HUNTR/X was just finishing up a performance, it was one of the smaller ones. I mean it was still plenty of fans in the crowd. But it was big like the end to their world Tour, it was calming for Zoey it kinda reminded her of when the girls had started out, yes they were popular especially with their help getting set up by Celine. This was just the perfect show too, no over-excited fan jumping over the rails, no demons showing up before hand and it just swelled up around Zoey. The feels ate her up, normally this was bad, NOT TODAY!! She was beaming head to toe and moving so animated.
The last song wides up and they girls are all standing on stage. Rumi was probably gonna say something about the next line up of shows, thanking the crowd and yatta yatta. Zoey got an idea.
I mean it's not that bad. It was bound to happen eventually.
The lights beamed around in a more still manner, Rumi waving as they all prepared to walk off.
"Thank you all so much for coming, we couldn't do this without you fans"
Rumi spoke proud even if she was a sweaty mess after being on stage for so long.
"Until next time." Mira added.
Okay, Zoey was grinning ear to FUCKING EAR now. Rumi could tell something was about to happen.
"OH yeah and guys! Stop pretending me and Mystery are dating! It weird to pretend something that.. IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING"
Zoey bounced up and down like she didn't even believe in gravity.
The corwd went feral, like oh my gosh. Zoey just smiled and waved as she basically danced off stage.
When HUNTR/X was in the elevator back to their apartment, Zoey was still full of energy.
"So what's up with that sudden announcement?"
Mira asked
"Ya' know, I just thought it's time."
Zoey flung herself out the elevator, ready for some comfy clothes and relax.
"Did you even tell Mystery you were gonna say that?"
Rumi questioned, this made Zoey pause for a minute.
... Nope, she did NOT.
"Uh.. I mean we talked about it a little."
"Girlfriend of the year here."
(Uhhh cut to whatever the fuck the Saja boys are doing)
The boys all ended up living in the same building as the girls, different floor bit still in that huge skyscraper. So the whole place was rebranded to HUNTR/X and The Saja Boys. Basically being idol partners and working closely together.
Besides the death glares Mira would send any of the boys for the first few weeks. It worked well. Especially with the whole switch up to actual idols then trying to murder everyone. And the girls being able to help them get used to life now.
They all sat in the lounge, well most oh them. (Fuck Abby he's not included) Mystery was at the girls performance before but just teleported back home after wishing Zoey a good luck. But he was on the couch, chillin on his phone and notably, he was in his demon form.
Why?
After their big firery boss died, they would have to try and keep the demon forms at bay. Everyone got the hang on it, but Mystery hated it, being human just felt.. itchy and wrong. So whenever he's not in public or simply alone, we'd just turn to be more comfortable. Even if it's just showing patterns, or the full fangs and all.
Baby appeared out of no where, shoving his phone in Mysterys' face. Mystery retaliated with a stupid dog growl.
"Dude chill, just look"
It was a recording of the end of the HUNTR/X performance from a fans perspective in crowd, recently uploaded to social media or whatnot. Then Zoey in the recording started talking after Mira....
Wait what did she say..??
"I didn't know you guys planned to announce that"
"We didn't.."
Mystery said dull, he sighed. Everyone just stared for a minute.
"Wait.. Zoey didn't ask you about this?"
Jinu stated and questioned.
Mystery just... POOF. He teleported to the HUNTR/X floor, he had the decency to show up in the elevator so he didn't just show up in Zoeys room. He walked out, Mira was grabbing something out the fridge when she was Mystery walk past. They made awkward eye contact, well oy awkward for Mystery. Mira was clearly trying to tell him something, just by looking.. weird, just doesn't she just say something?
Nevermind.. it's the demon form thing.
POOF. She seemed content an turned away, already knowing what Mystery was here for. At least she didn't hate him as much as Abby or Romance. He knocked on Zoeys' door. Being greeted with a
"Come in"
She sounded very cheerful. He entered and just stood in the door way. He didn't say anything until Zoey noticed who it was.
"Oh, hey you. I probably should have-"
"You told them?"
He cut her off, which he normally hates doing, spoke with a little bit of disappointment. But he wasn't fully upset.
"Um.. yeah? I should have giving you a heads up.. sorry Myst."
They ended up close to each other. Mystery took both of Zoey's hands, his thumbs rubbing small circles into the palms of Zoeys'
"I'm not mad, I just don't like all the attention it'll shine on us. The media will never hear the end of it..."
"I kinda thought our whole brand is attention. But I do get what you're saying, it's our personal lives, and it is scary when it's put front and centre."
Zoey did feel bad. She understood why Mystery wanted it to stay out of the eyes of fans. But she knew it would leak eventually or people would find out. If people would know, it would have to be from one of them.
They hugged (awhh cuties)
"Any way I can make it up to you?"
Zoey said into his shoulder.
"Just.. cuddles?"
He said. Zoey smiled and just like that. Boom, they were on Zoeys' bed with Mystery snuggled into Zoeys' chest (Lucky guy..) with haft his body weight on her and one leg over hers. Zoey scuffing his hair, lifting his bangs so she could see his eyes and some patterns that showed around his eyes and forehead, where his human form was lazily fading. Mystery having a hard time staying like this because of how itchy and uncomfortable it felt being human.
"Can I see those fangs?"
Zoey asked. God, she was cute when se asks. Damnit she was cute to Mystery in any context.
"I'm doing this for me. Not your weird obsession with my teeth"
A puff of pink smoke came and went. All patterns out, as well as a nice set of fangs.
"Hehehe, chompers"
Zoey said, poking at one for a moment.
Mystery was calm. He was definitely not falling asleep though... definitely.
