Knight AU -☆- Knight Phillip, Princess Reader

It was evening, the sun slowly shying away from the world, the sky a canvas of orange and pink. The breeze was warm and comfortable, the birds singing a calming melody. You were sitting on your balcony, watching the sun set. You smoothed down your dress, your eyes roaming over the courtyard, searching for a certain blonde haired prince. You sighed when you couldn't see him, leaning back into your chair. A faint noise behind made you sit up straight, turning around to be met with the sight of your knight, smiling softly as he approached you. Your breath hitched, your cheeks slightly heating up at the side of him. He bowed respectfully, taking your hand in his and gently kissing the back of it. You could feel the coolness of his armour, the soft brush of his laps, making your heart faster. You nodded your head, hoping that he wouldn't notice the redness of your cheeks.
You reluctantly pulled your hand away, placing it back in your lap. You missed the warmth of his lips against your hand, but you ignored it. You gestured to the chair next to you, offering to sit with you. He smirked softly, moving the chair over to sit next to you. He took off his gloves, gently taking your hand back in his. He stroked your soft skin, enjoying the feel of it against his rough hands. He loved knowing your hands were soft and unblemished, not a single scar or callous. He loved knowing he kept you safe. He loved the idea of ruining his own hands, as long as yours stayed pure. You placed your head on his shoulder, intertwining your fingers with his. He sighed, leaning his head against his as he watched the sunset with you.
