Itoshi Rin was just a kid when he decided he would play football with Sae. At that time even Sae hadn't presented yet, but they all knew he was going to be an alpha and he grew to become the perfect one.
When he got his first rut the Itoshi family made a party for him because that meant that their firstborn was going to be at the top of the world, he presented as an alpha and he was successful at football too so it was only a matter of time for Sae to get recruited to a famous football team.
In no time Sae got a ton of e-mails and he prepared himself to go to Spain, he was going to play in the European league in one of the best teams.
In the airport he told his little brother to become an alpha too and come play with him in the bigger leagues. Some people would say that they're insignificant words but, for Rin, they were the hope he held onto for a few years.
As the time went on Rin started to notice the lack of his brother passes and tactics so he trained himself to tiredness to gain all his brother's skills but even that wasn't enough.
He trained and trained until about three years after his brother departure. That's when he woke up in the middle of the night to a pain in his stomach. He was presenting. He felt happiness, hope to see his brother again but all that was crushed a few second later when he felt his pants and bed wet. He was presenting as an omega and he was going through he's first heat.
He didn't know what to do, no one in his family was an omega so he couldn't get suppressors anywhere without his parents knowing about his second gender so instead of just suffering he went to wake his parents up.
— Mom, dad, are you awake? — He said entering their room.
– Hmm... Rin? What do you... Are you presenting? — He asked smelling his new emanating pheromones.
— Yeah...
— They're sweet — His mother added — maybe a little too sweet... They smell like mint and chocolate ice cream, with some hints of vanilla too. Are you presenting as an omega?
— Yeah...
— Darling, go get the car keys, let's go to the pharmacy to get him some suppressors. — His father said changing his clothes and leaning to pat his son's head. — Rin, stay in your room, okay? Wait for us.
Rin obeyed and went back to his bed, presenting wasn't as painful as some omega classmates said, he was just annoyed because he had to change his sheets and pijamas before going back to sleep.
His parents arrived when he finished making the bed, gave him the pills and went to sleep after checking if he was okay. Rin swallowed one pill and went to sleep as well.
After that night Rin's days felt normal again, he didn't think much of it. He just had a natural smell that surrounded him everyday. He kept playing football to one day play with his brother again.
One evening, he was walking home after a long practice when he heard someone yelling from the other side of the rode. The person shouting seem to be a female alpha around two years older.
— Hey cutie! Are you alone? — She said getting closer.
Rin didn't want to do anything with her, he didn't even seem to acknowledge she was talking to him so he kept walking.
— Hey, I'm talking to you. — She grabbed his wrist to get Rin's attention which was successful. He grabbed his football tightly with the intention to escape this girl, he wasn't in the mood to talk to strangers late at night, but, unfortunately, she noticed. — What would such a pretty omega like you be doing this late? Is that a football? Don't tell me that you play that, it's not for cute omegas like you.
— Yes, I do play football and I'm going to be playing it all my life. Now let me go. — Rin answered freeing himself from that alpha.
— C'mon, don't be angry cutie. Let me take you on a date and talk this out.
— No, let me alone. — Rin said briefly before running away looking back to see if she was following him and luckily she wasn't.
He arrived home a few minutes later thinking about what she said.
— I'm home. — He said taking his shoes off.
— Welcome home Rin. — His mother answered. — Come to the dining room, dinner's ready and your dad and I want to talk to you about something.
Rin obeyed going inside the house and sitting down at the table looking at his parents and briefly at his brother's seat, Rin still misses him.
— Rin, — His father started talking, — you know that we love and care about, right? — the omega nodded. — Well, we never said nothing until now because your always look so happy playing but we've been talking and we think you should quit football.
Rin really didn't expect those words coming out of his father's mouth. He was in shock but before he could say something his mother followed his dad's words.
— We know that you love football and want to become a professional player with Sae but we don't think you should keep playing. I mean, football is not a place for you. There's no omegas playing football, the field is filled with alphas and betas, you have no place there dear.
Rin looked at both of them and then he talked.
— Are you asking me to quit the thing I've dedicated my whole life to? I'm sorry but I'm not. I will make a path for omegas to play, for me to play. I still have to play with Sae so I can't quit.
With that said he walked away to his room, he wasn't hungry anymore.
Obviously Rin wasn't oblivious to what his parents told him. There were a lot of people saying that he was going to be as successful as his brother. There were international teams thinking about recruiting him before he presented and when he said he was an omega all of them disappeared.
There were no longer teams recruiting him, the people wasn't talking about how great he was anymore. All they were talking about was about his presentation as an omega, they took pity on him because he could have gone pro if only he were an alpha.
He was going to show them that an omega could belong in the field, he will show them he had the capacity to be a professional player. He was going to be recruited to play with Same again and they were going to win.
Rin started training even more if it was possible, he would demonstrate the world he was going to be the best. He was going to win every match with his brother at his side.
But that dream was crushed on a snowy night. His brother returned home while he was training. They fought, Rin lost. His dream? Crushed. His brother's words? Engraved in his mind.
"You are a lukewarm. How could you think you could play on bigger leagues at this level? And, I don't even have to mention it, you're an omega, you don't belong in the field with me. This dream of yours, 'our dream', you better give up on it."
The blood boiled inside Rin's body, Sae was no one to say that. He gave up on our dream, now I'm going to crush him. His dreams and ideals will all be destroyed by me, his pathetic little omega brother.
One envelope arrived, Rin's name on it. Blue Lock? They wanted him there?
"Dear Itoshi Rin,
we have seen your matches and accomplishes so we would like to invite you to our program.
Blue Lock is a program designed to choose the best striker in Japan for him to win the world cup.
We are glad to have you with us, if you accept the invitation contact the email [email protected] for more information.
PD: We don't mind that you're Sae's little brother nor that you're an omega. If you accept you'll have to wear a collar to prevent accidents but that's all.

"So Blue Lock" he thought, it will be interesting. Then he contacted the e-mails to confirm his attendance.
With the invitation in hand Rin swore to crush Sae, to beat him, to make him eat his own words and to make the world see that this omega was capable of beating even the best.
Days passed before he could go to the Blue Lock's facility but he awaited patiently.
The doors opened, Ego have his speech and they all went in.
First Selection didn't have any difficulty for him, he was better than all the people with him. At first they made comments about being with an omega but he shut them up with the first goal.
They were a bunch of good-for-nothing who just felt superior because of their alpha gender. He was going to show them what an omega could do.
After the first match he could feel his team looking at him with jealousy and/or lust. Maybe they felt that an omega who played the same spot as them was much more attractive or something but he couldn't care less about them.
After the end of First Selection he walked to an area where only the people that passed could be in. Ego announced the lie of them being in the worst place of Blue Lock, it was to break their confidence and to start the Second Selection.
The beginning of it was individual, that felt right to Rin, he doesn't want to help people pass like he did with his team before.
At that room he could feel all the people looking at him in between their talks 'of being scared to go through that door first', so he decided to give them a show kicking two balls with such amazing curves that they reunited in mid air.
The crowd was amazed, whispering things about how could he be that good, shocked because he was an omega. But in between all those eyes he sensed ones that interested him, deep blue eyes that weren't looking at him like an endangered specie or like another omega. That person was looking at him with deep admiration. "Hmm, that's new" he thought before going into the next challenge after his worm up.
