Work Text:
“But why not?” Parker asked as she stepped down from the stage.
Eliot took the remote from her as Hardison pulled out her chair.
“Because it’s treason, babe,” Hardison told her.
“But he’s a criminal! And not like us,” she said before slouching into her chair.
“He’s also President of the United States,” Eliot replied.
“He’s been convicted of 34 felonies. He should be in prison!”
“Who should be in prison?” Sophie asked as she and Harry walked into the room.
“Drumpf,” Breanna replied as she popped some popcorn into her mouth.
“Ah, the orange menace,” Harry chimed in.
“And you are completely right that he should be in jail,” Sophie added.
“That ain’t what she wants to do to him,” Eliot said.
Sophie looked to the blonde thief, “Parker, what do you want to do to POTUS?”
“Kill him, drop him in the deepest pit known to man, and then arrest his family; but Eliot said no to the killing part, so I said he should be in prison.”
“Because killing him would be treason, Parker!” Eliot argued.
“But it shouldn’t be, because he’s a bad, bad man and he should be punished!”
Eliot and Parker began arguing. Hardison looked torn between whose side he should take. And Breanna grabbed more popcorn from her bowl.
Sophie looked to Harry, who just shrugged.
“She is making some compelling points and it would be a challenge for her to escape from whatever maximum security prison black site she gets sent to.”
Sophie shook her head and began walking out, “You’re all incorrigible!”
Harry watched her leave before turning to Breanna and motioning to the bowl of popcorn. Breanna nodded and Harry took a handful of popped kernels.
“So, how long has this been going on?”
“About 20 minutes.”
“Ah.”
And they both stuffed their mouths with more popcorn.
