Chapter 1: Ch.1

Chapter Text

"Solar! Solar wake up!"Blaze's voice loudly echoed through the room as he shook his little brother in panic.

A few minutes ago, he was hiding in his brother's room, ready to pounce and scare him with the new devil mask he had bought specifically to prank people. Nothing new, just his daily antics. But oh boy, he never would have imagined that it would go horribly wrong.

"Blaze, why are you shouting at this hour?" Gempa came with a disapproving look on his face which turned into horor upon seeing his youngest brother laying out cold on the floor as blood flowed from the side of his head.

"What happened!?"He rushed towards them, his eyebrows furrowed in worry.

"I-I didn't mean to..!"Blaze retorted, his eyes filled with guilt. "I only meant to annoy him like usual!"

Before Gempa could say anything, Solar woke up with a groan. His face frowned in pain as he clutched his throbbing head. "Ugh, what happened?"

"Solar!"Blaze sighed in relief, the tension in his body finally relaxing.

"Thank god you woke up," Gempa sighed, his face looking as if he had just aged 10 years. "Let's get that wound of yours treated first."

Soon, Solar's room was swarmed by his brothers who were frantically checking his well-being, worried he might be injured badly and needed to go the hostpital.

Blaze only watched from afar as everyone gathered around Solar, his guilt preventing him from approaching his little brother. He was afraid of hurting his brother yet again.

It had been a simple prank, one Solar wouldn't even be fazed about. Blaze only intended to annoy him, he knew his genius brother wouldn't be scared of some childish demon mask.

So when Solar walked into the room, Blaze jumped out of his hiding from under the bed and yelled directly into his face, expecting him to not even react and simply kick him out of his room with an annoyed grunt like he'd always would. However, Solar did not only react, but he also jumped and slipped, hitting his head on the desk's corner as he fell.

"Blaze, we need to talk." Gempa gestured out of the room. Once they were out of everyone's reach, Gempa looked at him with his famous motherly look that Blaze was used to and began to scold him.

Unlike his previous mischief, Blaze fully regretted this one and could only listen silently. No tantrums, no complains, no protests, nothing. Just his own guilt eating him alive.

"You better apologize to him, do you hear me?"Gempa crossed his arms, his tone firm.

"Yes, Gemgem.."Blaze muttered much too quietly compared to his known loud self.

The next day, Blaze mentally prepared himself to be harshly kicked out of the room and ignored for the next few weeks. "You got this, just apologize and then make it up to him..." He took a deep breath and opened the cleanly painted white door.

"Hey Sol.."Blaze greeted akwardly. Knowing his little brother, Blaze kept a safe distance between them to not anger him any further.

No reply.

Blaze sweatdropped. Is he giving me the silent treatment?

"Ahem," He cleared his throat which sounded far too loud in this tensed silence. "Um, I'm sorry about yesterday..."He genuinely said. "I didn't mean to hurt you.."

A second. Then another. Blaze felt like an eternity had passed when Solar merely blinked at him and nodded. "You're forgiven."

"I know I was wrong, so-" Blaze stopped mid sentence and stared at his brother. "What did you just say?"

"You're forgiven," Solar repeated, this time a bit louder.

The teen's jaw dropped to the floor as he looked at his own brother like he was an alien. "WHAT!??" His voice was loud enough for the whole house to hear, causing his siblings to come and check what had just happened.

"Why are you shouting so early in the morning?"Halilintar asked with a frown, clearly not in the mood for whatever this was.

"You okay man? Your mouth is wide open." Taufan pointed out with a sweatdrop.

"Solar forgave me.."Blaze mumbled.

Huh?

The brothers were all now frozen in place, shocked by the sudden news. Solar forgave Blaze? That easily?

Each of them expected Solar to hold a grudge on Blaze for atleast a month or two since he had always been a rather petty person and he especially hated Blaze to his guts. Afterall, there wasn't a day that Blaze wouldn't try to annoy his youngest genius brother. Naturally all of them were shocked of this and couldn't believe it.

Gempa was the first to wake up from his trance and smiled in relief. "Well, that's good isn't it?"

"Yeah.."Taufan agreed, his eyes still twitching from disbelief. His head dizzy from confusion while Halilintar coughed in the background, fixing his composure.

Then Thorn also snapped back to reality and smiled brightly. "That's great! Then there won't be an argument for a month hurray!!"

As the second youngest who never liked seeing arguments between his beloved brothers, Thorn dreaded the coming weeks. He expected Solar's mood to be grim and constant outburst at Blaze which he truly didn't want to see. Even when it may be unbelieveable, Thorn chose to be happy with the situation and celebrated the easy outcome. If it's good, no need to ruin it.

"Stop staring at me, would you?" Solar finally spoke up again.

"Right, sorry." Blaze looked at him again. "Um, to double check, you really forgive me?"

"Yes. Now leave me alone, I want to rest." Everyone were kicked out of the room, leaving Solar alone to rest and recover.

"I'm glad it turned out this well." Gempa sighed with relief, his forehead for once free of worry lines. "Whatever you did, good job Blaze."

"Thanks...?"Blaze himself didn't know what he had done to earn Solar's apology. The last time he angered Solar, he practically had to be his maid and errand boy for an entire month until he finally forgave him. This was far too easy to be true.

"Dude seriously, how did you do that?"Taufan whispered.

"I really don't know.."

"You sure?? Cause I'd really need it for the next time I anger him-" Taufan was smacked on the head by Gempa before he was dragged away like a bag of potato.

"Oh and Blaze," Gempa turned to him. "Since Solar got hurt because of you, you're in charge of taking care of him got it?"

"Yes.."

"Thank you."

That night, Blaze couldn't get a single wink of sleep.

What if he is plotting some kind of twisted revenge on me!?

And for the first time in his life, Blaze feared his youngest brother.
