of course, you’re working so hard to go into a noble and stressful career, the most I can do is make your days leading into that more bearable.”
Ayaka felt the chord in her throat tighten, she took a breath before replying. “You’re so sweet, Mizu, you do so much for me, I- do I really deserve you?”
Mizuki placed her cup down, then wrapping her arms around Ayaka.
“Of course you do Aya, you do so much more for me than you realize. To me, you deserve the world and more.”
