Hanji groaned as they awoke from the bed. They looked down at themselves and saw that they’d been bandaged up. Sighing they looked around. Their expression confused and disoriented. Then, they heard a loud clang then silence.
They looked towards the door. And gasped. There, they saw someone that they’d thought they’d never meet again.
“Levi..?” Hanji said softly, their voice thick with suppressed tears and relief evident in their voice. Levi looked shocked, he maneuvered himself from his wheelchair towards where Hanji was. “..Hanji..” Levi said softly. Laced with relief.
Hanji's eyes widened as they saw that Levi had a scar and had a blind eye. “..what happened to you..?” Hanji asked. Looking at Levi with a worried expression.
“..remember the explosion?” Levi asked. Hanji nodded. Remembering that they’d found him and stitched him up. The memory was slowly coming back to them.
“That’s what happened. As for you, you were severely burnt. Most thought you were dead, but some people found you while they were on a boat ride so they took you back to paradise.”
Hanji nodded. Thankful that someone had saved them from dying at least. All though, they felt numb in their legs and their arms hurt a little. But that wouldn’t mean they’d loose mobility in their legs right..?
Unless the wheelchair beside their bed next to Levi belonged to them? Hanji took a deep breath and asked Levi. "Levi. Is that wheelchair next to you for me?" Levis expression darkened, he then nodded hesitantly. And said "yes..you lost mobility in your legs due to the pain of the burns on your legs.." Hanji nodded, they were a bit sad that their worst nightmare came true. And that they'd most likely couldn't get the strengh back in their legs for at least a long time.
