Bassie sighed as she tucked her legs closer to her torso, her straps gently swaying with the most settle movements. It was enchanting in a way, it was how her flowers and leaves complimented her outfit and the curves of her body as she just simply sat there. She was the perfect main.
Or that was what Shelly thought, she fell over heels for the girl. It made sense though, Bassie was a sweet toon who was slightly shy. She was soft-spoken, but Shelly could always hear her voice out of the others. The basket even had her own securities that were similar to Shelly's, it made it easier to relate to each other in a lot of ways.
Since Gardenview closed to the public they both didn't need to worry about their relationship and prying eyes like Delilah to ruin it. They both despised the bitch for the trauma she caused to all of them.
As Bassie sulked in her thoughts, Shelly placed a firm hand on her shoulder as they sat under the tree.
"You wanna talk about it..?" The fossil gently asked, not wanting to upset her love any further.
Bassie hesitated with her answer, but she finally replied, "No..." She was scared to speak her feelings still.
She just smiled back to the basket and scooted closer to her. Simply being in her girlfriend's presence made her feel better.
The flower basket just grinned stupidly at the fossil, no wonder why she fell in love with this toon. She was perfect for her as well. It was like they were made for each other in a way. Delilah probably didn't mean to, but it didn't matter.
They continued to admire each other, simply enjoying each other's presence. Shelly leaned onto her shoulder which gave a firm idea that she would always be there for her.
"Soo...how's everything with Vee?" Bassie inquired.
The fossil's mood changed a bit hearing the TV's name. "I guess it's been better than it was years ago..." She mumbled to her.
"Hm, alright." She turned back to what was in front of her body. Toons were conversing and messing around, then her eyes settles onto Cocoa. Of course she was out today and chatting with Eggson and Flyte. Her breath hitched and she started to hyperventilate. Shelly took a notice real quick and she immediately got Bassie up and out of there.
Into Shelly's room, Bassie was sobbing into the fossil's shoulder gripping onto her like she was gonna die if she let go. This happened often sadly, it wasn't her fault. Delilah did a lot to hurt the basket toon when she still was here. She manipulated and emotionally abused her because she wasn't a good enough main. At times she even replaced her with Cocoa. The bunny still thinks she was completely okay with it. She even read the note that Delilah sent to Arthur for God's sake!
The fossil just held Bassie gently, humming to her in a sweet tune to help calm her. The panic attacks and the spiralings were getting worse, this worried Shelly a lot. She didn't know what to do with her anymore. The advice she's gotten wasn't the best either. It just made her worry more about her love, she wanted to help her with her entire soul and heart.
"Babe..." A muffled voice spoke to her.
"Yes hun..?" She replied quietly and sweetly.
"Can we cuddle?" The basket asked hoarsely, looking up with tear streaks down her face.
The shell looked into her glassy eyes and faintly smiled to her, "Of course we can..!" She adjusted herself to make it more comfortable for Bassie. The flower basket moved more into her lap, wrapping her arms loosely around the shell's neck.
Looking down onto the girl, Shelly couldn't help but beam at seeing her figure and how she peaceful she looked. It was rare for nice moments like this, but they cherished any second together no matter what.
Bassie leaned into the fossil and started to gently and quickly kiss into the crane of her neck. She simply giggled at the physical touch. Continuing on, she sat up a bit more planting a sweet kiss on the shell's lips. Now that made her feel giddy.
Feeling out the basket's curves she pulled her closer. Their chests against each other, they leaned in and kissed softly a bit longer than a few seconds. It felt like the world had paused for a second, just for them as they held and embraced each other. Salty tastes and fruitiness filled both their lips as they gave soft, but strong kisses.
Pulling away for a breath, the shell leans down toward the basket's sensitive and scarred arms to kiss and trace little hearts around her past struggles. Bassie just melted into the kisses and gentleness the shell gave her. It made her crave for more love from her beloved. She was her soulmate at this point, she could die everytime she touched and traced the girl's scars. They were past mistakes, but it made her feel stronger when Shelly gave her the love she needed.
Being touched starved her whole life, the fossil continued to be gentle to give the bestest love to the basket. It made her shiver at the thought for more sexual things. But for now, sensual love will work for the gal till they're both ready.
"You're the most beautiful girl in the world my honey bee~" The shell remarked, grinning at her.
She shivered hearing that comment. Leaning in, she gave the fossil a short, but the most sweetest kiss like fresh honey dipped in sugar. "Thank you, my jewel."
Shelly felt even more giddy and happier when she did that. This basket really knew how to make a toon smile. She continued to snuggle up to Bassie, trying to make her feel loved more than she ever got.
"I will always love and care about you." She whispered.
Bassie grinned, "I know..." She whispered back.
"You're too lovely and beautiful to be hurt, you know." The shell held her tighter.
The basket didn't reply to that last comment, but she did turn over to look into her eyes. It said everything, she knew Shelly loved her more than herself and she would do anything to help Shelly as well. She looked exhausted too, like she's see so much and she just needs to rest for a long time.
"What about we get you some rest, hm?" She suggested.
Bassie nodded, nuzzling into the crane of Shelly's neck again. Closing her eyes, she finally got to rest with her love in her arms.
Entangled limbs and gentle snoring, the two lovebirds finally have gotten some sleep after a lot of stress and fear. In their dreams, they had hopes for better futures and an escape from this hell they call home. The night continued in peace and resolute as they held each other for dear life. The birdhouses in their souls were now forever content with each other's support and blooming love.
