Chapter Text

There she was, Coffee Candy Cookie, looking up at the TBD while clutching her fountain pen and writing pad.

The train she came by could be heard departing and a gust of wind that was caused by the train's sudden motion reminded her of why she's standing back here..to help other Cookies.

She sighed and turned her head towards Welling Inkwell. The pet gave her a reassuring smile which always made her smile back at it. But was the smile an indication of her actually believing in herself..

Or was it just a means to reassure others around her?

Chapter Text

Coffee Candy Cookie entered the Lobby.
She was surrounded by the sounds of water vapour and smoke that were being pumped out of the loud machines,as well as the sounds of other Cookies who were heading towards their divisions as well.

Coffee Candy Cookie went down from the Lobby and towards the Time Registry Division while being followed by Welling Inkwell the whole time. She nudged open the door of the TRD. It was unusually quiet, though Coffee Candy Cookie did come quite early today so she wasn't all that surprised.

"Good morning, Coffee Candy Cookie."

Coffee Candy Cookie was startled, though she immediately recognised who it was and turned around to face Baguette Cookie,her manager, pushing up her glasses. She had the same stern look as always, Coffee Candy Cookie would be lying if she didn't admit her manager made her shiver from time to time. Though she experienced Baguette Cookie's warmth which definitely made her more comfortable around her.
Coffee Candy Cookie gave her a smile as she spoke up to greet her.

"Good morning, Baguette Cookie! How are you?"

She said so while starting to boot up her time recorder.

"Coffee Candy Cookie. Do not boot up your time recorder. I have a different task for you today."

Baguette Cookie spoke as she headed towards her desk and took a few folders which she then came back with and handed over to Coffee Candy Cookie. The apprentice took them with care and made sure to hold onto them real well. Who knows what kind of data is in these? This is the Time Balance Department after all!

"O-oh, of course! Do I need to deliver these to other divisions."

Baguette Cookie could be seen giving a slight,proud smile.

"Yes, exactly. The divisions the folders need to be delivered to are written on them."

"Alright! You can count on me, Baguette Cookie!"

"I hope so."

Coffee Candy Cookie waved goodbye to Baguette Cookie with a smile as she headed towards the door. She's done tasks like this countless times before! So she was sure of herself! Sure that she wouldn't make any dumb mistakes.. right?

The apprentice closed the door behind her and looked down at the folders in her hands.

"I should organise these by unit, that would be the most efficient! I should start with this unit as I'm already here!..hm.."

She thought before she started sifting through the folders.

"The only division I have a folder for that's in the Time Education Unit is the folder for..the Relic Management Division!"

She put the folder in her other hand as she made her way down to the division.

A bit before she came to the door she could already hear two familiar voices.

"Are they quarreling..again?"

Coffee Candy Cookie thought as she made her way to the door of the Relic Management Division. She brought her hand up to knock but was clearly hesitant..

"Is it a bad time..? It would be really awkward if I.."

She took a deep breath as she made up her mind..and knocked.
The apprentice was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the door was opened.

"Who is i- Oh! Coffee Candy Cookie, am I glad to see you! Come on in!"

"Ah thanks for the offer, Maple Taffy Cookie but I just need to delive-"

Before she even knew it she was being dragged into the room.

"Wait for me I have something amazing to show you!"

That was the last thing Coffee Candy Cookie heard before Maple Taffy Cookie ran off somewhere.

She just stood there for a bit trying to comprehend anything,it being quite early wasn't making it any easier either..

"Good morning."

Coffee Candy Cookie looked to her right where she saw someone with her arms crossed and who was clearly annoyed.

"Oh, good morning, Schneeball Cookie!"

"I apologise for..his.. actions. He's even more enthusiastic today than normal as we're getting new relics in today."

"Ah it's nothing to apologise, really! Enthusiasm is quite endearing in my eyes actually!"

"I understand,but everything's got a limit. Plus.."

Schneeball Cookie looked down at the folders Coffee Candy Cookie was holding.

"..you seem much busier this morning than usual. He just doesn't seem to understand everyone else here is also working."

Coffee Candy Cookie was a bit surprised at the fact Schneeball Cookie noticed the folders. She couldn't really see her eyeing them due to her opaque glasses.

Just then Maple Taffy Cookie came barging through the door whilst holding something.

"Look at this, Coffee Candy Cookie! It's a dragon claw indent that has been fossilized! You can even se-"

"Wait. Maple Taffy Cookie is that the relic that I've just been analysing!?"

Maple Taffy Cookie looked back at Schneeball Cookie.

"Yes..but, BUT! You can analyse it a bit later, can't you? I just want to show it to Coffee Candy Cookie, she likes dragons too you know!"

"But you still shouldn't have went through MY office to find it! How did you even know where it was!?"

"Whenever I'm looking for something I always find it. You should know from experience."

Schneeball Cookie just facepalmed from how fed up she was.

"What if you drop it or something!? Did you possibly think of that?"

Maple Taffy Cookie scoffed.

"ME?! Drop a RELIC, A RELIC!? Who do you think I am!?"

Coffee Candy Cookie just stood there for a bit while the two continued on. After a bit she just decided to leave the folder on a nearby desk and leave.

She shut the door behind and sighed. As she looked through the next divisions to head to.

Chapter Text

Coffee Candy Cookie took a deep breath before sorting through the files again.

"The unit ahead is..the Time Management Unit. I think I had something in relation to it.."

She thought as she sorted the files in her hands.

"Ah! The Technology Development Division.. OH! Croissant Cookie works there, this should be easy then!"

She smiled as she collected her thoughts and headed over to the division. After a few minutes of walking throughout the halls she came to her stop.

She knocked on the entrance door.

"Coming!"

Coffee Candy Cookie could hear a familiar voice from inside.

The door opened and it was just who the apprentice was expecting.

"Oh, Coffee Candy Cookie! Nice seeing you! Can I help you with anything?"

Croissant Cookie smiled and asked in her usual cheerful fashion.

"Baguette Cookie told me to deliver these to their corresponding divisions so I was hoping you could forward them to your manager, as they're pretty much never free for this sort of thing."

Coffee Candy Cookie forwarded the file that was in her hand towards Croissant Cookie who gladly took it.

"Of course, thank you! Want to come in? Or are you too busy right now?"

"Sorry, I can't right now, I'm pretty busy today. But I'll definitely stop by when I have the chance!"

The apprentice smiled as Croissant Cookie nodded.

"It's fine I understand, definitely stop by when you do have the chance though! Good luck with everything else!"

"I will! Thank you! See you soon!"

Coffee Candy Cookie waved goodbye to Croissant Cookie as the other did to her as well.

"I knew this one was going to be quick and easy, hope the rest are at least similar.."

She thought. As she gave out a slight sigh.

"I can do this though! Baguette Cookie wouldn't have tasked me something like this of she didn't trust me!
...
..right?"
