“Saps why are you still at Flux’s grave? Come on,” Cass called. She was right, why was he at Flux’s grave, or, why did he even make one for him? Flux framed him for the death of so many Island 2 leaders- he was supposed to be the one that hated him the most, yet here he was, mourning the death of someone who caused so many. Saparata brought his knees to his chest, fidgeting with his fingers.
“Sorry, it’s just, y’know.” He sighed, looking at Fluixon’s head placed next to his tomb. Cass looked over and walked towards Saparata, sitting besides him. She tried to pull Saps into a hug, which Saparata flinched at.
“My bad,” Cass apologized.
“I know it can be hard.”
“But it shouldn’t. I should be happy he’s dead, or whatever, but I just can’t bring myself to feel that way.” Why was he like this? Why did he have such an attachment to Flux? Fluixon didn’t, he didn’t even hesitate to try killing him, so why did he hesitate when he had to kill Flux? Why did he feel more guilty than Flux ever did when he was murdered by Saps’ hands? His chest tightened. He felt bad for Cass having to deal with him. Cass’ eyes softened, as she looked at the grave Saps built. ‘Fluixon - Goodbye Friend’ was engraved on the stone.
“He was your best friend after all, when you think of Fluixon, which part of him do you think about?” Saparata thought for a moment.
———
Fluixon was with Saparata in the jungle, helping Saps with finding the right place for his vacation home. He decided to stay off politics and be solo this season, since he was obviously on the repeat rule.
“Nah, cause we actually got this whole jungle to ourselves and island one get’s one tree, Ish did them SO dirty.” Flux laughed, kicking away a branch. he took Saps hand and intertwined them.
“Dude imagine having such a big food problem you resort to relying on a rat to provide your food supply.”
“Hey! Ratatouille literally taught us that anyone can cook.”
“okaayyy” Flux dragged out. He rested his head on Sap’s shoulder, as they adventured for awhile in a comfortable silence, just them being together with each other as the sun rises.
“Do you think we’ll still be together after everything?” he murmured, almost like he was scared of it happening. “OH, as friends of course! haha” Flux rushed out.
”Uhm, of course, why would I ever need to betray you?”
”Right.” Flux squeezed Sap’s hand tighter.
“Hey, that’s a perfect spot for your vacation home!” Flux pointed at a grassy hill.
“Ooh yeah. It looks beautiful.” And it was, but it wasn’t the prettiest thing here. Fluixon was right there, after all.
He think he’d be fine with any ending, as long as it ended with him being beside Flux.
———
He looked at the grass, which looked kind of dead. In fact, all the grass surrounding Flux’s grave seemed to be dead.
”Uhm, I can’t think of one moment particularly.” But he could.
Cass checked her watch. “Oh shoot- I’m gonna go, but I hope you know you aren’t wrong for anything you’re feeling right now.” And then Cass took off.
Saps put his head in his hands.
Destiny did give him what he wanted in the end anyway, there he was, sitting beside Flux. Well, sitting beside Flux’s head.
